There's a couple things you can do to make this more efficient if you wanted. I did this method, but I used an alt account to splash the gnome right next to the bank. I also kept the rogue's outfit on and since I was standing next to the bank, instead of dropping, I just deposited everything into the bank. Only deposit when you're stunned from pickpocketing. I was getting about 170k xp/hr, and about 9.5 med clues/hr.
I honestly like video's like these. Quite gamechaning updates that you explain really well. I'd like to stay up to date with all the updates, but I slack sometimes and video's like these help a lot. Keep it up kip!
A note on thieving! You can multiskill thieving with Artifact Thieving in Zeah. The wiki lists rates at 200,000xp/hr starting just over level 70, and because you have to teleport often you may as well teleport to the Hallowed Sepulchre bank between thieves and fill up on glass to blow. If you're saving up for the graceful recolor like me, you can just bring feathers, shafts, and broad arrowheads instead, or alchables.
Interesting! Why hallowed sepulchre bank specifically? I wonder if thieving artefacts is worthwhile for ironmen at 70 thieving considering they wouldn't normally have staminas by then
.66 of an efficient hour when u consider the 99 thieving soft requirement. Still a fire method though, i would like to see someone assess it from 90-99 thieving, still bound to save time surely if you dont have your rangers yet
@@idewmeth4203 yeah weve all heard jagex say that. Repeating doesnt make it true though, and stackable clues would still be a fun side thing. I get both sides wanting or not wanting it but that point really makes no sense.. if you enjoy doing your clues right away, you could still do that. I personally hate the interruption and would much prefer to set aside a larger chunk of time for clues.
Perhaps like ecumenical keys can have only 3 until you unlock some diary or the like. Yeah I've often skipped clues just gets in the way of what I'm doing 🙃
a master quest requiring making history, you use a new "locator key" to find new god artifacts you give to the museum, that would reward you with different beginner/common alignments, as well as a baby mimic that slurps up clues and can hold 100 of each clue
The only issue i have with the math is that the exp is worth 0 at 99 thieving. If you consider the exp as valuable, then you should use reduced exp rates for both methods. Maybe running the math for levels 75 when gnomes are unlocked, then 85 and 95 as progression milestones to show the curve. Great video as always!
Thanks for the info, I’m a lvl 3 uim and I wanted to know how it would be, any collection log would be awesome, I got the wolf mask on med clue 53 and after that I didn’t care much for meds but any new collection log slot will be nice after i max, still 4 skills to go
6:10 I would be surprised if it's actually the case, because in the wildy agility arena, the medium clue is dropped on the floor when your inventory is full
I tried them and thieved with full inv, only 12 times i got the message that my inv did not have space for all the loot and figured out you did not get a medium clue while full inv. Could not find any mention of that before you did in the vid.
Hello Mr. mudkip, I am wondering what your thoughts are on pickpocketing paladins for hard clues? The rate seemed quite low even after the change, but I understand the gp and chaos runes are nice (thinking about for an early-ish game ironman. I appreciate the video on gnomes
No idea, haven't looked into them at all. If the rate of hard clues is low I'd imagine it should be decent thieving xp/hr to offset that. If it's not hopefully they balance it so that it is. And thanks for watching!
11:49 The greatest assumption is that you're farming for both Thieving exp AND medium clue scrolls though. If you're actively focused on training Thieving (which is most often going to be the case) you're scaling with each level to an increased exp/hr. As you level up, that rate will be much better improved hour over hour at ardy knights than the much worse rate at Gnomes. Knights will also cap out early at 95. This method only makes sense for those who are actively farming only medium clue scrolls...but you also didn't factor in how many clue scrolls you obtain when you're not 99 thieving and failing much more often, especially cause you're comparing it to a non-thieving method of obtaining clue scrolls.
If someone isn't looking to get thieving xp and medium clues idk why they would watch a guide about getting thieving xp and med clues For your 2nd concern, I addressed that in the video at 6:25 saying it's not a worthwhile method before level 99
