40km per hour, on sparsely traffic condition. Its still at experimental stage but a good start.

As far as I know, it's been in operation in an experimental stage for well over 1 year.
But it was required by law to have a driver sitting in the driver's seat.
So this is the 1st city where the government has relaxed the law. But not the 1st city to have autonomous robotaxis.

so high-tech and convenient as a traveler -> All you do is you download the App, you book the trip, the car based on GPS drives automatically to your location, you look for license plate (maybe with a correct code, you can open the door) -> and they drive you to your destination, and the payment is digital
One drawback is it is taking jobs away from taxi drivers in big cities, which is very sad!

Too many sensors used, chances of sensor malfunction is high. Also regular sensors calibration needed. Beside the wireless technogy and electronics need to improve further. Still a distance to true uselful application.

Autonomous robotaxi services have been in service for more than a year in different cities in China.
This is the 1st city to not require a driver sitting in the driver's seat by law. But *NOT* the 1st city to have autonomous robotaxis.
