- Syphilis is called as a great imitator. So it imitates various clinical conditions and it presents with several manifestations. It can present with a rash, with scaly skin, mouth ulcers, can present with genital ulcers. Not only this, it can involves swelling of various internal organs. People can have swelling of the liver, spleen. They can have swelling in the brain which can give rise to convulsions, which is commonly recognized as fits. Sometimes they can step into coma. Syphilis is one condition which can present in many methods and it is very important to recognize that. How can a common man recognize Syphilis? Syphilis is a sexually transmitted infection and when there is a history of a relation from an unknown person, it is not a monogamous reaction, then any ulcer on the body, or any infection has to be checked for Syphilis many at times, Syphilis is also contracted at the time of other various infections like gonorrhea, herpes, cancroid. So people require other various investigations when they have a history of contact with an unknown person and they have history of fever, rash, ulcers or any other discomfort. Syphilis is a bacteria, which is very sensitive to antibiotics. But we have a set of antibiotics which are specifically for treating Syphilis and if treated properly, Syphilis can be completely cured without any complications.

Yes, but penicillin dose must take if it is not available or not suitable take doxycycline 100mg capsule for 28 days.
