- How can you take your research to the next level? In this inspiring talk, Dr. Bruce Bugbee describes how having a prepared mind led him to dig deeper into “funny” or anomalous data that many would disregard, but resulted in some of the biggest discoveries of his career. He originally gave this talk at the 2022 American Society of Agronomy conference in Baltimore, Maryland. Bruce is one of the most prolific crop physiologists in the world, a professor at Utah State University, and founder of Apogee Instruments, Inc. “Einstein’s budget was a box of chalk”😂😂
Dr. Bugbee is the Shiznizzel! I absolutely love his lessons. Nothing but respect, but he’s also easy to listen to on 1.75 playback speed, then switch him to normal after about 5 minutes and he will sound absolutely stoned out of his mind!🤣
Always dropping knowledge like it’s hot! Thank you Bruce!!!
Damn Doc....you looking good brother! I and the rest of the cannabis community appreciate you more then you'll ever know!!!
Oh Yes, another Great material from Bruce Bugbee @apogee Instruments. Keep it Going and Maintain, please Bruce. Greetings and much Love and Respect to you and your Corporation. Thank You Very Much.
We appreciate each of your videos Bruce. Educational and always intriguing and fully engaging content. I always seem to learn something new when I watch your channel.
What a wonderful educator, I wish I would of had teacher like him many decades ago, someone who brings a sense of excitement to a seemly mundane subject, I bet there is still so much more to discover. I imagine more consistent controllable lighting of various spectrums has made experiments easier to repeat, that and very accurate measurement instruments, and most importantly, having enough love of the field to ask the right questions. Oh, and funds too, research costs money, that's why it's so very important for us as a country to financially support the sciences, imagine the discoveries that could be made is we gave them half the yearly budget of the US military.
Awesome detail,,,and was easy to take in and understand in lyman terms,,,,,love all you have done and thank you for all your research,,,keep up the awesome work Dr, Bugbee
Thank you Dr. Bugbee for all you do. Thank you to your colleagues also for all of their contributions to furthering our collective knowledge.
To me, It's meaning is: being able to learn from mistakes that aren't necessarily mistakes..just that you may be mistaken.
A great example of this is William Herschel..
I agree with the final image, being one of great theoretical engagements. It’s kinda like the story of Christian Von Koenigsegg, his love of autos came from watching a claymation video about an old man teaching his grandson how to compete with the bigger, more robustly funded teams and, with a little common sense and ingenuity, they created something that no one else had perceived as being a possibility. That’s the secret behind Koenigsegg being the most uniquely breathtaking, and performing vehicles available today.
It really comes down to self-love and self respect. Similar to the 2-part photosynthetic process. Because love and respect are invisibly tied to one another, so intrinsically so that, one can only experience each one, in the absence of the other. Self-love and self respect are one and the same, on the surface, to the uninitiated, or to the less observant of us who look but don’t see.
The theoretical thinking that happens in the mind of theorists, is unbridled artwork, at its more creative stadium of thought.
thankyou and your colleagues so much for all your hard work, i have been implementing far red in my gardening for a couple of years now thanks to an interview you did with shane at migro then i went on a binge of videos i found of yours. the results i've experienced supplementing a tiny bit of far red in my garden have been phenomenal, truly phenomenal. God Bless
Pure gold as always
Thankyou Dr. Bruce Bugbee! For all your Effort and Generosity Sharing your Knowledge,For being a Great Teacher.
Thankyou to all those who Helped Research and Put Together the Pieces of the puzzle of life.
Felt like posting some of my Notes. :)
(traditional photosynthetic photons (400-700 NM)
It takes Eight Photons to get through and fix CO2. 4+4 photons to create ......one photon excites one electron
Photon system 2 travels
2H20 02 + 4h+
Emmerson enhancement effecctt...
4 photons come down
They Rise up
Turn-fall into wheel of fortune
Mill Makes ATP
+
iNTO photosytem 1
&Far red photons (above 700nm)
The 4 photons charge the other to rise up
4+4=8 (then they fall together)
= NADPH
What is NADPH in photosynthesis?
Image result for NADPH
Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotide Phosphate Hydrogen (NADPH)
NADPH is a product of the first level of photosynthesis.
It helps to fuel the reactions that occur in the second stage of the process of photosynthesis.
Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate, abbreviated NADP⁺ or,
in older notation, TPN, is a cofactor used in anabolic reactions,
such as the Calvin cycle and lipid and nucleic acid syntheses,
which require NADPH as a reducing agent.
It is used by all forms of cellular life. NADPH is the reduced form of NADP⁺.
Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate (NADPH)
is an essential electron donor in all organisms,
and provides the reducing power for anabolic reactions and redox balance.
NADPH homeostasis is regulated by varied signaling pathways and several metabolic enzymes
that undergo adaptive alteration in cancer cells.
Call me crazy but i see a correlation with the kabbalah-Tree of life :P But thats another story for another Time.
Oh and your Photon system 1 and photon system 2 reminds me of Boaz and Jachin.
Thank you so much! Very interesting stuff, you make me want to follow a class again, too bad i can't study in america, i would have loved to have you as my teacher mr bigsbee!
WHAT a LEGEND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
thank you bruce and your colleagues for everything you have done in this field, absolutely amazing 👍
That makes sense to juxtapose perfection and anomalies then refine the search again. If only politicians could work that way and self-correct themselves before we even have to ask...
Professor Bruce. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thanks you Dr. Bugbee sharing your experience and knowledge
Chance favors the open mind!
The bad guy in Under Siege 2 quoted “Chance favors the prepared mind” as well. We’ll done sir, great video!
Just about everything segal related is ripped off. In this case we must credit Louis Pasteur
good stuff Bruce
That was absolutely fantastic .... totally brilliant
Bugbee for president 💯🏆
Thanks for another great video Dr. Bugbee!
Excellent presentation
The father of microbiology most famous quote !!!!
Very thoughtful presentation! Thank you!
Thank you!!
❤ thank you

👍🏻
I'd like to get a jersey with Dr. Bugbee on it
Zero Light at night is best, I guess we can all agree.
how is this not inspiring
thank you
hi bruce i always wanted to ask is ther eny spaceweed on the iss for experements
Hey, that's a good excuse for my procrastination and continued reading about cannabis cultivation, instead of poppin' some of Jack's beans.
Hopefully, my 413TomaccoRd channel will be on youtube by May or June. 1st grow with said prepared mind. What could go wrong? 😬
Wrong axis is used for Stomatal Conductance, otherwise great video as usual
Could Dr. Bugbee tell about optimal concentration of potassium for cannabis?
🐐🐐🐐
Hello this is off topic but have you got any information on blue light and environmental factors having effects on the amount of females ,to me it sounds like a myth from misunderstanding data/correlations with herms ,I find a lot of infomation stating its not possible to turn a female into a male and it's encoded in the seed before germation ,please can you help with any info or a clip of yours you can link ✌️💚
measurements are scaffolding approximations around quantum entanglement functions. measurements are absolute and between multiple points of reference, while entanglement is based on vector physics and relative. we can not have measurements in real time, only about the past. same way we can only have probabilities about the future, not measurements. entropy is the sewing of spacetime between probabilities and measurements. the human concept of time is an illusion. everything we do in plant science is alchemy through entropy.
xlnt once again.......my mind is prepared just a little bit more
is it possible to do soilless organic mediums? that use enzymes and compost and mycelia but harbors no bug life at all? I'd imagine we could design some synthetic sludge easily, but we would need to break down organic plant science differently than we currently do. i've personally been experimenting with treating half soil half coco as a coco grow but trying to have organic material for biodiversity, correct ph balance and better enzymatic nutrients uptake. End goal being making a supersoil that will lack nothing and can not host pest, without going full hydro or lab setup.
interesting
🏎️
bruh he just called them lesser people
First
Amazing work, peace.
Thank you sir
