    Not my experience!! First drop off went smooth. Dropping off at new lication, not so much! Guy had to block my whole driveway because it was loaded with door facing back of truck and he couldnt back into the extra parking space where we planned for it to be for unloading. Which I fully explained to customer service when I scheduled.
    He said podzilla could not turn it around.
    When I tried to call customer service it was a 25 minute wait the driver was gone by that time.
    A week later the evening before final pick up, I did not get an email or a call. I checked at 10:30 pm EST. I tried getting a live person on the phone four different times all afternoon and evening. It kept sending me back to the loop.
    The next morning(today) I had an email stating between 9 and 12. I have no time to let my neighbors know. I have to move my son's car, which I dont even know how to start!
    I am just not happy at all. I will see how the pick up driver does.

    I'm about to use one of these for My Move. I live near clearwater FL now the water is Great. I noticed he opened the door did You put a Lock on that i missed? How much stuff did You fit in it?. As far as customer service the first Rep i spoke to was Great although he said he would send Me his direct info so i Didn't need to deal with a bunch of different people, He never did. But Like You said every Rep i have spoken to was Great. Little Nervous but I appreciate your Video.

      This was the pickup of the empty pod at the very end of the move. The driver was just checking to make sure the pod was empty.

    I used PODS to move from California to the midwest and had no problems. After my arrival to my new home I hired help to unload my belongings. I recommend you pack your POD very well with no loose items, etc. A POD cost a lot less then renting a Uhaul in California versus other states because their prices are 3 times more due to the many people moving out of Californa.

    The secret is to put a camera on the the whole time they are there and let them know there is a camera on them the whole time. :)
    I'm getting ready for a cross country move and I've read too many horror stories from moving companies destroying or even stealing people's valuables during a move. I really like the idea of doing my own packing, my own loading and my own unloading. Other than the truck running off the road or something drastic, any damage caused would be 100% my fault for poor packing.

    Three years and you don't know that about 4 inches from the pod and you'll have clearance to drop the back down. No need to raise up the front to "level" the podzilla the towers are fine as they are. Fan out the lift so it's just past your drives on the truck and that's enough width for the podzilla to go over the container. Don't need to waste time scrunching in the podzilla. Decent job overall.

    Thank you so much for this video. I am planning on moving about 200 miles away. If I pack, have them pick it up and store it for a few months before they final delivery to the home, do you know if they store it in a climate controlled environment?

      Boomer Baby that would be a question for Pods. I do not know for sure but they are a big company... I’ll bet the do offer it.

      They have heated warehouses but no a/c so your stuff won’t freeze. I’m storing mine until my house is built

    Will they provide movers to help pack too and is that expensive?

    • @PaddyGDIY
      @PaddyGDIY  5 лет назад +2

      Yes they do provide help. The info is on their web site, pods.com. We did ours ourselves and we packed it over a couple of weeks. In hindsight I wish we had hired some help. Thanks for asking!

    Obviously a "paid for" review.

    • @PaddyGDIY
      @PaddyGDIY  5 лет назад +11

      Nope... I don't do paid for reviews. No one has ever given me anything to mention or review. This was just a great company that I wanted to tell people about.
      It is so hard to find companies that do what they say the will do, when they say they will do it and then do it with a smile and a willingness, no eagerness, to help!
      It was a great experience during a stressful time. I highly recommend them.

    • @lisar1770
      @lisar1770 4 года назад +2

      It did seem kind of staged. Like this guy is a reviewer and had this scheduled just to do a review. Of course it was so fun and positive!
