      Fancy swapping it for an Aprilia? Not entirely joking!

      @@lukegough7495 It's tempting, but I'm going to try and hang to this car for a while. I am hoping to get an Aprilia one day........

      I think you had a Belna/Augusta for sale a while ago that I was considering. You’re not too far away from me so hopefully I can see the Ardea in person some time.

    Thank you for posting these videos. I had always wondered how superleggera cars are built.

    I'd been happy with the video if it only showed fabrication of the steering wheel center.
    But there was so much more. Magnificent.

      Agreed! That bit was the perfect demo/definition of "hammer forming".

    I love the build but I think the only problem is the proportions are not quite right with the distance between the door and front wheel opening are a bit to long. Could have had up to 300mm taken out to give it more balance.

    • @GasoliniASMR
      @GasoliniASMR  2 года назад

      Yes, I think you are right. I sort of guessed at the time and if I was to do it again I think I would remove a bit between the door and front wheel, as you mention, plus maybe a 100mm behind the rear wheels. Maybe an extra 20mm height on front bonnet too.

    I wonder if you get the feeling as well,that the shape may trap air in the back, at speed?

    • @GasoliniASMR
      @GasoliniASMR  2 года назад +1

      I think you could be right. I have been thinking of fitting a flat floor from front to back but not got round to it yet.

    What a job well done !!! But I would like to ask you something. After a sculpture like this, don't do an electric car in any way, it's a sin.
    Thank you for your understanding, and great greetings from Belgrade

      Thanks! I much prefer vintage engines but I am fed up with the waiting time and cost of getting simple parts machined. I am stuck in two minds. Maybe I need to learn how to use a lathe!
