I think you had a Belna/Augusta for sale a while ago that I was considering. You’re not too far away from me so hopefully I can see the Ardea in person some time.
I love the build but I think the only problem is the proportions are not quite right with the distance between the door and front wheel opening are a bit to long. Could have had up to 300mm taken out to give it more balance.
Yes, I think you are right. I sort of guessed at the time and if I was to do it again I think I would remove a bit between the door and front wheel, as you mention, plus maybe a 100mm behind the rear wheels. Maybe an extra 20mm height on front bonnet too.
What a job well done !!! But I would like to ask you something. After a sculpture like this, don't do an electric car in any way, it's a sin. Thank you for your understanding, and great greetings from Belgrade
Thanks! I much prefer vintage engines but I am fed up with the waiting time and cost of getting simple parts machined. I am stuck in two minds. Maybe I need to learn how to use a lathe!
Beautiful! Looking forward to your next build.
You must be beyond proud. An amazing achievement.
Thanks. I am pretty happy!
What a wonderful driving experience after all this time. Congratulations on a job well done!
Thanks Grant!
Looked like some in car Targa Florio footage. Magnificent...
I throughly enjoyed this series, what a result!
cheers Luke!
Fancy swapping it for an Aprilia? Not entirely joking!
@@lukegough7495 It's tempting, but I'm going to try and hang to this car for a while. I am hoping to get an Aprilia one day........

Fantastic work!
thank you for posting this series of videos. you have built a wonderful car. very impressive work. well done.
Thanks Russell
Thank you for posting these videos. I had always wondered how superleggera cars are built.
I'd been happy with the video if it only showed fabrication of the steering wheel center.
But there was so much more. Magnificent.
Agreed! That bit was the perfect demo/definition of "hammer forming".
I've been looking forward to this. Time to grab a beverage and settle in.
Thanks Bill. I hope your cats and fish enjoy it.
Fantastic result, time really well spent. Thanks for posting all of the videos, it's been really interesting to see how you've tackled things.
Thanks Chris
Awesome
Love this! You’re an artist too!
Thanks! Keep up the good work yourself!

Awesome, what’s next! :)
Still to be decided!
I wonder if you get the feeling as well, that the shape may trap air in the back, at speed?
I think you could be right. I have been thinking of fitting a flat floor from front to back but not got round to it yet.
