In the ATL concert, the visuals computer had technical difficulty for small bit and Porter said he doesn't usually do this but decided to do an audience request by using his iconic voice changer. This song was what groups of people were yelling. As Porter was about to play he got the signal from the crew and said to the audience "The computer is good to go but we still have to do this right?" Ofc crowd cheered. Porter said he'll make it quick. He sang the song beautifully but the fun part was he said he never played GV in the piano before even speaking normally in the voice changer apologizing for the struggle XD Best concert in my life.

My grandmother has dementia and has sadly reached the point of no mental return. I have found a small amount of solace in music that brings my imagination to the point that I felt when I was a child. I got to take my two brothers to their first rave, and you were the main act, porter as Virtual Self. When I say it was a religious experience, anyone who got to witness it knows exactly that it was just that. I was at the time recently diagnosed with bipolar 2. I felt my life crashing and burning before my eyes. I hadn’t been to a rave in over 5yrs at that point since moving to Austin. You came and my little brother loves you, so he suggested it and I got us all tickets for it. I had never seen my older brother dance, never seen my little brother smile so much, and I couldn’t have had that experience without you dreaming this whole experience up. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for all you’ve done with music and visuals and lyrics even. You keep my mind free. Peace ☮️ and love ❤️

Pure chills to this day.
Heck yeah
This is the future
Carpoolparty I say this all the time! 👍 WE ARE IN THE FUTURE!!! AND ITS SIIIKKK
Actually it's the past ^_^ Early 2000s-inspired, specifically. You can read Porter's leaked email about it
it was and still is the best future
I hope that when the Latin trap (like bad bunny, j balvin, etc.) goes out of fashion these songs are more heard
************* true. No offense to culture but I hate Latin pop 😂 it's annoying
In love with the Cyberpunk-GITS-Synthwave-Futuristic vibes i'm getting right now.
*Unplugs the adapter from the back of my cyber-enhanced head.*
"Affirmative."
This is the coolest song I have ever heard in my life. Please make more in the same vein as this!!!
As a 90's dance music and Porter Robinson fan, I just can say that this is AMAZING!
Greetings from Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. 👋🏻
Can't believe it's been 4.5 years since I first listened to this!
It was the summer of 2019.
Time flies way too fast man 😅
Still mad this didn’t win the GRAMMYs.
@Agin Manuel yeah so they'll give it to some pop trash
Who nominates these songs and who votes for the winner
Because i have never seen the likes of Martin Garrix on them nominees
livi I agree with you
To me Grammy's electronic record of the year award is totally bullsh**t
Unless they have some other way of judging Edm song of the year
@@comforth3898 thank the lord that Martin Garrix is not on them nominees -_-
same , sobs
I get goosebumps when I hear this virtual self ghost voices music. When I have intense emotions towards something, adrenaline is released and races through my body.
You should try this in car when the sun is going down
I just used for running
This track has aged amazingly well and will undoubtedly continue to for many years to come! Even if porter is done with Virtual self I find myself thinking that this is his best ever track
*wait for me.*
why must we feel?
the love that will be extended through distance
a molecular telepresence.
*am i eternal?*
Love Nurture to death, but man porter had something special with VS. hope one day he makes a full length project similar.
maybe next year he will return to this project with the new IDs that he played in every show till now :')
Why is this song so addictive?! Love it!!
The more I question this the more I have to listen to it
Still can’t forget how dipplo and mark getting a Grammy with a song with 4 piano chords
The judge should be fired definitely
This is Masterpiece
Yess, this masterpiece should have won!
The Grammys are a joke anyways, porter deserves way better than them lol
Grammys don’t know shit about real masterpieces like this track right here!
@@Johnnykham_ Above & Beyond have been nominated for a Grammy twice now. They at least care a little.
this song gives me heavy chills... and transports me to 2000s
One of the best thing that has ever happened to the electronic music scene, like in forever
This song will forever be the song that blew up my sound system.
One of my favourites of all times. Best of the best. Epic. Legendary. Beyond the reality. Speechless.
Who else just keeps hitting replay over and over? Such an amazing track! 🔥🔥🔥
Me me me
A moment of silence for the people who still couldn't find this song to this day
Man i was finding GHOST SCARY VOICES to jumpscare my brother
Well its my job
May I ask why? Correct me if I'm wrong but do I understand it as you're implying this song was used somewhere?
I almost missed it
Share it with everyone this track and the video is amazing
I just found this song lol
tbh this is the 10th day I am listening to this on repeat. At home, in my car, at work. Nothing else but this. I can't understand why this track speaks to me so much. Even when not listening to it I have it in my head and can't wait to hear it again.
i feel 100% same
Hendrik Ratasep me too! I’m trying to figure out what kind of voodoo Porter put in this song. It’s just so perfect. Like, I wouldn’t change a thing.
Lol 2nd day ... going strong
5 years later still going strong
This whole album makes me nostalgic to the time I was a kid, having 12 hour long cartrips blasting electric techno music with my dad driving 160km/h on the german highway. What a time
Cant get over the early 2000s-esque deep trance interlude at 0:50. Gives me goosebumps everytime!
It's a bit more like Eurotrance, this interlude giving me "Ian Van Dahl - Castles in the Sky" vibes :)
@@AKA87BE wow…this fucking is spot on. Thank you for this! If you’ve got more, please send them!!
I've heard this mixed into sets n loved it, didn't know it was Porter.
Complete electrionic fan since 1998. This track has nostolgic feels because it has elements from many classics burned into my brain over the years.
Thanks for compiling and polishing the music and visuals! Love you Porter 😘
AF_1892 hey we like video game on tv
I finally watched Serial Experiments Lain and all I have to say is WOW! I can't believe I haven't watched it earlier. Such a good show. Highly recommend it to anyone even remotely interested in anime or cyberpunk stuff.
You should watch Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex
It's less focused on the internet's effects on humanity and more along the lines of cyborg/military punk, but it's at the same level of depth as SEL, with the added bonus of being far less dated-looking
been listening since 2018 and this song has been my #1 played song on soundcloud since than lol. and i listen to music for a solid 5+ hours of my day
