- In this video I give a full in depth tour of the 2011 Maybach 62 S, the half a million dollar hyperluxury limousine. Extended wheelbase version of the 57 sedan, boasts more power from it's 6.0L V12, updated styling and, unsurpassed luxury. I take viewers on a close look through the interior and exterior of this car while showing details, over viewing of features, and noting unique styling cues to the vehicle itself. I also show the engine and the details of it, start it up and see how it sounds under acceleration. A thorough tour/review of this car designed to give others a greater overall appreciation of the vehicle.

People call that it is too similar to a S class but still the partition and small touches like a million A.C. vents and sun shades makes it way better than a Phantom.
Yeah maybach aren't built to show off thats why i like them they dont bring a smile to the whole world only to you but those who do realize what it is compliment your taste
I saw a lot of things used in Mercedes but I do believe Mercedes is the parent company, the hint is the S550 MAYBACH.

this car is incredible..I'm still in awe of it even watching in 2019...it is a much more intricate car, compared to the rolls royce..n yes it definitely has class..n it is a different animal compared to the regular s class..it is longer, taller wider and it has its own unique interior..unlike the maybach's of today which basically is an s class with different trims..this maybach 62 has 2 brake calipers on each rotors..this car is above anything else on the market.

It doesnt mean it was bankrupt that it sucked. This car had literaly no rivals and It wasnt a well known car people, People want to turn heads when buying a 400-500 000 dollar car like Rolls Royce or Bentley. This car has a very discret look that you dont notice. If you look at the specs, this car beats both Rolls Royce and Bentley in ever category except for performance for the 2015 Mulsanne.
+bob roger You aren't supposed to look at performance specs on ultra luxury cars. No Maybach beats the build quality, exclusivity, and craftsmanship of a Rolls Royce or Bentley. Maybach didn't sell well because people felt like it's an overglorified S Class. Now Mercedes is repeating the same mistake.
raykrislianggi - AniMusic not as good quality or well built? Do you even know what kind of material they use and how much they spend to make the most simple parts? They are just as well built if not better than Bentley or Rolls Royce. The difference is, it has a lot more comfort features. The bentley have little declinable seats, where the Maybach can almost trnasform into beds. It has standard tables and champagne glasses made out of silver Bentley's are optional. The current S class Maybach is actually a little bit of a bargain but still very high quality.

What I do know is that Mercedes has not repeated the same mistake, since it's now an S600 Mercedes-Maybach. What they've done this time is make it a Mercedes model and priced it between an S63 and an S65. And it's a $200,000 car, which does not directly compete with Mercedes/Bentley's flagship models like the former Maybach did.
So please, enlighten us all with your vast wealth of knowledge about the repeated mistake that they made. Obviously there is some glaring omission of knowledge that leaves us plebeians in ignorance and you in an enlightened state.

I'm wondering, if it is possible to purchase the name and start manufacturing them again? Maybe a bigger company will buy them out and continue them? This time not making so many to where they will never sell them all...
OfficialEpic222 Mercedes owns Maybach btw. They're an extension executive branch of Mercedes-Benz. They didn't go out of business Mercedes just discontinued the Mercedes Maybach line. Mercedes is bringing back Maybach for the 2015 Extended wheel base S-class model.

Due to depreciation, you would be surprised on how cheap they get. The 57 has dropped about $200,000 from where it started. Still very expensive though.
Connor Pitisci The cheapest I've these 62 cars run for is 390k, and it was an '11, they depreciate slow, especially if they're well taken care of

This is such an amazing machine! So many fine touches. I find it funny though that it has the exact same infotainment system as the 2007 model. For that money I would want the newest system. That system can't even compare to a $25,000 dodge journey! Still an amazing car none the less!

Why did they discontinue this beautiful machine! They will now probably be all sold before i get enough money to afford one! Then i'll be stuck with the only two other options, Mercedes S-Class or Rolls Royce Phantom. Or, quite possibly a aftermarket luxury modified Suburban or Escalade!

Rick2010100 Who said anything about off-roading? And Escalades are extremely luxurious, look at the '15 Escalade. And for being driven around, i wouldn't want a Range Rover or G65 or some crap, i would want an extended Escalade CEO model, which has more options than a $550K Maybach.
OfficialEpic222 A Esalade is for cattle farmer, even a business partner from Dallas said, that he wants to change his ZR1 to a 911 Turbo after driving my 911 Turbo (Type 997 with chip tuning), because US Cars are made for US legal speeds. So i often travel with my E350 CDI (Diesel) at the 250 km/h limiter on the German Autobahn. Driving a SUV at this speed is suicidal - so the people drive here estates/hatchkack´s wich handle like sedans. I have/need a estate to transport my two dogs (Weimaraner), but for private pleasure i hav emy 911 Turbo.

it actually really pisses me off how expensive this car is and it's a 2011 and how many of the controls are taken straight from a standard mercedes. the panel on the bottom of the seat that controls the massage and lumbar has been on mercs since 2002, and it probably feels just as cheap on this one. no maybach owner should ever have to do something so tedious as to bend over or reach

NOFATCHICK1 New "Maybach" is just stretched Mercedes S class (which is also written in the model S600), couple of inches longer back seat space. New one doesn't have any customization options like this, no extra features and systems of this car, no wall, no communication system, nothing, cheaper materials used, literally everything is worse... That's why it's 2-3 times less expensive...
Petar Stankovic Wait a second, the Mercedes-Maybach S600 has a different interior only for the Maybach edition. The whole Maybach S Class is stuffed with the highest quality and best technology you can get nowadays. The Maybach 57 or 62 are just more exclusive, longer. Thats it.

WazzUppFLO No, interior is the same as normal S class with different stitching, same designio leather inside. No technology in that new Maybach that isn't in normal S class. It is just stretched S class. And yeah, you get nicer glasses in new Maybach than in S class. Maybach 57 and 62 are not just more exclusive, longer and that's it but they have infinite customization options, as I said communication system, wall between driver and back seat, more advanced security options, 24/7 customer support, option for ww antenas, you can order anything you like inside, literally they can build in idk.. PC computer. You can order anything you want, huge screen embedded into the roof that folds. Also materials uses inside are also in more options, from softness of leather to it's color that isn't available on new S Maybach. You can even chose gold for metal inside if you want, anything.
Petar Stankovic The interior is slightly different to the normal S class. The S Class has one of the best technology in car world. The Maybach 57 62 was a massive flop "infinite customization" isn't enough in this class. Mercedes Benz failed with project Maybach not like VW BMW. Maybach reminds me to Bugatti: Superlatives, Cool for kids but a big financial fail.
