- Although not entirely "all new" for 2011, the Rolls Royce ghost was introduced in 2010 as an all new model in the Rolls Royce lineup, the smaller sibling if you will to the phantom. It boasts it's own unique variation of styling, but doesn't fall short of borrowing some styling cues from the phantom. The Ghost also shares the BMW 7 series platform and contains a lot of the similar telemetrics interfaces as the 7 series making it quite easy to get the hang of if you're familiar with the systems. I take viewers on a close look through the interior and exterior of this car while showing details, over viewing of features, and noting unique styling cues to the vehicle itself. I also show the engine and the details of it, start it up and see how it sounds under acceleration. A thorough tour/review of this car designed to give others a greater overall appreciation of the vehicle.

Jonas Bickford yea my dad thought of getting the phantom but it isn’t a fun car to drive. The wraith isn’t very fun to sit in the back of. That’s why a lot people who can afford the phantom still go with the phantom still go with the ghost. It has that flexibility
That engine sounds magical at idle. You can almost hear each individual valve opening and closing.

They were primarily added to be useful for seeing around hedges, plebeians, and other obstructions on a tight intersection at a busy street, without the necessity of sticking the nose of the car into a potentially compromising position.

I feel like the Ghost is a better option when you plan on driving the car yourself compared to the Phantom. Wraith being the ultimate option of course.

The ghost surprisingly doesn't look that big in real life. I've seen it on the streets and although it's bigger than an S class or 7 series, it doesn't come off as intimidating as the phantom does.
Even the phantom drophead dwarfs the ghost.. and the sedan is huge. It's like you need a special license to drive it
You're 100% correct. There's a RR dealer a few miles from me and they have 2 Dropheads and a Ghost along with several CGT's and an Aventador in their upstairs showroom. The Ghost sedan looks almost like a regular car next to a Phantom Coupe (like a Mercedes S-class, just alittle shorter). Surprisingly, the Phantom is a bit more cozy on the inside than it appears, it has the intimate feel of a regular 2 door due to the plushness of the interior. LOL, after being around those you could literally trip over a Continental GT.
You nailed it, best tour of this car out there on the internet. I think I might buy one now, right after I switch my job at McDonalds from Chief Cash Register Assistant to Chief Executive Officer.

What an exhaust note. It sounds like you could put a nickel on the engine, rev it, and the nickel won't fall down. There are times when I want an 800 cubic inch pickup truck, or a Caterham with an RB26, but this just sounds great.
Even though this car shares the same platform with the 7-series, the Ghost is a million times better and the V12 was designed and built by Rolls Royce.
Hey dumbass, it's the SAME engine as the BMW 760, except the engine in the Ghost has 28 more horsepower and more liters- 6.6 to 6.0 in the 760. That is actually one of the biggest things in common with the BMW, the engine. Also, BMW owns Rolls Royce, so get your facts straight.
marc1093280 umm you do know that BMW OWNS Rolls Royce right?....So you are aware that BMW just makes a pimped out 7 series, puts it under the rolls royce brand, and charges 4 times higher than a regular 7 series right? You are paying 400 k (fully loaded) for a BMW 760 Pimp My Ride edition.

I know BMW owns Rolls Royce. However, the 7-series itself is a joke compared to any Rolls Royce. You get what you pay for basically. The 7-series is still a great car, though.

What I like most about this car is the metropolitan blue against the seashell white complimented by the wood color. It's utopic that color scheme.

My Nissan is a push button ignition as well as being able to lock and unlock the doors by pushing a button on the door handle. In fact, my Nissan shares a lot of features with this old Roller. My point is, you don't have to purchase an expensive Rolls Royce for the cool features. Many affordable car brands have awesome features now such as Nissan, Ford, etc. etc. and I love it.

I have never seen a Rolls Royce in Australia, but I saw my first Bentley the other day, it was a Bentley Continental GT. Amazing.

The rear view camera button isn't just for viewing the parking sensors, if you close the door I think you get a set of surrounding camera

@CruzoBolt I believe it's because of the way they swing open. You really can't see what's coming up behind you if you were to just open them and step out (vs regular hinged doors).
the Ghost is technically built on BMW 7 series chassis and platform using the V12 engine. it is a great car from any angle.

the 2013 ghost has a feature where if your hands are full of stuff that goes to the trunk, just have the smart key with you and wave your foot att the rear cam and the trunk opens up. rr did it again!

Color keyed seatbelts was an extra cost option on my dad's 1977 Oldsmobile, which he ordered. There was no way he was going to have black seatbelts in his custom ordered luxury car. My how times have changed! That much money & black seatbelts, stood out like a sore thumb to me!
I don't know why people say buying one of these is flaunting your money. If you have the money and a Rolls is what you like so be it. I know damn well if I had the money, I would probably have one of these too.

love this car. it just reaks BUSINESS. it even looks like a tuxedo.
Rolls still has that little quirk. The fuel fill door is top mounted. It begs for the last drops of fuel to drip on the exterior.
(Vintage Jaguars have the same problem.)
That can be eliminated by fueling the vehicle yourself;but, what Rolls owner wants to have the stench of petrol on their hands when they return to the magnificent interior of a Rolls?

@CruzoBolt They are called suicide doors because when they were first put into production cars, they had a dangerous tendency to fly open when the car was moving if they weren't closed properly. Combine this with cars from the 1930s-era, which had no seat belts, and one can imagine that people were probably sucked right out of the rear seats pretty often, too.
13 city and 12 hwy is probably more realistic with this monster of an engine lol!!!!

You are right but the only because Rolls Royce found it was easier to use the parts of their partner's BMW 7 series to help aid the design of a more driver friendly Rolls Royce Phantom which they called it the Ghost. I rather spend the extra 20 grand and a few more in options just to slide in the Ghost.
