Lenovo is honestly the only brand that I can trust when it comes to a budget gaming laptop; mostly because of its reliability, durability and cooling. I've had MSI budget laptops, HP Victus, Dell G15, ASUS TUFF laptops...but Lenovo is the only one that didn't give me any issues after the 1st year.
I don't think you should own a laptop. Maybe if you did your research and took the time to update drivers and BIOS regularly you wouldn't have any issues with any OEM.

Hello, I’m an architecture student that just got this laptop. I upgraded its CPU to an i7 with a 4060 8GB GPU to better handle Lumion through the website, but with only 16GB RAM. So far my workflow has been smooth from handling 3D views on Revit and then rendering on Lumion. Hope this helps.

Does it use the a similar charger port that came with the legion Y540? If it does, is the charger port soldered to the mother board? Asking because I had a Y540 and the charger port stopped working 2 years in. The port was soldered to the motherboard, so if it gets spoiled, lenovo charges for a motherboard replacement to fix it. Speaking from experience and fell free to google, it is a very common problem.

I recently bought one of these for GBP 999.00 it has an R7 7840HS, 16gb of RAM, RTX 4060 and a 1 TB hard drive. This is the only price point i could find the R7 7840HS last month when i bought it. All other laptops were at least 400 pounds more. The reviews were all saying it was cheap and plastic. I feel like they were all over exaggerating, it is plastic but its absolutely fine (and my last laptop had a metal case) All in all a very fast, very nice laptop and i think great value for the uk market

Lenovo's budget gaming laptops all have a flimsy screen for some reason. I don't like the plastic that they use for their tops, and their hinge design is poor and creates a lot of flex in the middle. The plastic itself is not very durable or thick, and is prone to cracking. This is a shame, because the bottom deck design has been excellent, especially the rubberized-feel material that they use for the palm rest. If Lenovo could get their stuff together and make their tops more rugged, they'd have a much better product.
