- What is the best ergonomic chair that you can buy for your home office? After months of using a cheap gaming chair for my work from home desk setup, I knew I needed to find an alternative option that would be beneficial for my back and also a good complement to my new jarvis standing desk. That is when I connected with Fully to try out their flagship Capisco Chair by HÅG. In this video I share what to look for in a quality desk chair, the Capisco chair's top features, and ultimately if the Capisco Chair is worth purchasing. As a nice alternative to the Herman Miller line, it might be worth considering, especially if you're like me who sometimes struggles with low back pain and soreness when sitting all day!

Been chair shopping and this is BY FAR the best review of this chair I've seen online. Really appreciate the attention to details, great B-roll, and honesty; this makes my purchasing decision way easier. Thanks so much and will def be checking out more of your channel!
I’m a hard to fit to office furniture person with pain issues and the Hag Capisco chair was a very fortunate last office chair for me for some time (one at home one at work for 12 years now) owned They’re still going strong despite near daily use all this time! I was researching replacement upholstery when I came across this.
These may be expensive but they’re worth it considering they may very well last a lifetime at this rate!
Such a good review man, thank you!
Great review :) Glad you enjoy our chairs!
Dude, you're great - keep at it!
Thanks for review, i was just sitting on this chair in a local show room, and its amazing. I will bought it as soon as possible
Thanks for the detailed review 👍🏼
Thank you for the honest review! Great video
Really good review video thanks :)
I sit on an inflatable athletic ball. It's lasted me 15 years now, through over 5 different moves, and it originally cost me $40. It forces good posture and active sitting throughout the day, and I've never had back problems. And when I'm bored I'll do sit-ups and backbends on it.
no backrest/headrest 😔
very helpful dude! and we use the same music for our videos, haha. Great channel
Would you say it's really a saddle chair? When looking at bambach or salli chair, this one doesn't really seem to promote mounting style sitting with legs at 45° (the surface seem rather flat). Do you agree?
I used this chair for more than 4 years and loved it. I moved to Mexico and for a while I have been using regular chaird but start having back pain. I remembered the Capisco but I cant find it in Mexico!!!
I really like my HÅG chair because I’m smaller and most ergo chair armrests are too far away from my arms/elbows, even if I adjust them. The backrest on this chair allows me to rest my elbows on it, which helps my posture (opens the chest, as opposed to shoulders slumping forward). I like the firm cushion and that I can put my feet on the little rest areas on the chair legs. But it’s not a chair for everybody - my husband greatly prefers his Herman Miller ergo chair.
excellent review, thanks Noah. Its that price that is the biggest downer. My Ikea wood chair recently gave way with me lying on the floor. Time to get serious.
Great video. Any suggestions on a stand up desk for a 49 inch monitor with monitor stand and a laptop?
To fix the wobbliness, take a hex nut tightener and tighten the nut under the seat that connects the seat and back attachment
Thanks for sharing Amit! Unfortunately I tried that but it’s with the knob in the back of the chair
Love the Håg Capisco 8107, the variability of positions available, lower cross back support and sturdiness combined gives an active chair that is not tiresome for the back.
With this chair you know if you are in a bad position, it does not support staying in that for too long.
Thanks for the review. I currently hate my chair... my stupid stupid chair. Also Geaux Saints ⚜️
how is this chair vs kneeling chairs compared for posture?
Colour choice looks good!
This chair comes in 3 different heights. Which do you have? Is this the standard (200mm) or the high (265mm)?
I have this at work and at home, but with a neck rest and flat seat instead of the saddle.
I opted for a flat seat because I like sitting on my foot, and the saddle seat is more restrictive in its purpose. Arm rests are great in the traditional position because they expand your chest while leaning back, with is healthy.
Foot ring is great for playing guitar or just elevating your feet while sitting in reverse.
Chair looks minimalistic and sleek at home, too. Not much bad I can say really, maybe the price and that it takes a couple of weeks to get used to.
Nice!!
Can you still sit on it backwords with the flat seat? and whered you get it?
@@ReedElizabeth2 Yeah works great reversed with the flat seat too. Just lower the neck rest (if it has one) all the way down.
I got it second hand locally.
Do you find it comfortable to play guitar on that chair? Thinking of getting one.
@@MattyPS Yeah 100% guitar friendly!
Great looking chair.
Thanks for the review ! I have bought an used one and the back support is a little loose, the arm rest wiggle and moves a bit in every direction. Is it the same for you ?
That’s a bit of what I’m struggling with still as mentioned in the video. Maybe a v2 will fix it
Really nice videos, watching them from Germany😂👍
Hi Noah, The sort of backrest is so annoying for the rocking sometime 😢it’s so expensive tho I expect it more perfect!
What seat height did you choose?
Came here from your Jarvis standing desk review and I'm not even looking to buy a chair but glad you got the partnership. I enjoyed watching your reviews!
I have this chair and I also have the rocking issue like you do
I’d love to get this chair! My desk chair right now is a metal folding chair😂!
Haha gotta do an upgrade to save your posture!
Dude! Such an awesome video! Love your vibe! I published my own video about this chair. Would love to read what you think about it.
Keep it up!! ,😇
Thank you 🙏🏾
I've actually have a Capisco, in combination with an electric adjustable desk. It's the best combo.
Agreed! The absolute best combo!
Noah I think the back is mounted with an alan key screw on the underside of the chair. Just tighten that and it shjould get better with the wobbles :) Good luck. Just got mine seconhand hand yesterday.
I’ll check it out, thanks!!
That’s not the problem. It’s the upper Polster part which causes the wobbliness
Hey Noah, do you have any pointers on caring for the leather?
Use leather conditioner. I use Obenauf Heavy Duty LP on my Brooks cycling saddle. I assume this would work great for the chair, as well.
How's the chair after some years?
What's the price?
Hi Noah, high guys, I bought this chair at the end of 2020 as it had been hghy recommended to me but honestly I have more back problems (especially lower back) and stil do not really get the added value out of it. Maybe my desk is too low - could ab provide me with some measures? it is too expensive not to be happy and I am a bit desperate...
A chair isnt going to fix issues that were already lurking. But it can sure bring them to the naurface. You can strengthen your lower back with Mackenzie exercises. Those saved me from sciatic pain, a bulging disc, and helped with movement.
Also leaning slightly forward will take any pressure if you're sitting in a military posture without realizing it.
Look at someone riding a horse English style. They don't roll their hips back, they aren't ramrod straight, they are just slightly leaning forward, shoulders over knees.
You can also hook up with a sports medicine orthopedist and ask them to check out your SI joints. These are joints of your hips right by your spine, and if you're like me and have some arthritis there, you're going to feel an ache at the end of the day no matter what chair you use.
I got some injections in those joints and I'm brand new.
The backrest wiggle is normal ours does that too
Yeah idk about this chair. But it looks nice i have to test it out before i buy it lol.
Definitely see if it works for you! You want to make sure whatever chair you use fits best for your body 👌🏾
may i know the footring is easy to install ?
it is very easy, it’s the only one I know that can be added without any tool nor disassembling chair
I got this chair in the leather version (~$1000) about two weeks ago and I just can't get comfortable in it. It doesn't feel like an extension of my body but more like the chair is rejecting my body. The seat is so firm, my hips and back hurt pretty quickly. Ill keep trying but disappointed so far because I haven't had any luck with traditional office chairs (pain). Figured I'd be the perfect candidate too having been a proponent of standing desks and healthier work set ups for a while now
Do you think it is the height? I have a simple sit/stand ikea stool (the leather one) and it hurts the heck out of the back of my tailbone after a while, but it may be the height and amount of weight going to that part of me. I was considering this with the smaller lift.
How are things with the chair now?
Updates?
Just a heads up, not sure why noone is talking about this but if you can, try the chair out before you buy. I'm a relatively healthy person and after just 2 days of using it I was getting sharp back paint, headaches and my butt was hurting. Returning it was a nightmare, support is terrible and even though it was causing me pain, they charged me well over $300 to return it. Something to keep in mind
Mine has the side to side wobble as well... Has anyone managed to figure out a fix to this!?
Unfortunately every chair has it:/ and there is no solution on how to fix it
I just bought one in excellent condition yesterday at my local flea market for $15.00! I originally bought it for my son but then after I researched the brand I decided to give him my $300 chair and kept the Hag for myself! Score!!
Wow and it was capisco too?
And is it worthy to invest a couple Dollars more for a new chair for your son?
Wow bargain.
I’ve had one for many years. Despite its length of time on the market they seem to refuse innovation of its design. It really needs a forward tilt (or better a full rocking mechanism) and a smaller bump on the front to make its “saddle mode” more comfortable.
Capisco is almost the same from 1985, it had one restyling and some minor fixing. Its design is not a matter of fashion: form follows function. I had the luck to see the plants and know the designer in person: you can't imagine all the effort, variants and tests spent on Håg chairs.
Suggesting changes to an ergonomic chair that lasts from almost 40 years may seem from naive to presumptuous, with all due respect (unless you are a top level ergonomist and designer).
A Capisco with forward tilt is simply another model, and it is named Creed, Sofi, Futu just to remain in the Håg range.
@@massimoserrao I appreciate your feedback. I will respectfully disagree. Any product, design or idea can be iterated on and I would argue should be. Iteration of a design does not make past effort worthless in contrast it only proves the products worth.
@@luvinfunvan this post is not about evolution of thinking, we are talking about Capisco chair. Since Capisco is an italian word meaning “understand”, we’ll make an extra effort to understand that a saddle chair and a tilting chair are different concepts, both aiming to a postural advantage, but different.
The designer who created Capisco was able to balance ergonomics, safety, ease of use, overall simplicity, flat packaging, easy assembling, aesthetic, industrial process, sustainability. Nobody can agree more than me about innovating, but changing an industrial product like Capisco is harder than making a new one. That’s why there is plenty of chairs you can choose to replace Capisco, but very few of them have been (or will be) produced for almost 40 years. I personally prefer other chairs, but there many other people who found Capisco the best one. In other words if you, Michael, can perfect Capisco, you are welcome. They can’t.
@@massimoserrao What is your favorite office chair? I would respect your opinion.
@@NeuroPulseThe chair that fits me better is Hag 05, currently replaced by Creed. Sofi is good as well. I can’t afford it, but I would really like to try Dr.Kunzler’s Limbic chair., it seems to be at another level
Little expensive rn, what are some alternatives?
They have a Capisco Puls, which is mostly exposed plastic, but the same idea of a chair.
Noah or anyone has a fix for the back wobbliness? I have the chair and like it but the wobbliness does annoy me quite a bit.
Yes, it’s so annoying for the wobbliness, I wanna know how to fix it too 😢
@@cedricyiu2004 I eventually returned it before the returning period ran out.
Assuming that the aluminium back support is correctly screwed, it is the cushion you are talking about. A minimal movement is normal, since the back needs room for height adjustment. If you believe it moves too much you can claim the Håg 10 years guarantee, asking for fixing or replacement. Just take a picture of the label under seat that identify your chair serial number and batch, then a clip of the moving back, send both to your seller.
@@massimoserrao As far as I can remember, it was not the cushion. However, I already returned it within 30 days (or 60). So, it doesn't matter to me anymore. Thank you for the response.
Good to know I am not the only one with a wobbly backrest, haha! 😂 But I love mine, got it used for 430€ with the nice Alcantara on it, do not regret it a bit!
The sort of backrest is so annoying for the rocking sometime 😢it’s so expensive tho I expect it more perfect!
In my opinion this chair look really good but it is crap. I´ve had two that were both left over from a school, wonder why. Hard to sit on and you never really sit in it the way the chair is designed to be sit in. The back rest comes loose and the foot of the chair is cold and sharp if you are wearing only socks, and really hard on your feet or other furniture. The chair itself is too high for normal tables and it costs twice as much as other office chairs. Spend the money on a better chair and an additional monitor instead.
When I first saw this chair (1995 on Star Trek Voyager) it was $1700. Twice as much. Now it's a thousand.
Wow that's a lot 😳
Has the price really gone up $150 since this review? Dang!
But no Lumbar support
Joe Rogan recommends these chairs, great review too
They are super comfortable!
Are you still using the chair?
Dude the leather edition is around 1500€ not 800…
Yo what's up Noah?! You won the giveaway on my channel and I just realized you have one of your own. Go ahead and DM me on instagram @gingeronwheels and we'll get you all sorted. Congrats!
Oh wow will do! Sorry for missing this!
Got mine for 250 def worth it at that price
where?
Wow agree where?? Haha
@@NoahCBanks was used on kaiyo got lucky
I am picking up mine with headrest for $350 in an hour. Its used, thats why its so cheap. New with a headrest costs like 1000 usd here in Norway.
90% recyclable. What % do normal chairs have 95% 85%?
Fun fact; this chair now costs $1,066! (2022) Two years, +$266..
Stupid prices.

Caution: I found Reddit posts that complain about pain from using this chair for year!!!
If you have affiliate links, they seem to be busted.
Super easy to send praise for a nearly $900 chair that you didn't have to pay for I bet to find one paid for review but it's not been favorable at the company not one not one
Gosh, this chair sells over 1400 US dollars in China
Wow that is expensive overseas!
In Singapore it's 2000USD in full leather with no foot ring! 🤑 but its super comfortable!
@@NoahCBanks Yep, I got the simply version with plastic back components, I love it
too expensive for a plastic chair
Common, $800 for a chair. A chair! A lot of milenials whatch those youtubers and think this is real life and buy those stupid waste then complain that cannot afford to buy a house.
