G'day TMF. Andy enjoyed this video very much. The roads you were riding on took me back to the early
60's when i was stationed at RAF Little Rissington the Central Flying School.Ahh those were the days
riding around the Cotswolds on my trusty Vello 350 Viper. A beautiful part of England.
Another magic vlog tmf..top gents..and you were lucky with the weather..great stuff..BTW I'd pay 12 quid for a burger and chips for that scenery..👍👍🍻
I enjoyed seeing your country and enjoyed the banter among friends! We here in Florida have a group called the Prowlers and we do RTE’s (ride to eats). Good to see you on the Wing. I have 106K on my ‘08 with absolutely no problems! I had to pass on my ‘17 Multistrada to my son after having a total knee replacement. To tall for this 76 year old . Great to you out and about again and always enjoy your test rides!
Cheers James!
Two fascinating polite gentlemen there Missenden Flyer what a treat to have them as friends.
And he didn’t mention Triumph once 😂
Actually I mentioned Dan was on a Triumph Tiger......
Well today on a depressing May Bank Holiday Monday, the wind is howling, the rain is falling. Watching this though brought a cheer to my heart!
Yes what a difference 2 weeks make eh?
@@TheMissendenFlyer Typical Blighty weather. Unpredictable.
Please make more videos like these in the future. I absolutely love it. It’s a chance from me to see the UK. I love it. What a beautiful place.
Carol and I visited there a couple of years ago on our channel. Pre Covid when you could go inside the decor is motor and motorcycle themed and really interesting. Was packed with high end cars when we went so guess they price to the clientèle
The sign on exit is because so many of the cars loved roaring off on exit that it upset locals and drew the attention of the police. Its a lovely run on the Fosse Way back north to Hinckley as well.
Nice trio of chaps, the sort of people I would be honored to share my motorcycling passion with.
Top job ! If ever a video showed what motorcycling is all about, then that was it. Friends, fun, food. Perfect.
love these biker scran episodes, the banter and exchange of views is enlightening and entertaining.
Great episode, nothing better than a time out with friends sharing the hobby!
Looked a great fun biking day out with pals. The Goldwing looks stunning, great bike.
It really is!
Very much enjoyed that ride along. Looking forward to more of the same. Cheers to Geoff, Dan and of course TMF. 👍🏼 😎 🇺🇸 🌎
Nice to see Jeff and Dan are fit and fine .. Normality feels a step closer watching a scran again .. Very enjoyable as usual ..
So glad you enjoyed it Graham - the next one should be a corker! Stay tuned....
The main benefit of CarPlay is being able to use Waze that gives you all speed traps.
Nice watching the video specially when the weather is bad here and can't get out.
Great video, I'm in the Navy and I was always taught scran stands for sultanas, currants, raisins and nuts. Which is what sailors of old kept in their pockets to snack on. Not sure if it is true but the tradition of using the term scran has definitely carried on. 👍
I’m liking that definition - let’s go with it...
Nice to get out and about again eh & good to see your mates in good health and cheer!
It certainly was Steve - good to hear from you again too!
Caffeine and Machine is my local hotspot, I really enjoyed watching them expand and become the place they are now. Unfortunately the Covid situation and weather has kept me away for too long. I’m looking forward to heading back when life is easier to “just turn up” like I always used to.
The best part of this place by far is when it’s heaving with exotic and unusual machinery, so I highly recommend aiming for a sunny day.
Sounds good - although a few have reported that you have to pay £5 to park your bike there at the weekend (which strikes me as outrageous!)....
@@TheMissendenFlyer well I can’t speak for these Covid times, but I know pre-Covid it was always free for bikes (even when it was heaving) and I believe the parking charge for cars at busy times could be used to claim a free non alcoholic drink. That’s the problem with this past year of all these government rules, it’s hard to compare now times to the normal times haha. Fingers crossed life returns to some semblance of normality in June as planned. 👍🏻
Loved this episode. The visit with your buds, the marvelous countryside ride with the upbeat music.
Good job Mr. Flyer !
Glad you enjoyed it Ray - thanks....
Fabulous video, racing ahead in left lane when the battery car accelerated was hilarious. Every biker I know does it. Mightn’t admit it but it kills us not to be first. Meeting the lads, leading about biking routes. Fair play Mr. Fly.
Great to see the Gold Wing sat in the sunshine, showing off that nice deep blue. Good upload TMF 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks 👍
Yes! Been waiting for the return of biker scran. Didn't disappoint. Nice to see the gents all back together.
Very good will be giving the caffeine and machine a visit 👍 Now onto your CarPlay shenanigans ! After buying the the new twin I saw our friend Richy V bypass the helmet connection which works great . So I started digging to do it on the Goldwing, and have found a fantastic fix . Amazon sell a Bluetooth link called “mpow Bluetooth 5.0 receiver “ I simply remove all Bluetooth connection from helmet and phone to the bike , connect the mpow to the bike via headset 1 , stick it in the trunk with double sided tape and put a usb splitter on usb in trunk (has to be a data and power double splitter) plug in to mpow and it works a treat .
Tricks the bike into thinking you have your helmet connected and the splitter in trunk keeps it charged forever 😀 . Because the mpow has 12 hr battery time you can also use your usb splitter to charge up anything else on journeys you may need 😇😌
Great to see you back out again, that Honda looks great! lets hope we can all start to get back our lives back soon
Amen to that Jason!
Ha ha fancy getting beat away at the traffic light Grand Prix. Look forward to the next installment with Jeff and Dan
Now, this is a sign of things getting back to normal. Great vid.
Truly enjoyable. 👍
Glad you enjoyed it! Next one is going to be a cracker!
So pleased to see this segment back on the channel. I hope there is more to come in the future too. 👍🏻👍🏻
Welcome back Geoff and Dan and of course TMF . Love your episodes of Bikers Scran even from down here in OZ it's special stuff !! Well done to all !!!
Thanks John - really pleased you like these!
TMF I look forward to all your content but Bikers Scran with Geoff and Dan is something special and unique . Especially to someone whom hasn't,t set foot into your part of the world !!
Nice trip, thanks for sharing Andy. Caffeine and Machine looks worth a visit - only 50 miles from Derby. I'll add that to the list for Kels & Me to visit. I'm with you on the Brioche bun - sweet and wholly inappropriate for a burger. That said, I did once cook a Choc chip brioche bread and butter pudding on a train for our crew - that worked though. That i3? I knew you were gonna have him - I'd have done exactly the same 😁👍
Yes, I’ll look at the salads........I think I’ll have the cheeseburger. Brilliant!! I laughed out loud with Geoff.
I often "look" at the salad. I remember once staying in a rather posh hotel in Bristol. Came down for breakfast, they'd prepared a fantastic spread of orange & grapefruit segments all peeled. There were other fruits too to make a fine fruit salad. I nodded to them in appreciation on my way to the full English buffet 😂
Always love a bike trip out with you and your mates , keep up the good work stay safe 😎👌🏍🇬🇧🏍
Thanks, you too!
What more can one ask for? Good sensible friends, nice weather and roads and a decent bit off scoff in nice surroundings. I entirely agree with you on those Brioch Buns...what an earth are they about? Give me a burger in a proper roll.
Glad we agree Mark!
I am glad that you are back on the road, Wing and all.
Looking forward to more road trips.
I did enjoy riding my friends GS1200 Beemer through Cornwall in 2018.
Cheers from Durban, South Africa.
I like the red Morgan in front of the Building.
Yes lovely those aren't they....lots of interesting stuff came and went as we sat there....
It's so nice to be able to ride with such good friends! As you were riding through Oxford I could just imagine Morse traveling those same roads in his classic Jaguar. What a great post!
@Michael Parkinson Nice job! Great series.
Cool!
Scran is also a slang term for food in the Merseyside area. Stands to reason with it being a nautical term.
Great video. I’ve spent a lot of time in this area over the last couple of weeks on and off road. Great roads, beautiful market towns and thankfully, great weather. Thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it Andrew - thanks for watching!
Another fine video with those two gentlemen, I'd imagine the outtakes would be classics.
I read only this morn about tpms light staying...apparantly what you do is release the air in both tyres to below 15psi...pump them back up to normal pressure...ride a mile or so and light will go off!!
I tried that...worked for about 3 minutes of riding
What a lovely day and in a lovely part of the world too! Can’t wait until my next venture South of Hadrian’s Wall. (Stafford in July!! 🏍)
That DCT Goldwing is really, really growing on me!!
Great video again. Many thanks!! 👍🏻
My pleasure Colin - thanks for watching....
Hi Andy. Great to see you riding with two buds on al lovely spring day. I’m envious, as in BC, non essential travel is not allowed. Good on you for knowing.WSC was born at Blenheim Palace. He is my favourite world Leader. I have read about 40 books either by or about him. Britain could use him now! Cheer
Have you read Boris’ book about him?
I have not. Is it a good book?
Excellent. Really enjoyed it. Thanks guys!!
Glad you enjoyed it!
"Could have warmed your fingers first..."
That got a good laugh.
That made me laugh too
yes Dan has an excellent line in subtle whit - I usually only spot them when I'm editing! (I cut all the really good ones out or I look bad)....
Great video,roads and grub,look good,great company as well.👍
Dan and Geoff, thanks for the ride. It was nice of you all to bring Andy along. :-) I took my first ride this weekend as well. Felt so good to get out on the bike.
Doesn't it just!
Great to get out with your mates after such a long time. Thanks for sharing.
My pleasure!
Excellent episode brother. Nice and relaxed format and good company.
Much appreciated!
Cheers TMF , I’m sitting here feeling sorry for myself having a chest infection and you’re out having a great ride on great roads, I’m looking forward to spring and summer riding, that has cheered me up 👍 the gold wing looks really comfortable sounds good as well.
It is and it does! Hope your chest infection clears up soon......
@@TheMissendenFlyer cheers Andy 👍
Great to see you chaps meeting up again .
Absolutely
I suspect that place falls into the same category as the Ace Cafe. At the end of the day it’s all about the ride and catching up with some mates, and that’s what matters 👍🏻
Exactly....nicer ride than the Ace though!
@@TheMissendenFlyer ....someone doesnt like picturesque vicinity of Wembley stadium? ;)
Nice v-log 😁.
Love to hear the smooth engine running with the DCT.
Love this series, coz your local to me it's great seeing all the familiar roads.
Glad you enjoyed it John - thanks for watching...
Some lovely things in the car park of C&M!
Great video, I love these! As gives me ideas for rides, your Honda looks and goes amazing!
Yes it's an amazing bit of kit - I love the thing for long journeys....
Great to get the background on the lads, and good to see you out on the mahoosive Wing.....Stratford is in my neck of the woods and I can highly recommend it as a great Sunday morning ride-to destination.....
Ought to be ashamed of yourself hurtling away from the lights like that , racing that electric car LOL. Cracking video.
😆
Thanks Andy and welcome back biker scran with Geoff and Dan. I always like to see what the Upworlders have to eat on a ride! :)
From Downunder Dave in Aussie. :)
Thanks for watching all the way under there Dave.....
Great video thanks
My wing too has the TPS warning light on but goes off after a couple of miles
Good to see some sensible riding as well
My CarPlay is poor screen all blurred
See you next time
John
Great to see you out with the guys.
Good to see my old stomping ground when I lived in Chipping Norton for a while. Not that I remember much as it was 1983. Good to see you blokes on your bikes again. Been blessed here so far in Western Australia with little COVID impact (touch wood) and managed 17000km’s of riding in the last year. Getting a bit chilly now though. Only 20 degrees C forecast for this weekend’s ride😛
Oi - less of that!! It’s been 8c here today and grim.
@@TheMissendenFlyer
Yeah that’s no fun but I’ll take your roads & destinations any day.
Well that cheered me up no end! Nice simple run out with the lads and a bit of a nosebag thrown in with luverly weather well done guys😎
Wish that weather would come back, chuffing freezing now!
@@TheMissendenFlyer likewise 🌧️
I’m thinking of a Thin Liszzy song.... The Boys are Back in Town!! Great to see you guys out!
Great song that!
Fantastic episode Andy and the lads, great to see the gold wing out for some fun. Brilliant
Glad you enjoyed it!
As always - love the content. So great you can finally get out and meet up with your mates.
Yes it's been a long time coming Rob - thanks for watching.....
Can't wait to get out with my mates. Looking forward to good times again soon. Just what I needed for a Monday morning
Great vid. Not sure why but I don't think I've watched one of these before. Very enjoyable & I'll look forward to the next one.
Glad you liked it RR - it's been a while since I filmed one thanks to COVID but there's a playlist of previous episodes here if you're interested in watching more >> ruclips.net/p/PL_719tkJvufas2IiLxEyP3tuFk1cV6Mup
@@TheMissendenFlyer Cheers. Will definitely be checking them out. : )
That was awesome. Thanks for sharing, hope we see more of this. :)
We will!
Nice ride and meet up TMF. I like that word "faff".
Brilliant. it certainly puts a smile on your face.
Enjoyed the ride, thanks guys! 👍🏼🍺
Our pleasure!
Great to be out' I love that area worked around the while covering the south. We still locked down in Asturias but my new 1250GSA should be delivered this week whoop.
Hey congratulations Mark!
Always enjoy these videos . What a terrific ride through beautiful countryside and characterful towns .I reckon the disgruntled local on the market square said "Move along ,only GS 1200's can stop here "
Yes you may be right Graham!
Great video, enjoyed the history.
Glad you enjoyed it
Great place I went there in 2019 in my Mazda Mx5 with the Mazda Mx5 owners club as celebrating 30 years of the Mx5 at the Gaydon motor museum I had to leave my bikes behind that day
Nice one!
What a great couple of guys. Good vid Andy 👍
Thanks 👍
Stratford to Woodstock is one of my favourite weekend rides.
A "cock horse" is a local strong horse they add to the stage coaches riding through, to help them get up a hill, literally adding extra horsepower. It is probably not a horse you would normally go on a long journeys on, hence why it's a key point in the song.
Fantastic!! Every day is a school day - thank you for that!
A tip : you can watch series at Flixzone. I've been using it for watching all kinds of movies lately.
@Terry Jefferson yea, been watching on Flixzone} for since november myself :)
Another great video on a great bike im looking forward to having my seat modified and gel fitting so I can get out on my st1100
Looks like a great day out, thwnkyou for sharing
Thank you for joining us!
I think this is the best thing you do, I guess I would like to have Geoff and Dan as my friends.
You need to come over here to the US and do a cross country trip. The GW would be a perfect choice! That bike is amazing!!
How brilliant would that be....maybe I should ship her over....
@@TheMissendenFlyer Don’t tease us! 🤣👍
.....I’d love to do it....
The ultimate touring series for your channel TMF, nice idea..
Count me in! 😎🏍
A long time ago I bought 40 or so heifers from Blenheim Palace, lovely place and cracking farm land.
Enjoyable video and the Goldwing is an awesome machine. Glad your all being let out in the UK....
...we just need to be able to stay away now....hopefully coming soon!
@@TheMissendenFlyer ...Indeed, I hope to get back this summer (from Thailand) hopefully things will be better! Take care
Always a great addition to the channel. I’m south Oxfordshire so easily replicated most of the time. This is definitely on the summer bucket list (didn’t think the prices were to bad for the location).
Well the location is good - and I'm sure it's a fab place inside - but the quality of the burger I had on this occasion I have to say wasn't worth the money (I way over marked it due my excitement of being let out again).....frankly a McD's would have been tastier. Still everywhere deserves a second chance - I'll defo be back despite that!
@@TheMissendenFlyer thanks for letting us know your honest review on the food.
I’m always slightly wary of ‘biker cafes’ due to premium prices. I tend to ignore the hype and go by reviews tbf. Obviously sometimes in AONB area’s it’s the only place so wouldn’t say it’s biker specific but rather tourist tax.
“Not proper bread!” You are a funny guy ;)
Well there you are. Some form of normal again. Great stuff!
couple of great mates there Andy, feel like we would all have great days out. ive friends from my earliest biking days, age 16(now 61) scattered round UK,but still in touch with each other, and we need a get together as soon as we can.made many friends thought the goldwing onwers club of great britain. had my 1st wing at 23....after a ban ,thought it may slow me down.;-) 2nd onae at 28 1100 aspencade, owned 16 odd years, travled all over europe with club. now have GS1150 OWNED 21 YEARS, AND A GL1500 1989 bought 3 three years ago with 8000 mileson clock. feel i have best of both biking worlds .
Nice one!
Great to see my local area on one of your videos! Some fantastic roads and quality cafes/pubs near Woodstock.
Checkout the Classic Motor Hub near Bibury for a coffee next time your in the Cotswolds, some lovely pieces of engineering there. The road on Fish Hill at Broadway Tower is another must! Love the channel 🤙🏼
Yes I've done Fish Hill a few times and the Classic Motor Hub is very much on the radar.....
Nice vid TMF, enjoyed the views and you certainly picked a good day for it.
Yes it was - I just hope that wasn't all of Summer!
I'm with you on the brioche bun
Noticed you took the back roads via Thame to Oxford, good choice! We do have some cracking roads around here, suitable for most of your bikes especially the Street triple. I do seem to remember you did the Woodstock loop a while back? I think food was involved then too! Looking forward to the next Biker scran!
Indeed I did and I've done it again since I filmed this!
2:55 "I'm not using Apple Car Play, I'm using the inbuilt native Honda Satnav at the moment" *sirens go off* , *long pause* ... brilliant 🤣
Reminds me of the in-built passenger communicator going "WOOAAAAAAAGH!!!".
So glad you are getting out. Maybe Micky D's next time :) The earlier Palace of Woodstock at Blenheim Palace was the spot Elizabeth I was held on house arrest and where she became head of state after Mary's death .. Amazingly beautiful grounds ..
Great ride. Really enjoyed the little history lessons, but I have to say Noraly's cooking show featuring an ostrich egg on bread, and the floor was far less expensive.
Great episode once again 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Thanks...
From Kerry, south west Ireland, visited Cafe & Machine last visit to the UK. There were a group of journalists test riding various Indian bikes there. Great videos...
Oh wow!
Yay! Biker Scran is back, one of my favourite mini-series. C&M looked cool (bet it's a bit pricey?). Glad the Wing is gradually getting sorted thank goodness it's still under warranty.
Thank you Bowlin01 - glad you like these!
Brilliant thanks for sharing
Excellent. I’ve booked a long weekend at the College farm B&B based upon your Wales weekend a while back. Fingers crossed I get the weather that it offered for you guys. 👍
Fabulous - do say hello to the owners from us, they are lovely people and the B&B is top notch.....
Woodstock..........not far from me at all!!......do a left on the A44 just north of the town onto the B4437 to Charlbury and it's just a 10 min ride from there - just wish I had a bike at the moment!!
Also used to live in Long Compton so know the Stratford area very well......next time you are in the area ride up the Fosse Way (B4455) from Halford......nice run...
Ride safe.
Steve
Cheers Steve - will try and remember that!
I do love a biker scran. Top work Mr Flyer.
Thanks 👍
Great to see some thing different, been a while a nice change
