This felt like the season finale. All those tanks you've poured so much effort into , to have them all up and running at one show is just incredible! thank you all so much for all your hard work, it really has paid off, what an incredible display!

So Ted is his own category. When Ted fills in a form where they ask him if he's A (Female), B (Male), or C (Other. Please specify). He just writes down "Ted".
Well that was 45 mins of pure joy. It transported me back to Germany in the 1980's and the soundtrack of my life there. Those L60's roaring away as the tank squadrons manoeuvred during the night. As a Sapper at that time bridges were our nightly task and, when completed we would await the arrival of the tanks as they emerged out of the darkness to cross the obstacle. Oooh matron...... May I salute all of those who made this show possible, the vehicle owners, the land owners, the organisers and all the support crews. Great effort all round. This show will definitely be on my social calendar for next year.
I was US Berlin Bde Feb 89- Dec 90 then Oct 92- Jun 94, I remember those urban block patern Chieftains in the June 17 1989 Allied Forces Day Parade, just a glimpse as we were marching as a Rifle Company.
@@adlerarmory8382 Your first tour there was almost exactly the same as mine - December 1989 to January 1991. I remember that Allied Forces Day Parade too - it was the last one, wasn't it?
Super stuff and you were incredibly laid back about the water in those final drives! My heart sank seeing that! Seen too many marine gearboxes after that. But the real let down is that less than one in ten of the people viewing this five star entertainment can't lift a finger to give it a like. You guys deserve better👍
it was a fantastic weekend - came on Friday, intending to stay 24 hrs - remained until close of play Sunday :). Watching the tanks doing ‘their stuff’ over the obstacles was a real highlight (especially the noise) and seeing Adam filling a ditch with water to add some ‘interest’ to the Foden and Merc obstacle course was such a laugh. I was very impressed with the driving skills on show - but I am easily impressed with big machines lol. One special moment was when my spaniel met Ted - I suspect that my spaniel did not realise he was meeting ‘the project manager’ of Mr Hewes enterprises!
one of the best, if not the best tank videos Ive watched and Ive watched lots! wow the sound of those L60s going over the mounds woohooo... great channel :)
Absolutely awesome!!! I'm an old M60A1/A3 & early Abrams guy, but the Chieftain has always been one of my favorites. Unfortunately I've not seen one in service, only Bundeswehr Leo's, etc. Hopefully I can time a trip to the UK to catch oneof these events. Again great content, love watching all the restoration work. One last thing, had no idea the Chieftain was that loud, love it though!
Well done to all of you hard working people. You and the boss Ted did it! I'm a UK Veteran from the 60's and being a mechanic, worked on all sorts of vehicles including the Alvis Saracens. lovely to see. my dad done the trails on the very first 2 chieftains , due to commitments with the tank regiments at the time they used the band members to rag them around and fire the guns lol. remember my dad saying as a kid . barrels went in the dirt plenty times , stop tank. get the big pull through out , lol.
The pure sound of the L60s. Miss those harmonics. Miss the good times. So great to see you all having so much fun with them. Jealous? Me? Absolutely!!!😂😂
I love seeing all the work you guys put into these tanks paying off and having a blast in them. Its so cool seeing all these unique vehicles and the amount of love put into them. Also those Cheiftans are just built different with so much water in the final drive of concrete, the rusty gear selector of Golden eye and still kickin. Hopefully you can get the 2nd gear of concrete sorted.
Great work getting them all running for the show. That M3 was my favorite, since it must have been a real pain to. Get it back together. Thanks for this and all of your videos!
This struck me while watching this and something I'd like to see: The Mog Hunt: 1 enclosed arena, 6 Chieftains vs 1 UniMog. Chieftains are equipped with paintball gunners, UniMog equipped with f* all, just needs to keep from getting paintballed. Make it happen please! Thanks for all the great content!
Congrats on getting no less than 6 Chiefies to the show. Given the parlous state of half them, you guys (plus Jack's mum and Ted) have done an outstanding job. As an ex-Berlin Brigade Sapper I still have a soft spot for the Urban Camo Chieftan - definitely the coolest looking Chieftain.
Well my thought is that if the armchair generals and mechanics don't like it let them restore and operate a Chieftain or any other MBT that has been abandoned for 20 years. But they never will. Got to say though that any infantry baddies hearing 6 x L60 engines roaring towards them and seeing Chieftain guns pointing their way must have seriously not wanted to be there. Great show everyone well done.
Great to watch, especially the unsung heroes of the recovery vehicles. For the armour modellers out there, you could do a close up walk round. To show where the mud and dirt collects, before you clean it all off.
Thanks Ted.
Hell yeah Ted!

That's the best video yet 😂
Awesome seeing the Tanks in action.
The pure sound of the L60s. Miss those harmonics. Miss the good times. So great to see you all having so much fun with them. Jealous? Me? Absolutely!!!😂😂
Love the sound of those opposed piston engines
Awesome sounding engines! That scammell is really neat as well, though it could use some diff locks 😂. One of these days I hope to make it to the uk!
Apart from the L60 noise the other major thing is the ground shaking with that many chiefies on the move - had a huge amount of flashbacks
Brilliant. Thanks for all your effort.
What an absolute STELLAR PERFORMANCE !!
Just a delight to watch. And wise words. Thankyou for sharing this experience with us.
The chieftains exhaust note sounds amazing........awesome video guys.
Some amazing sounds from the engines. They all looked amazing too. Well done!
Really awesome to see those tanks still running😊
Ex 7 Regiment, the whole show exceeded my already high expectations.
Great to watch, especially the unsung heroes of the recovery vehicles. For the armour modellers out there, you could do a close up walk round. To show where the mud and dirt collects, before you clean it all off.
