I’m just seeing this video and have always wanted to go to Thailand. My wife just recently passed away and maybe sometime next year I would like to stay at a nice place for a month. For a mental health break.
It all *looks* nice but in the end the fancy looking rooms are just cramped and the furniture sucks. Id take a cheap old beat up studio apartment with actual comfortable furniture any day. Same thing with the pool, looks very nice for sitting around and taking selfies, but if I wanna swim for exercise? The newer and fancier the condo, the worse the functionality and tinier the rooms. If I was to live there with my GF we would both go insane.
I was in pattaya one month ago - my hotel was 15 min walk from beach and hotel had a pool on roof at 8 floors up - the pool was one of the best parts of my holiday - i swam in it usually twice a day - the pool at the start of this video def makes me want to stay in this hotel - that view is like from an aeroplane taking off!
I stayed at the Riveria and I must say the view from the 37th floor pool was breathtaking. I enjoy staying here. It was only a 30 min ride on the 10 baht bus to Soi Buakhoa area and to center of pattaya. The area is quiet and peaceful. I spoke with many expats and they share that the electricity is very expensive for the condo. thanks for sharing.

It all looks nice but if your not close to the Baht Bus route, things are a long walk in this heat. Simple things like groceries will keep you in shape with all the walking. Bolt would work, but location is everything.
Its close enough to the baht bus route (about 400m to Jomtien Beach Rd) but the shortest route is an alley where lots of stray soi dogs roam about, day and night.
I own a one bed 34sqm condo at Riviera Wongamat. It was built by a major building contractor from Bangkok who i worked for at one time. The construction quality is very good indeed by local standards and, other than during covid, is always rented out at THB 15,000 month. Its been a good investment so far and current sale prices are 25% above what i paid the developer.
While the building overall was impressive (great balanced review by the way) I found the rooms a little disappointing, nice and clean and good quality fixtures and fittings but the room itself looked rather cramp. Being very picky but I just feel for a stay anything long than a few weeks I would definitely like a bit more space.
I tried to negotiate a deal on a condo at the Edge and/or The Base with Jerry his communication was awful, struggling to get a straight answer from him about anything and everything along with receiving messages for other people at random times, he is so disorganised from my experience - after 3 days I gave up and went elsewhere....maybe feed this back to him Daz,I ended up having to block him.
if you don't mind me asking... were you looking for a shot term rental? I am looking for a beachfront 1-bed monthly rental in Wongamat or Pratnumak areas. Did you find an agent better than Jerry?
To be honest, the only reason I watched this video was because I walked by this place so many times when it was being built - however, these were walks for exercise, not trying to get home from the bars at stupid o'clock; fancy place indeed and would no doubt impress female company but all the gardens, pools, etc. are superfluous to an old night prowler like me. I'd also get claustrophobic living in that tiny condo - the smallest condo I ever rented was 37 sq m and that was just enough, I prefer over 40 and as I don't drive anything in Pattaya, I need to be on a regular baht bus route so I think I'll stick to Thappraya/Beach Rd. I have to admit that the prices aren't bad, though, if you do want all of the fancy communal features.
You need transport to stay here. It's not on a Baht Bus Route and even if you walk though to Beach Road a lot of Baht Drivers turn around before they get to the Riviera because of lack of customers. Best thing is to use Taxis - expensive though !

Down the street. Metro Jomtien condo. Basically on the water. Great views. Building a little older but everything works. Great people in the front office. I like it so I bought a studio for 2.2 mb.

Nice video as usual Daz but unfortunately I had to close my eyes through half of it because I can't stand heights 😂 Great building but the first condo was a let down due to the layout of the lounge but I guess if you are always out it's not a problem but second one was better.
The first room the Refer needs to be placed to the right of the counter... and put a small medium tall prep table in its place in order to make the kitchen layout work..... very cramped feeling...... The Second room seemed the same and laid the components out much better..... The Riviera itself is really a nicely designed property and gives you a sense of place... I imagine if you go down to lower levels the price per month is more attractive...?
What an Amazon tour ;) Really nice property, especially long term. Getting an extended visa for 1 year very problematic, but even still with 60 day visa this is a good home base at those rates.
@@EdwardAmesCastellano yes. The thai visas and funding or monthly deposits have gotten to be a pain. No income letter from embassy stopped me from retiring there two years ago. I retire and want simpler things,not more complexities, insurance extra, etc.
but the 60 day visa can be extended another 30 day quite easily. This is what I will be doing exactly two times a year as soon as they stop this nutty COVID stuff

Cetus is way better, Jomtien beach front and uninterrupted views, 2 pools, garden areas and excellent gym and on the baht bus route Riviera is out of the way and a longer walk to the beach front, that’s why me and the missus didn’t even consider it when we stayed in Jomtien 19:50 you said this one doesn’t have a jacuzzi literally as you walked past the jacuzzi 🤣🤣
Beautiful grounds, i hope the plants and inside are real. The problem i see with the unit is that you can't really relax with someone as there is no space.
I could very easily enjoy the amenities of this place, and only leave for entertainment purposes, groceries and evening entertainment. Would just need to arrange a prompt taxi service and I'd be all set!

You are correct this is the highest pool in Pattaya at present, but not for long. Come June 2022 a higher one is going to be coming up in Central Pattaya at 46 stories, the condo will have 2 infinity pools one on the 31st floor and an another rooftop one on the 46th floor, can you beat that?
Fine place, beautiful. There's a minus though, that you didn't mention - the location is quite far away from the central township (and the action) of Pattaya. Everu day & every night you will have to take a song thaew or taxi to town.
Very good value but surely Copacabana is better? Also I think the pool is on 59th floor at the Copacabana. Obviously the price is about 30 or 40% more 😅

I agree with David. The height of the condo is something you have to get used to.

Well its almost January, and the finishing touches are being completed for final Inspection at the Arcadia Millennium in Central Pattaya.

This condo is really intended for a " Non Party Animal " and being away from the crazy noisy town centre is a plus for many people, not a minus.

We will have to check this out in April. Debating whether or not to rent it for the entire month of April if the price is good.
If you only had 2 weeks holiday you could book that place for a month and leave it empty for 2 weeks still cheap .

Looks good but if I was going to stay that far from central pattaya I would much prefer one of those condos in wongamat with beach access.
