I'm already subscribed, you got me started on the Titanic! I'm building that along with the Enterprise refit. Just got to finish wiring the circuit board and she'll be done.
I have a friend that bought the first 25 stages or so of the Eaglemoss collection from somebody else and Agora is going to let him pick up from where he left off to complete it which is amazing! I'm so happy for him!
Just to add to your technical vocabulary Wayne, for chromed plastic pieces if you say “Vacuum Metalized” it’ll gain you Kudos points with the boys over the pond. It’s raining today, but as usual your daily video (me car man) is a lovely, cosy mornings watch. Love ya Wayne!!!
for the screws, rather than a lubricant, I'd be tempted to use say Permatex orange - holds like red, moves like blue - to give some lubrication during assembly and then slightly harden, to prevent loosening under thermal changes or handling.
Looks good Wayne but I am waiting for the 007 series. I already have the old Eaglemoss DB5. Always gets me that you have the bonnet in the first pack that never seems to be fitted until the final stage, in my case 2 years later, along with so many tiny parts.
That fuel pump as u said, i think thats an early mechanical fuel injector, i watched a repeat of Wheeler Dealers which they had a BMW 2002tii and that had a similar fuel pump, and i believe was called a kugelfisher(?) which use a camshaft to dispense fuel into the cylinders.
WD40 is quite aggressive and could corrode some type of plastics, I would suggest hair clipper oil instead: it's light, it doesn't smell, it doesn't stain and it doesn't corrode anything.
In the photo the headlights look blue in colour. So they must be using a wrong colour temperature LED, the real lights would be almost a yellow colour.
Absolutely love this car. Such an iconic beauty. You know I’ll be following your build. So the $10,000 question. Is this the Eaglemoss kit re released or is it a completely new kit? The reason I ask is, the ad for the kit on the Agora site says that if you didn’t get all the parts from Eaglemoss that the Agora parts will fit so you can complete your kit. Cheers, have a great day
@RWHobbies - I have both the 427 SC and just got the W196R. The engine alone in the W196R is infinitely more detailed than the Cobra's 427. Both are great models, but the W196R wins the high detail award hands down!
Hi Wayne I thought that you said that you wornt going to building the 300 Sl because did,my have time because of all of the other builds that you had to finish aswell.
Personally, I would prefer these builds not to start off with any body parts. Hood, doors etc. Keeping them pristine until needed is a pain. I love the fact that the working henge for the Steering Wheel is preinstalled. Those tiny hinges can be tricky, especially if they are push-twist in, like the Cobra. Mine broke and I had to Jury-rigg a fix.
I knew it when i asked you on Wednesday...you had said it was Tuesday... Gee...all this time because of you i thought i had an extra day this week... Now it gone again...lolol 🤣🤣🤣🤣 So on this Agora Models build they give you only a poster with the first build... But you'll have too go on line for the magazine instructions...? Is it the same for the Corvette build...? Best regards mate...
yes sure - everyone hate on me - but seriously - the amount of plastic and cardboard waste that would go into the packaging of this thing is astronomically crazy shit. Gobsmacked.
Here you did with front bonnet is wrong!. So the support rod must go through holes of bonnet end of the edge (both sides). There only four holes(total). That you did not look at instruction (Picture) Fig 01!!!!

As I was watching your build of the first box for the 300SL my first box arrived. It was almost as good as Christmas!!!
Thanks!
Thank you Shane. How are things down under ?

This is going to be an excellent build of a highly desirable car Wayne ...I am looking forward to the rest of the series, cheers!

This has been my dream car since I was a teenager

Another nice build under way Wayne .. it looks like it’s going to be a lovely model .. will look forward to seeing you build pack 2 in due course.
Great new build 👍👍💞
nice video Wayne, got pack one of the 300 sl for free completing the Porsche 917kh.
Very nice
Thats a new cool blockbuster sign

Good to hear from you again Wayne how have you been?
All good :D
Beautiful car, a true must have, when it comes to oil I'm just using good old WD - 40 👍

A true classic 👍👍.

Will go well with the W196. I think Stirling owned one of these as well
So mine Instrument Panel(stage 3) something is missing like 4 of 5 small like Speedometer and rev counter. The Agora will send one new.
Looking good Wayne 👍👍
Hi. Can you contact to Agora that Download instruction of Gullwing for 2 Pack is damaged in website?
They should’ve given you the option of the knockoff Rudge wheels that came as an option on the 300SL. Maybe Mike Lane can come up with a Mod for them.

It’s the old Eaglemoss proposition
I still think the Cobra was the best detailed Agora model.

Looks like a nice build but seriously £1400 where do they get their pricing from

Dry the tyre and put the rim in, not wet tyre.
It’s not a perfect seal. It will dry
@@WorldofWayneUK but inside of tyre left water. Will not dry, will dry only outside tyre.
@@sasha85ful you will be surprised. As long as excess water has been shaken out it will dry
The 300 SL, the only Mercedes ever made that I think looks nice. All other Mercedes just look hideously boring to me but not the 300 SL.
