I know a person who actually suffers from arachnophobia and she literally cries at the sight of a spider and has panic attacks. Anyway, I just wish people didn't use these terms so lightly...
Anyone got any tips on dealing with combo, acne prone but dehydrated sensitive skin? my skins been feeling super grainy/textured to the touch and tight recently. Was wondering if Susan has a video on dehydrated skin
Georgia Brown I have that exact same skin type, plus being super prone to hyperpigmentation. It’s been such a struggle through the years but I’ve finally found a routine that works really well for me and keeps my skin hydrated and smooth and lightens my dark spots more everyday!! Here’s what I use: Cerave hydrating cleanser (pm only) The ordinary niacinimide/zinc (am/pm) (this has COMPLETELY CHANGED my skin, not even lying) The ordinary alpha arbutin (pm) Cerave moisturizing lotion or ordinary moisturizer in the am Cerave moisturizing cream in pm Ordinary rosehip oil (only a little!) I also use sun bum sunscreen every day and the ordinary aha/Bha peeling solution once or twice a week. I’m genuinely seeing so many positive results with this routine and I feel like it’s all I need for my dry acne prone skin! Hope it helps
Just LOVE your videos ❤️ They have not only kept me entertained through the lockdown, but kept me sane and beautiful Thank you for all you do, you are absolutely gorgeous!
Her message about self love and care was beautifully said 💋 It definitely has improved my confidence, skin and has helped me become more aware of my habits in life ❤️
Her eyes look so irritated... what’s the point of even using the wipes...? I also can’t deal with people letting products dry for a long time in between, makes me cringe. I made my mom quit doing that lol...And You gotta do Camilla McConaughey! Trust me 💁♀️
I have really dry skin and my derm told me that you can compromise your skin barrier by double cleansing. When I went down to a single cleanse (single product but still spending a couple of minutes massaging it in and making sure to rinse properly) my skin improved DRAMATICALLY. No more break outs, no more flaky patches. It made my skin so so much better.

Thank you for that! Have you ever considered doing a series of these with your viewers? A variety of ages (I'm in my mid 50's and most of the subjects of these videos are much younger), skin types, skin issues (I struggle with redness due to inflammation from rheumatoid arthritis), a mixture of lower cost and higher end products, etc. Might be really interesting.

PS The Tata Harper Creme Riche product Dove commented on LOVING the scent of- it's not added fragrance. Tata Harper products have natural fragrance from the components in her formulations. It's by far my go-to skincare line, so had to set that straight REAL QUICK :)
There is actually a ton of added fragrance in that product. The list includes: Citral, Citronellol, Eugenol, Limonene, Linalool, Geraniol, Aroma, Lavender extract. All of those are fragrances and well known irritants. Not to mention that it has a freakishly long ingredient list which in and of itself can cause irritation. Just letting you know so you don't keep using it if you are trying to be fragrance free. If not then you can keep using it!
Okay, I haven't seen the video yet, but who else thinks Susan looks better than EVER before today???? That top! The colour! The makeup! The glow! The HAIR! I'm dead.
On the vitamin e oil thing..my doctor told me to get the oil capsules to use on my little laparoscopic incisions to help them heal and not scar as much and it helped smooth them. I’ve also totally used it on my face to help with any rough acne when I was weak and popped and such. I definitely noticed a difference. It helps your skin to heal. I’ve never used it over my whole face though.
I think hyaluronic acid serums are so redundant when HA is in everything already. Just use a hydrating moisturizer, or a treatment serum. Pretty much everything already has humectants like glycerin, AHAs, honey, and plant extracts that will give you all the hydration you need.
Not for me. My skin if massively dehydrated because I have a chronic gastrointestinal problem (I'll spare you the details but let's just say most of the water I drink goes straight to my GI tract so my skin is dry). Hydrating moisturizers are not enough for me, and I'd bet its the same for some other people. We need a higher amount than other people. But congrats on having skin that isn't dehydrated, I'm jealous.
@@pippetandpossum You should really look into K-Beauty (Korean Beauty) and specifically *HYDRATING TONERS* (usually hyaluronic acid based) and the *7-Skins Method*. Adds major, major hydration to the skin, and then it's so important to lock in that hydration with an occlusive (as rich as your skin can handle or likes) moisturizer (Long-time aesthetician here)
@@wendigo1919 Yep, I use a hydrating toner. And I've been into K beauty and skincare since I visited Korea in 2016. The 7 skin method doesn't work for me long term, it's a quick fix for a few days when I'm especially dry. And I use Vaseline which is pretty much as occlusive as you can get.
Pippetandpossum, I’m sorry that you have that problem. I really meant it was redundant for people with normal skin. If your skin is dehydrated because of health problems then do everything that works to get that under control. Try Innisfree’s firming soybean essence. It’s like $39 for a big bottle, which sounds like a lot but it’s like a serum. It has fermented soybean extract which is veeeerrrry hydrating. It’s too much for me cause I have oily skin but its viscous hydrating texture is perfect for dry skin. If that’s out of your price range, try Hada Labo’s premium hydrating lotion. It’s a viscous clear liquid with many different types of HA. It’s like $12 for a HUGE bottle. It’s redundant for people like me. My problem is that people who don’t need it think that they do, so they end up not even knowing which skincare items are the most important for them. If you have a need for a product, definitely use it.

Under-eye skin is some of the thinnest, most delicate skin on your body. It’s just this way naturally. Yes Genes has a major effect but also lack of sleep, ageing, sun damage, and RUBBING can all contribute to this area getting thinner with time, and as the blood vessels here is closer to the surface because the skin is thin, it will make your eye area look darker, aka dark circles.
When it comes to removing our eye makeup, the best way to do is by soaking cotton wall with a makeup remover (oil best), then you place it over your lids, hold it for like a 10-15 seconds to dissolve the product, and then slowly wipe away. Voila!
Chidem x
you look so beautiful in purple and your makeup is seriously flawless!! you can tell you take such great care of your skin 😍
I agree with you Susan, it is already Niacinamide... It started with Hyaluronic Acid, then Vitamin C next Niacinamide
PSA: the Shu Uemura cleansing oil Dove uses (as well as all their cleansing oils) al have isopropyl myristate which is about as comedogenic of an ingredient as you can get! Most people break out from this ingredient
several local products came out with the niacinamide 10% serum so that might be true this year trend
The color of that top *really* is so stunning on you! Always looking like a goddamn goddess lol 🥰🖤
Oh No Dove trash those wipes and get a proper 2nd cleanser for that adorable face pleeeaasseee 💙
Never heard of Dove but she seems like a sweetheart.
Susan I love your top and your hair here! Looking delightfully soft and feminine in quarantine
rhythmandblues alibi big Disney star. Was also in the 3 Descendants movies and is a singer. My niece loves her. Super talented girl. She’s 25 so she’s doing a pretty good job with her skin care. I didn’t at that age
@@allycat91974 She's also done some musical theatre stuff, she was Sophie in Mamma Mia at the Hollywood Bowl, I'm sure there's clips of her performance here on RUclips if your niece is interested and hasn't already seen it :)
@@allycat91974 haha yeah me neither 😖😅😅
I agree with the niacinamide and funnily enough, I just wrote an article about niacinamide growing in popularity for my magazine
This is such a good look for Susan, the wavy hair with the dusty rose pink. So pretty :)
Susan you are such a joy! I love it when your personality shines through.
I appreciated her mentioning Aesthetician reviews cause it was so relatable in the way of like... she's learning and trying her best and cares for her skin but acknowledges she doesn't know everything. My sister and I since watching Hiram and Susan are always like "what would Susan say" lol.
lizzy 🤣🤣
@@SusanYara Omg not to seem like a total fangirl but I can't believe you even saw my comment !! My sister are I have been bingeing all of your videos trying to get better with skin care(as we're in our 20s and 30s respectively) and we reference your videos daily lol. Sometimes we watch and take actual notes it's so nerdy. "what would Susan say" has become out catch phrase haha.
Just have to comment on the toothbrush comment lol. As a dentist, I HATE the quip. The vibrations don’t do anything, unlike the Sonicare which gives you such a good clean. TEAM SONICARE SUSAN!!
YES TOMMY! I'm going to tell Carly you said this. haha
Susan Yara haha, love it! hopefully she listens. Keeping your teeth > a cute toothbrush lol
This color is beautiful on you Susan! :)
"It was going so well!" 🤣🤣🤣
We were rooting for you! We were ALL rooting for you!
Estheticians are trained in makeup as well when they go through schooling.
It's funny, I don't think many know that.. and also massage (though not RMT's) among other things.
She called herself a germaphobe but goes in the moisturizer with her fingers and the oil dispenser things touched her skin 😷
A germaphobe would never stick their fingers in a pot of moisturizer. Actually, a germaphobe wouldn't buy a pot moisturizer! lol
And she had her rings on for the whole time. 😫
Right? Maybe she is really germaphobic, idk, but I know for sure that most people use these terms wrong. A clean person and a person with germaphonia are totally different. Same thing with other types of phobia. Like, for example, so many people say they have arachnophobia but they are literally just afraid of spiders like MOST PEOPLE DO.
Here’s what I use:
Cerave hydrating cleanser (pm only)
The ordinary niacinimide/zinc (am/pm) (this has COMPLETELY CHANGED my skin, not even lying)
The ordinary alpha arbutin (pm)
Cerave moisturizing lotion or ordinary moisturizer in the am
Cerave moisturizing cream in pm
Ordinary rosehip oil (only a little!)
I also use sun bum sunscreen every day and the ordinary aha/Bha peeling solution once or twice a week. I’m genuinely seeing so many positive results with this routine and I feel like it’s all I need for my dry acne prone skin! Hope it helps
“Calm down Susan!”
I’m dead 😆😆😆😆
I've been a HUGE Niacinamide fan for the past three years. Completely changed my skin.
Just LOVE your videos ❤️
They have not only kept me entertained through the lockdown, but kept me sane and beautiful
Thank you for all you do, you are absolutely gorgeous!
Trust me 💁♀️
Mirina XO I agree!! You can experience water loss and dehydration by letting products dry for a long time in between
She’s gorgeous! The Mario Badescu glycolic cleanser is decent! It’s strong-I get the travel sized because it’s expensive for a face cleanser.
So unfair that she doesn’t do a second cleanse and doesn’t have breakouts....
I know, I have a friend who uses those Neutrogena makeup wipes and NOTHING else and has perfect skin 😭
I saw dove in a restaurant and she is so pretty in person and her skin was flawless
I enjoy watching your reaction videos in particular, because you give a lot of information on product categories in general and products in particular while being really sweet instead of snarky and shady.
As a dove cameron fan i am so happy you did this review and are not the most upset at her routine!!! i love this video and all your other videos

@kuma that ocd comment annoyed me cuz i actually have it and IT IS HELL

Yeeeeeaaahhh.
@@auroradera2862 my sister has it and fucking being a germaphobe has nothing to do with it most of the time. The utter misunderstanding of most Americans really makes me angry
@@electricmouse5985 ikr its much more mental than that. Ugh its so hard to explain but i wish i could turn my brain off. Its so hard :(
Susan!!!! You are on it!!! I watch the Liza video, next day your reaction video is up. Then I watch Doves video, next day your reaction video is up. LOVE IT. Thank you and have a wonderful day. ❤️
I've been waiting for this video for so long(2 days), it's here finally
I love Susan’s reaction to Dove! I think they’re both so adorable and they have the similar vibes in that way! So cute
That honest straight from the soul Faaaaaack! 💛
I freaking love how much more sassy Quarantine Susan is. Its hilariously awesome. No holds barred!
Me before Dove toke her eye make up like if Susan could hear me: Give it a second Susan... give it a second....
You knew! haha
I'm using niacinamide for years now. I love it.
She is just so pretty and down to earth, so we'll spoken and open about her mental health struggles... A real role model!
The massage the esthetician mentioned is called tapotement. The most stimulating form of massage. It can be used for product penetration.
‘Fffaaaaahhhhhkkk’ lmao Susan. Should make that into a shirt
Susan isn’t a Dermatologist but I believe her more when she nice and not bashing peoples skincare routines
Susan loving your hair like this!!!! So cute! 😍😍
Susan, you look absolutely beautiful and you make the best skincare reaction videos!
Am I the only one that can’t afford skincare at this time? 😂
sarah Krogh I would send you some of mine if I could lol I just decluttered my skincare and have so much to get rid of! Do you live in the states?

Check out Susan's recommendations on drugstore or Walmart skincare products.
lol same here I'm not even allowed to leave the house
I used the same cleansing oil and yes! It’s really really really good, even for combination skin!
Yaaas girl, preach about long nails keeping germs and other crap (literally) under them.
Yep! I don't think people realize how disgusting they are underneath.
Okay, I haven't seen the video yet, but who else thinks Susan looks better than EVER before today???? That top! The colour! The makeup! The glow! The HAIR! I'm dead.
Amrita Ramesh You’re too good to me Amrita!
Can't wait to see you commenting Lydia Elise Millen's nighttime routine. xoxo
As I’m watching this and Susan is talking about Hyram making a video, I get a push notification that James Welsh just uploaded a video reviewing Dove’s Skincare Routine. Lol. It’s like she knew someone was going to make another video. She could feel it.
Did they delete the videos? I stg I just saw both of them like an hour ago and now i search and can't find them I thought i was going crazy
@@adrianrs9520 yeah James deleted his video. He probably didnt mean to upload it today.
Adrian RS After i finished Susan’s video, I went to my notifications and tried to click on the video and it came up blank and said this video is private and it wasn’t on his channel when I went to it. I’ve seen that before and I think @Jessica R is right. I think he may have taken it back down or uploaded it and made it private until he decides to release it. He may have realized he released it at the same time as Susan.
Adrian RS i just went and looked and its still in my notifications but when i click on it, it still says this video is private. I wish we could send pics with these comments so i could show you what it looks like.
