    I think the big thing to keep in mind is Ryobi is made for home use, DeWalt is made for professional use. When you are using a tool for home use it usually doesn't get used very much versus a professional use tool, so is it really that big of a deal to have a quick change if you only use it a couple times a year?

    • @fixanythingsavemoney
      @fixanythingsavemoney  Год назад +3

      That's a good point. I guess if you're only switching the blades once a year it's really not a big deal at all. I was just picturing how quickly I burn through blades and how annoying it would be but you're right, for the typical homeowner not a deal breaker at all. Thanks for the comment! Have a good night!

      True, but why produce a model with such a BS design?! I'm a huge fan of Ryobi, but there's a lot of room for improvement

    • @fixanythingsavemoney
      @fixanythingsavemoney  23 дня назад

      I think they probably figure it's the cheaper model so most likely homeowners will buy it and use it once a year for a quick cut and then not have to change the blade for a long time but I agree with you. A lot homeowners buy tools and use them constantly.

    Also that model doesn't include a hex key holder, which is ridiculous. Ryobi should reduce the sheer number of models in a category and upgrade all that remain with the BASIC features that we all expect

    • @fixanythingsavemoney
      @fixanythingsavemoney  23 дня назад

      Couldn't agree more. You can still buy this tool at most hardware stores. With so many other better options even from Ryobi they should just make those features standard.

    My goodness, aren't we LAZY?!😂. No offense but that thought came to mind after he said the tools were exceeding his expectations until he pulled out the multi tool. Now, as a former hamdyman, i can attest to the fact that it is very nice to have tools that dont need tools to change out attachments. That said, a Ryobi is really not for commercial use where time is money. Ryobi didna great thimg by attaching the tool you need right on it. For home users, it shouldn't be an issue. I have had dewalt tools, craftsman, makita, ryobi, Milwaukee, rigid, and a few others. I miss my old craftsman tools the most. I stopped buying them when STANLEY BLACK AND DECKER bought them out in 2017! I've always despised B&D tools for the most part. For the price and the variety and the quality, i have found that Ryobi is really good. I get deals through Home Depot, getting batterys and chargers with big disocunts by buying their free tool sets they offer with batteries. One has tomseach the site, though, because they have it set up so you have to search page after page for the best offers. 🙏

    • @fixanythingsavemoney
      @fixanythingsavemoney  2 дня назад

      Haha yes we are getting very lazy! That being said when you can buy tools that offer that feature for a similar price I figured it was worth mentioning. As I'm sure you know the blades on these wear out frequently when they are getting steady use but you're right. For the average homeowner who uses the tool a few times a year probably not a huge deal. Thanks for watching and for the detailed comment! Have a great weekend!

    I own that multi tool and a bunch of other ryobi stuff and I’m a contractor. I hate that I have to change it with a key, but the tool is fine. I’d stay away from the Amazon multi tool blades, they are trash, get better blades.
    I own a combo or ryobi and Dewalt because ryobi is a 1/3 in price and if it get stolen from a job, no problem. The stuff that we use a lot of that we need a lot more precision, dewalt all day.

    • @fixanythingsavemoney
      @fixanythingsavemoney  8 месяцев назад

      I use some ryobi stuff too and have never had any issues. Like you said, you can't beat the price point. As far as performance I've never really noticed a significant lack in performance from the different brands. Changing the blade with a key is definitely a pain when other brands have the quick change feature. Thanks for watching and for the comment! Have a great night!

    Tool less blade change is fine if you don't have to work in really tight spaces because the blade head is huge. Both my milwaukee m12 and ryobi are the hex style, might take an extra 20 seconds to change a blade but I can work places the others can't

    One thing I think about the blade change is...how often are you really changing blades??

    • @fixanythingsavemoney
      @fixanythingsavemoney  23 дня назад

      I guess it all depends on how often you're using the tool. Homeowners might swap blades out once a year but if you're using the tool frequently the blades do wear out extremely fast on these. They actually make a tool that resharpens the blades which I've thought about buying and testing out because the blades for these are pretty expensive. Thanks for the comment and for watching, have a great weekend!

    • @fixanythingsavemoney
      @fixanythingsavemoney  6 месяцев назад

      I'd be curious if there is any difference in the motors. When you compare the two brushless models I'm seeing like 30$ price difference. That being said that feature saves a couple minutes every blade change not a big deal for most people but contractors who use it constantly would probably rather spend the extra money to save time.
