I'm not thinking so much of Sir Richard's observations as of the interviewer's ability to pose trenchant and penetrating questions and her willingness to let Sir Richard speak. And when she did address a potential "gotcha" issue - the possible flaws in intelligence leading up to the Iraq war - she gave him space rather than getting on a moral high-horse; and he said some things very believable, even though he evaded addressing anything directly. And, as he implied, time will tell.
