I know you're taking the perspective of uniqueness or innovativeness, but regarding your comment about "just another MIM Player Stratocaster," I think the MIM Fender guitars in general are the pinnacle workhorse guitars in terms of quality, durability, availability of parts, and diversity across the range. An MIM HSS Strat, especially one spec'ed like this, is really a "do-it-all" guitar at a price within reach, at least with financing lol, for most working adults.
…if you like Fender’s. 😂
13:02 that's why I watch your videos instead of other's,(I watch them all but yours religiously! ) I want to hear the guitar played the way I play(not Shreader gift of God fingers) it's a honest way of showcasing the guitar. Extremely skilled players make ANYTHING sound great, by way of experience and trickery. I don't give a crap how well someone can do sweep arpeggios. And I don't care for the extra flamboyancy that come with lead guitar playing. The Swedish have a saying: Jante Lagen. Personally, I rather listen to your diddy strumming tunes than some show off that doesn't, at least, try to share their talent. You inspire me to play my guitars more than any showboat guitarist ever will. Not that I don't like fast guitar playing, I've been a metalfan all my life, but my hands are broken and cannot do any fancy stuff. 😃Cheers from Newfoundland
Yes exaclty. Same when it comes to pedals.I enjoy watching Andy's demos for fun but never buy something because he makes it sound good.Dude could plug into a toaster and sound like Hendrix. Need to hear what a mere mortal can do with it.
I recently played the SSS model with a maple fretboard, it was pretty good but I honestly liked the silver 75th anniversary model better for right around the same price
You’ve gotten so much better at your plying, like for real, so don’t minimize your chops. Yes, they are not shredding nor they are long lines, but they are honest and honest people like myself, a “regular” player like you, we appreciate this way of presenting the guitars you bring us.
Anyways, the truth of the matter is you are getting better, and we know you are a humble type of guy, but you’ve work hard on your skills through dealing because like us you love guitars, so be proud!
Get to play with precision, clean notes, showing domain on what you’re doing, even if it’s simples, is actually a great thing!
It’s much better to hear simple riffs well played than a clumsy played complex stuff.
WTF does honest people have to do with shredding? You basically just said shredding is dishonest in a nice way. Pretty ignorant.
I like his plying too. A multi layered person indeed :)
Just picked one up, I recommenced the all maple neck jade green version. Getting some great Primus tones with this.
Yep, spot on. Hate Pau Ferro feels to gritty.
The green has me almost there now.
I got one of these in cosmic jade and really like it. I have a bunch of Fenders and this MX made model holds it's own against many of the the American models. Great Fender strat for the money, right now. The pull knob is kind of an issue with sweaty hands, but a couple of small rubber bands around the grip of the knob work perfect, I used daughters clear hair ties and it really isn't noticeable. Anyway, that solved that problem.
Thats a great idea
I have the Cosmic Jade too, thanks for the idea with the push/pull knob!
That lighter color on the top horn looks a lot like Sonic Blue. Which would fit with the whole blue gradient vibe.
My only complaint is the "aged" plastic. I think regular white plastic with tele knobs would work better on these guitars.
Fair point. It does look a little out of place to me too
Totally
For me the fingerboard sticks out like sore thumb. Would love if they gave you an option to choose maple on every model
Nah, fits with the pickguard
@@simonfinch9277 yea i love the belair blue but i personally dislike pao ferro and it doesn’t really fit imo. A maple fretboard would be a instant buy, even though im gonna get it anyway even if it has pao ferro
I just got the Cosmic Jade as my first Fender solidbody electric (First Fender period was the electric Jade player Redondo Acoustic/Electric Dreadnought) and I gotta say after starting with Epiphone and switching over to Squier and an Airline Bighorn, I "get it" and it feels so much better and easier to play and sounds amazing for what I'm trying to do for Wicked Gaze.
I like it and the colors, I'm really more of a Lester Player but I do Love Telecaster and Stratocaster sounds TONEAGE and Playability. Heck I Love Guitars period. 🎸
😂 same. Well said
I dig all the Fender recently!
Me too. I love the variety in general lately.
There's a way to wire the humbucker so that it coil splits in position 2. This prevents the HB from overpowering the middle pickup so you get standard Strat Quack. You can then use the push-pull pot to add the bridge pickup anytime. Neck & Bridge or all three.
I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who doesn't like pau ferro - or Indian laurel, for that matter. Admittedly, I've not played a guitar with either, but I just don't like the way those species of fretboard look.
I've been thinking about the 3-color sunburst SSS since I first saw these. Thanks for the in-depth review!
I have it on a Mustang bass, it’s not different in feel, but it’s like someone forgot to stain it darker. 😂
@@joermnyc That's just it. They probably do play and sound great, but I can't get over the way they look lol To each their own, though.
troggy guitar
I must really be in the minority here, I'm just not a fan of the new finishes. Gradients and the like just don't look right to me.
Nah they look bad. It's not even a smooth transition to each color
I like the cosmic Jade w/ maple board. I That’s it. Even the silver burst looks bad. How do you mess up silver burst?
They look so tacky. I prefer the classic colors all the way.
And your opinion is 100 percent fair. It's not for everyone. I like it myself, but I love off instruments with quirkiness
@@jeffleecust I think the silver burst looks sick with that chrome humbucker
I like how reviewers think a 1000 dollar anything is "affordable" lol. A hundred or two hundred is affordable, a thousand is expensive.. Heck anything above 300 stops being affordable or cheap, and at the price point these fall at, they are expensive..
I do like the way the sound, and look, but I am not a fan of the issue with the High E, that should have been taken care of by the string tree, I mean that is the whole point in having a string tree in the first place, to stop that sound from happening. That kind of issue, may be easily fixable, but it makes a guitar above 200 be a no go for me. Meaning that if I find that issue with a guitar under 200, I just fix it and move on. If I pay more than 200 for a guitar and it has that very issue, I send it back.. I have standards, and I expect that if I were to pay over 200 dollars for a guitar, the only thing it will need once I get it is to be tuned and intonation and of course the string height lowered and such.. or basically just a cheap setup I can do at home lol. Without the use of nut files and such.
actually $1000 for what you’re getting is not bad, just save up for a bit it’s with in reach of a lot of players including me,just wish they were available left handed
He did say "fairly affordable" which I would personally agree with.
I think you still expect the price of the 70's
@@michaelmetal71
If you save up, you too can afford a million dollar home...
I am sorry for how snide that may sound, but telling people to save up in order to be able to afford something that is way over priced, is not helpful to anyone but the company that is charging a thousand dollars for a 200 dollar guitar.
I could be off on that number, it could be cost Fender about 215 to make that guitar lol.
Seriously though, my point I was making was more along the lines that if we are going to classify this guitar, "affordable" is not what bracket we would put it in, "expensive" is the bracket that fits this guitar. A thousand dollars is not what a father spends on his 12 year olds first guitar, 200 is the max a father spends in that case. This guitar is priced as if it is made 100% by hand by the best luthiers in the land, and this guitar is being mass produced by mostly machines in Mexico...
Don't get me wrong, its a good guitar, its just not a thousand dollar guitar, as almost no guitars are a thousand dollar guitar, even if they are often priced that way, and people are dumb enough to spend that much for them.
@@costasci
nope, I expect the price a item to match what its actually worth. This guitar is a 200 dollar ish guitar, being sold as if it is a thousand dollar top end guitar. If I were to take the same guitar from the 70s, and add inflation to the prices, this guitar would still not be a thousand dollars, at most and I do mean at most, this guitar might be a 250 dollar guitar lol. I wish I was kidding.
Well, I really dont know where Fender is getting that pau ferro (iron wood for you guys up north), cause pau ferro can be waaaay darker than that one, actually his nickname here is Brazilian Ebony. That one is looking more like jatobá, which have that light almost pinkish colour .
Pau ferro is a wonderfull wood, almost like rosewood and ebony mixed.
Jatoba is nice as a floor, It's hard as hell.
this color scheme was introduced in 1982 on the smith strats. i puchased mine in 82 and just bought the new one 40 years later
The noiseless single coils sound lifeless, the humbucker needs more character, the split humbucker is like a mosquito attack, and any guitar with nut problems is a major issue for me.
It’s too bad they didn’t put a real wide range pickup in there, but those are hard to make (weird alloy for the magnet screw pole pieces, no bar magnet like on a Gibson PAF)
@@joermnyc another annoying this is the fact that most Fender humbuckers are mounted with 2 screws on the bass side and 1 on the treble. Makes looking for aftermarket pickups more difficult.
@@jaxonvictoria4345 I am surpassed aftermarket pickup makers don’t offer the three tab mounting as an option at least, but there may be less demand for it. I’m sir if you ask them they can do it. Hopefully not for much more than stock.
Yea man. I think the humbucking rounds off a bit of the treble that you expect from single coils.
To me, it comes down to the pickups. All other specs look pretty good, but if you want the classic strat sound, these pickups don't do it (plus, you wouldn't be looking at an HSS configuration to begin with). If you just want a versatile guitar, then this might be the right one.
Austin during your distortion it sounded so muddy and you could hear the amp sending out some interference. Check it out by listening to your video. As always you do a great job of showing these guitars up close and personal.
Trogly's in the HOUSE!!!
Greg's in the house 🏠 😳 🙄 👀 😂 😐.
GO GREG!!!!
The Noiseless isn’t ‘like a hummbucker’, it is a hummbucker. It’s an HHH, they just use stacked hummbuckers in the neck and mid. Electronically & sonically, Single coil means ‘Single Coil’.
Eh, I feel it's a bit more nuanced. They have alnico rods instead of bars and steel rods, plus they have a different "window" of the string they interact with, and sometimes the internal wiring is different. They're not classic single coils, but they're also not humbuckers tonally speaking. Like if we can single out P bass pickups from soapbars, wide range humbuckers from normal ones, etc we can carve out a space for these unique pickups too.
@@fairguinevere666 True, the narrow magnetic field and the rod magnets most certainly do their part to keep the single coil vibe alive in their tonal character/profile.
I switched to maple since you can't get rosewood anymore, I think I'd prefer laurel to pau because it doesn't dry out as fast
@@joebryant8500 color wise I think it's better (darker) than pau and it feels more like it
Bought one in that color as my backup, kick-around, going-to-spend-the-weekend-at-the-beach guitar. The nut width and ergonomics are closer to my prize strats so it doesn’t feel like I’m missing anything. And the Boss WAZA Air headphones make it all a nice travel (not talking about airline travel) package. Thanks for confirming that it was a good buy!
Really dont like those necks.. I prefer maple 🍁😏
Definitely dig the colors and p/u selections.
To be honest, im so glad that i gig with my 1979 les paul deluxes with their mini humbuckers.
I just bought the 3 single coil version in Olympic pearl. I honestly love it. I'm kinda bummed that I didn't get the humbucker one, since it has a split coil option, which is like the ultimate pickup essentially. But the one I got is better in every other way. I love the fact that I can use the bridge pickup along with the neck on a strat! Just like a tele. And it's crazy to hear all 3 pickups on at the same time. Plus, I've got so many humbucker guitars at this point. I think having a good single coil axe is important for the sounds i like. It comes with locking tuners, which is great. It's actually crazy, because they make a USA model currently that has the exact same paint job and pickguard. So it looks like a top of the line strat. The fretboard on mine is rolled perfectly. It's a bit heavy, but I don't hate heavy strats. I prefer Gibsons to be lighter, due to the way those guitars are made. Makes sense to have a bit more "open" sounds on a Gibson, in my opinion, since they're already very dark.
I finally got a chance to play one of those squier starcasters yesterday. I'm pretty sure that's what they're calling it. It's kinda funny because they've used that name for other guitars before. Very confusing, Fender lol.
Anyways, I love your guitar show, dude. I'm hoping to collect enough someday to be on your level with the trading. Most of my guitars are under $1000 right now, but I've got a couple really nice ones, and I plan to get more, and hopefully learn to trade up the way you do. I've got a Glarry lol. I wonder if I could trade that up to an SG over time. That would be so hard for me though, because I don't even know what I'm doing. I play guitar pretty well though lol.
how is it holding up so far ? I got the exact same guitar recently (3 single coil version in Olympic pearl)
@@sourav2328 amazing so far. I freaking love it. It's a bit hard to lift the tone knob, but I'm able to do it with my nail or pick. If I need to be able to pull it up really fast in a live setting, I'd probably change it to a metal telecaster knob, but I have no need to do that for now.
It's great though. It's my new favorite guitar. I love the paint job. So luxurious lol
How's yours holding up?
@@Casey3-P-O so far I'm loving it....but lot of negative comments regarding the noiseless pickup ....as I see it over the internet. Is that really true...? It's my first fender so i don't know how it differs from the previous genaration or vintage strats, all i know is this is a totally different and offcourse modern guitar.
@@sourav2328 I really love the look of this guitar and it has a maple neck… but I wish they made it in HSS. I know the American version is exactly what I want but I’m not paying American prices yet until I get better. I played for a few months when I was 16yrs old with a used squire strat and Marshall tube amp I got used off my brothers friend for like $300. That was definitely a better guitar still in terms of quality for a 1996 or older. Currently playing an Epiphone Les Paul Special ii that I got for under $200 on sale. I upgraded the practice amp to a Roland Micro Cube GX and it’s been fun except the plug jack keeps coming loose. But man I wish I still had that Marshall practice Amp and my DID Nirvana Grunge pedal! I’m definitely on the fence about getting this new updated Strat because I really want those locking tuners and the HSS in maple but spending $1000 is a lot for a guitar you don’t love. I did see a limited edition version HSS that looks tempting. Curious how this would play with 9-42 strings?
@@greg6162 i would definitely say use only 9's on these to get that twang! Heavier gauge strings wouldn't give that sound. Mine is holding up really good so far. But someday I want to compare it with the regular single coil pickups....like Texas special or something....to actually compare and see if the noiseless pickups really lacks the juice as most of them say over the internet.
Can’t wait for Fender to do the Trogly signature series guitar & beat Gibson to it
Great review. I've had my new Fender Player Plus HSS Stratocaster for a couple weeks now. I love it. The build quality from Mexico is superb. Keep up the good work my friend.
Yes new vid!
I like the finish. It is almost identical to the "Stratoburst" finishes Fender used in the very early '80s.
In 1982, Fender released a "The Strat" with a Red to Gold Stratoburst finish and gold hardware. It looked sensational. The modern takes look like cheap imitations in comparison.
Not as bad as the McDonald's fade.. someone will like it.
The only mod i'll prolly do, or maybe not, is to replace the wiring where the neck and bridge pups are on. Like a tele on their PP SSS series
Zubaz!! I was thinking Jello 1-2-3, but digress. I dig the satin neck and "carmel" frets. Not wild about the HB, kind of muted sounding- clean. For me, it's all about the neck/middle position-funky, full, chimey. HB better on OD. That tap knob, try spreading the prongs/shaft so it's tight when you slide it on half way- then it's sitting up to grab. Ü
This would’ve looked so much better with a maple fingerboard. I can’t stand Pau Ferro
Thankfully it's a bolt on. Just sell the Pau Ferro neck or trade for a maple one and you're all set.
Rosewood is legal again. Hope it comes back soon as standard wood.
If they can’t go back to rosewood, I would prefer richlite than this awful looking Pau ferro
If I had to I'd try staining or dying the Pau Ferro really dark like Ebony.
Gloss it.l saw a glossed figured rosewood. It was banging
Love fender. I hope they take care of their dealers and improve their supply .
Would like to hear Matthew Scott crank on it.
The man the myth the legend is here. I like the fenders in the IBZ10G. for what ever reason it has such a good tone
Yeah strats with noiseless pickups sound like "almost strats". Its recognizable, but lacking something.
Those pickups sound pretty lifeless to me and as far as the paint scheme, I think they could have done a better job to the fade.
Yeah man. Cool. I love Fenders. I just modified one of my MIM strats with Gen 4 noiseless pups. Love them.
The neck on these is superb. I got mine used but like new and feel that is the way to go on this model. The pickups are ok but if I keep it I will replace them with something more traditional.
These are a 12" radius and not 9.5" correct?
Correct, flatter radius for their more “modern” guitars
correct (yes, 12" radius)
This is my dream guitar, I recently started playing guitar this summer, at the end of summer I got a Squier affinity telecaster, then about 2-3 months later I built a partscaster for about $600 bucks, next summer I hope to get this
Did you get it?
I think it’s amazing how Gibson and Fender are still on top of the guitar world, even with all of these new companies and competitors that are around today. That says a lot about their commitment to putting out nothing less than the best!
Phillip McKnight described them as “Lifestyle Brands” on his channel. He means that the name of these two brands are so famous that even non-musicians know that they make guitars. I’m not sure if it is a good thing or not, but it is a hard point to argue with.
Good observation. Even more amazing is that both Fender and Gibson instruments still retain a lot of their resale value.
✌️
I've NEVER Liked Noiseless Pups. But? You made those sound pretty Awesome. I have a 2013 Standard, Cherry Burst, Plus Top, Maple Fretboard, HSS, Floyd Rose, Version I payed $749 back then. Love the HSS Strats. Thank you Troggly. Great Review. 😁
I have an american elite hss strat. The noiseless pups are fantastic and worth checking out in the newer fenders.
That finish reminds me of Hohner's 'Professional' guitar line from the late 80's to early 90's, which included a bronze/white-fade Strat copy.
I really like the color fade on this. Sounds pretty darn good too!
Nice sounds and specs, but I hate Pau Ferro. Pale color and feels dry no matter how much you oil it.
Having a coil split on a guitar that is otherwise hum free is kind of silly. I'd rewire it so that the push pull would turn on the neck pickup in any position so to get B+N or all 3 pickups on at once tones.
That's the awesome thing about strats, so easy to mod. You could even add an extra switch to the pick guard and get both
Will rosewood ever gonna be back on Mexican Fenders? They only seem to be using it on some artist guitars and I really dislike the pale look and dry feel of Pau Ferro.
I agree with you about Pau Ferro. I'm pretty sure you can stain/dye it darker and then moisturize the wood with mineral oil.
Pao Ferro looks HORRIBLE. I stay away from anything pao ferro
That one is so pale! Doesn’t look good at all
I've been using Pau ferro on strats for the best part of thirty years, and tbh I really do prefer it to rosewood. It sits between maple and rosewood in texture & feel (sound is subjective!). It darkens with age, but my boards were dark from the off. The fender boards are the lightest I've ever seen. I have 5 strats/tele's with PF boards (not Fenders), none of them feel 'dry', the grain is tight but they do take a good quality light oil (Crimson Guitars) really well. I agree, visually the latest boards don't 'look right', but my fingers don't care! Its awesome as neck material too - my current fave is PF neck/Ebony board & steel frets. 'Slick' is an understatement. I keep getting the feeling my fingers want to thank me!!
@@hkguitar1984 A friend of mine dyed it. After a while, wear spots begin to show. It all looked really nasty. I wouldn't recommend it. And yes, you can moisturize it, but it still feels dry. It doesn't have the same smooth feel as rosewood or even ebony.
Most people DO swap out the push pull for a Textured chrome knob, if you can find the kind that Schecter uses they're probably the best imo.
These are great guitars but to be competitive they need to be way cheaper. You can get a lot of guitar for under $1,000.
Oh yeah. The market is hyper competitive now
I have a Bob Weir premier Bedford by Dangelico, that blows that away for a grand
For me this was one of the better choices in that price category.
@@kingmarke6940 What made it the better choice in this price category? Just trying to start a conversation.
@@zacharydesjardins3701 yeah, seems to me that they put locking tuners on an 800 dollar guitar and charged another 200 bones for it.Not to mention 4 figures and still no rosewood.
I wasn’t convinced when I first saw photos of these, but getting to see one up close and wow. Gorgeous ❤️
I got mine recently. And I realized that there is no electric shielding in this guitar, the back paint in the cavity is not conductive.. Great Fender. I have a small static issue when I touch the pick guard, so electric shielding is important for me.
You can get wax that darkens the fretboard To rosewood levels of darkness ,andertons in uk sell it ,its what id do if i bought one
so the noiseless single coils are really stacked humbuckers
Correct, I've had a couple sets of the Fender Noiseless and have always replaced them with traditional single coils.
I believe the real advantage of the Noiseless pickups is when using a lot of gain when the articulation of a true single coil isn't noticeable, then being humbuckers is a real advantage as far and no hum/noise.
No, the bottom half of the pickup is reverse wound. It cancels hum but it’s a single coil.
it better have been made in West Philadelphia
The wholesome Troggles back at it again with another great video!
Yeah, my Son has a Tom Delong ES-333 with a highly figured Pau Ferro fingerboard that is very active as far as flame.
So you got the SSH but NOT the Cosmic Jade Green version? It's not getting any greener than that.
I saw one of these for a few seconds. I picked it up, and it was the heaviest Strat I’d ever picked up, but for one of those heavy 1970s Strats. Maybe the weight isn’t a deal-breaker, but it was noticeably heavier than any of my five Strats.
That pull switch on the middle tone knob…all you need to do is to ease the knob a couple of mm off the shaft, so you can get underneath it.
Great demo. Thanks for showing the colour range.
Man kinda lame they don't let you keep it, at least you get paid lol
Trogly I have a special mod I do to strat knobs where I have a tastefully designed tassle so you can more easily pull out a strat knob
Love the idea of attaching tassels to knobs.
Use peanut butter to remove the crap from the neck plate, or fine polish.
Just wanted to say that with the push/pull pot, i find it quite easy to just slide my pick under it and pop it up. :)
If the single coils are two coils stacked together, doesn't that technically make them stacked humbuckers?
That’s my understanding
That guitar looks like something a K-pop band would be playing! No love for it here. I would rather buy a used American Special Strat or Tele, with some sweet Texas Special pickups. Any Fender Noiseless pickups dull my senses.
1 meg pots? Damn, quite amazed you didn't notice that.
All of the Fender Noiseless pickups I've looked at had 1M Ohm Pots. Anything less and they sound like a regular humbucker.
You can install 1M Ohm pots in a Les Paul and it will sound like single coils.
Congratulations on 200k subs.
Shows 199k for me?
@@Forest_Fifer you are right
It seems nice. Honestly though, I have a much nicer 1984 Ibanez RS440 with the same pickup configuration, a better coil splitter, a better neck, and a better tremolo system. Not to mention I ditched the Ibanaez tremolo and put in a Kahler/Floyd Rose and replaced the humbucker with a Jeff Beck Seymour Duncan. The Ibanez was $299 at the time and I think I sunk another couple hundred in replacing the tremolo and pickup. So basically, I've got a much better version of this Fender already :)
What i like in this review. no fancy overdrive and we can undertsand what the natural sounds look like😇
Looks like a blue you’d find on a 50s Bel-Air Chevy
It is. Not the tv show
Yeah, a lot of Fender's colors were taken from cars.
@@joebryant8500 Yeah, I have this chart with pictures that show from which cars the colors came from. It's pretty neat.
I'll tell you what that fingerboard reminds me of. It reminds me of the different Tom Anderson Stratocaster models that I've seen in the hands of Weird Al guitarist Jim West and ex Bob Seger and Chicago guitar player Dawayne Bailey.
This is the reason why I do not like purchasing a guitar from an display at a music store. It is not because others play them, I do not have a problem with that. It is because some buy them, take them apart at home to see what is inside, and then return them to the store where the guitar ends up on an display sold as brand new.
Liking Gibsons so much, you should probably like the 12" radius fingerboard.
Pau Ferro fretboard feels too gritty. Maple is way smoother.
That's actually really nice never really been much of a fender person always loved my Gibsons but I mean that as that does look pretty cool looks pretty nice I would don't want those I like that color too
I used to mix paint & we put a drop of blue tint in to make "ultra white"
Would to see Strat silver burst side by side with Gibson Silverburst🤘
Except by the color, this is a really nice guitar. I dig it.
I'm a blue fan...love that color theme!
Another, clear, in-depth and informative review. Well done so, thank you.
For that price, I’d rather have a Charvel DK24 HSS.
How is it compare to hybrid ii from japan
I think that neck pickup routing would not fit a covered humbucker, that's what i wanted to do.And if only they would use the contoured neck heel.
In 2nd position (no matter if split or not), I can't hear that "duck" sound I knew from regular strats.
This color scheme is very reminiscent of some Two Tone Lotus Stratocasters from the days of old.
Yes. My very first guitar was one of those Lotus Strats. Faded from white/cream to an orangish red and had gold hardware.
Very similar to a prs I saw minus the white in the finish. Looks nice though!
Nice revue Trogly. Nobody has so far said if the bar is a push fit or the dreaded threaded version, which is it please?
The tremolo unit is an integral part of many guitarist's playing...a lot of us would like to see that used in the review. NOT picking on you, Mr. Trogly, it would just be nice to know if it's a decent unit or not.
I'm getting some floyd rose locking tremolos installed in on mine, I haven't got them back yet but I'm dying to try them out.
I just can’t get over the plastic truss rod plug. At least leave it blank like some squires. A vintera I can find a few hundred less than this and is closest to American as you can get without the presidents bank account (aside from performer). I just feel like I’m paying a grand for plastic and synthetic. I’ve always been that way about plastic plugs. The modern player plus series is a much better option in my opinion. These new colors indeed are unique, but considering my 2016 modern player plus tele was 500$ brand new, I can’t imagine why I’d ever spend over a grand on a guitar ever again. Sure my tele has the plastic plug but at least the price gives a reason why. When it was gifted to my by my cousin, I thought it was some sort of limited edition USA until I saw the headstock. Greatest tele I ever played. Even better than the performer USA.
Love the Tequila strat -Im a fan of classic strats and tones so that would be cool.
Does anyone know how I can guy the neck on this guitar? 22 fret, 12” radius, rolled edges (preferably maple). Do they not sell these Player Plus necks individually? Bc I’ve been looking for a while and I’ve found necks that are incredibly close but are always missing at least 1 thing from the Player Plus neck. Surely they sell replacement necks for these guitars right???
Hello, can someone please tell me or confirm that there is going to be a Fender "Heroes series" coming out soon? like a Bruce Springsteen or a Keith Richards Telecaster. heard someone talk about it a few weeks ago but not heard any more? i wounder if there holding them off until the player plus range get a few more weeks of sales?
Well, I fell in Love with this guitar, als soon, as I saw it first. I already watched some Videos about it. Well, your video was too much for me. I stopped it, drove to a local dealer and bought one. After setting it up, changing strings and playing it for some time, I continue watching your Video. :)
