Thanks for the Spitballin’ shoutout! Yeah, I agree with you that the level of disappointment with the CT scan interview was mainly because of the crazy build-up. We thought we were going to get some specifics and it was really more of a technology topic.
If the general consensus is this CT scanning has been going on for a long time and it is only NOW being brought to light, how can anyone purchase ANYTHING pre- this moment in time for high end bokes/cases? If a company, that potentially has access to a scanner and is selling boxes that cost $1000, $10,000, etc, can you trust them that they are not pre-scanned? Does this potentially remove the wholesale aspect of the hobby and the only way to purchase product knowing it has not been scanned is from Fanatics/Topps and Panini direct?
Yes, you can only buy from fanatics direct to consumer just as Rubin planned.
People that work at Panini, Topps, and Fanatics can scan the boxes too. Don't get it twisted.

Did you see on Instagram Backyard Breaks is "calling their shot" about pulling the CJ Stround Gold Vinyl 1/1 and they are even ripping it live at PSA?
I've said this before, but when I was in college I worked part time for a guy who told me this story: when he was in college he had a roommate who bribed someone to backdoor him the Jordan 1991 Upper Deck SP1 baseball card, probably thousands of them. The only reason he stopped selling them is he single-handedly crashed the market. At first they were selling at like $60, after 2 months around $20.
Topps/Fanatics just as motivated to settle so they don't have to show us their product vulnerability... Also curious about the excised part of the SCM CT scanning chat... Have to imagine that it's secondhand info that can't be corroborated easily... Very happy to hear that vintage wax is the most difficult for them to image...

Could someone please confirm this idea, I am under the impression that the CT scanner cannot be useful for packs of cards that are 100% paper,.. for example 1985 Topps baseball cards.

Oh, man. The only thing that guy needs is for whatever waste/trash receptacle - IF that's where he obtained them - to have been left out for pickup. Lawfully, it's generally accepted that if it was placed out for pickup, anyone could theoretically claim or take it. Case would be over in 5 minutes.
If being the key word. I have to imagine they don’t take him to court if they knew that already.
Would it be possible to make Wrappers and Boxes with wire strands, flakes or minor pieces of metal in them ?? So when they scan the box, it is clearly ruined or severely damaged or when doing single packs the card wrapper is clearly ruined and the cards inside the packs are ruined.
If ya want the prices to go up even higher than what they are now( way overpriced already btw), then , yeah, it can be done 😂

Every state with legalized gambling has an agency who has been delegated the authority to regulate gambling--I don't know what you mean by "gov has enough crap to deal with right now" when an agency has that specific job. If you mean the federal government--I think you should probably take the time to understand gambling laws before naysaying something you clearly know nothing about.
