if u using hdmi to type c cable without adapter, your phone battery will drain quite fast and phone will be hot(based on my experience) for this video, seems like his phone is not charging. I'm not sure if both of his adapter and phone will be hot or not.

In that cast you might need need a different adapter/cable or your phone don't allow Thether mirroring.
You could simply record the screen.
