I like your presentation and various comparisons. Just ordered a Chaos XS 50 W/ Diawa 7' MH AIRD Rod. We'll see how it does against my AG 6500CL3 W/Ugly Stik BWC 1129 7' MH. Keep up the GREAT Content!
i bought the 40s, they are perfect for me.. going down in size a lot from my massive rover 60s the difference has been great. pretty hard to backlash, great drag system, love that the star drag clicks, the baitclicker sounds awesome to the point i leave it on while reeling in fish... not too obnoxious of a clicker but good enough to hear a fish take off. reel looks great too and it matches up with my bass pro graphite series rods that i keep going back to. if i ever go up to a bigger diameter abrasion resistant line and stop using my 17# trilene XL then i will be switching to the chaos 50s for sure.
Alright I've had them for about 6 or 7 months and have caught a good amount of carp with them. A good solid 200 at the very least. On one reel shortly after my post the thumb bar stopped wanting to reset with a turn of the handle. The handle is getting loose. The anti-reverse is starting to go out. The other reel seems fine and they both cast smoothly and rarely backlash (with as many brakes turned off as possible; spool tension set just enough to allow the weight to fall straight down in the water with the line taut while gently thumbing the spool to feel a drop) unless I do something dumb. The drag is a little weird on both reels imo but I can't really explain that one. The paint and stuff has held up to a lot of abuse so they look OK. I don't know what else to say aside from I use 17# Trilene XL and usually throw 1 or 2 oz with a pretty big chunk of pack bait on the hook.
P.S. I'll still end up buying some 50s. I'm pretty sure I just beat the hell out of my 40s wild water fishing and they are still a fine product especially for the money. Hopefully Piscifun will start selling all the replacement parts for these reels.
thank you for doing these. recently started trying to get into catfishing and i started off with a Lews XL. I dunno if it was me, but I couldnt get it to cast but 30ft. I returned it and ordered a Pascifun 50. Hopefully it works out better for me.

I would have like to see that each sinker on a dead drop traveled at the same rate to ensure all the breaking was set the same for the compare. All solid casts either way.
Hey man! Thanks for the video I’ve been debating on buying some of these. I’ve been catfishing my whole life and I’m also from indiana, more central indiana .

I guessed the 40 based on it having the lightest spool. I was wrong. Your casting is good for a light sinker and a level winder. My Akios CT and Squall could smoke these reels, but pretty good for the price nevertheless.

Just pulled my 60 out of the box last night, I noticed it has a little slop or play on the drive shaft which transmits through the handle, kinda makes a “clickity clack” sound. Is this just normal for this reel? Just wanted to make sure before I spool it up. Thanks

Anyone happen to know if these are made at the same facility as the Lew’s SC600? I now have the SC600 and also the Chaos CS50 and would bet a good bit that they are actually the same reel with a different name…. So far I love them both, but will likely only buy Chaos reels due to the price ($46 delivered from Piscifun website with promo code)

That's test is inconclusive! Unless you do it with a machine that cast with the same speed and same projectile all the time. What about wind drag? There are so many variables involved with the casts.
Here is what you should expect: This test is null and void! By virtue of you casting the reels 3 different times, you can not conclude that one is better than the other or one cast farther than the others.
Most do as you can see in the video I own tons of brands including abu garcia. This is a video on a budget reel and its a great option for people that cannot afford the more expensive stuff.
Love video's like this. I bank fish so casting distance and line capacity are very important features to me as well as smooth drag
