Hi I saw a wolverine on Sonora Pass in the Sierras in the late 1970's. I majored in wildlife biology and am very familiar with California animals. This was at about 10,000 feet and you can see Half Dome from the highway near the spot where I saw it, I have talked to hunters in the area and 2 or 3 people said they had seen them when I described the animals. I think there is a small population of wolverines in the area that have been there for a long time.

Who asked me not to talk about it. But since the Department of wildlife has made the Wolverine near Yosemite public. Which came out a couple years ago. I think its safe to talk about my sighting. I won't disclose the exact location. For the same reason the biologist told me to keep it to myself. (Fear of people shooting it). But I'll go so far as telling. It was in the Lassen Park area.

I think it’s wild how we talk about protecting wildlife when that’s what majority of our ecosystem thrives off of. I love the sense of humor of these guys👏🏽❤️
