We recently had a wolverine spotted and video taped here in Oregon as well. It was actually just outside of Portland if you can believe it. We sometimes get them up in the Cascade mountains up here but they don't usually wander into the valley.
Retep is the only one that kept this podcast together. Albeit with spit and bandaids but once it got popular, he transitioned to full time pod and gave the slave jobs to Kyle and…now Brandon? Love retep
Hi I saw a wolverine on Sonora Pass in the Sierras in the late 1970's. I majored in wildlife biology and am very familiar with California animals. This was at about 10,000 feet and you can see Half Dome from the highway near the spot where I saw it, I have talked to hunters in the area and 2 or 3 people said they had seen them when I described the animals. I think there is a small population of wolverines in the area that have been there for a long time.
@@nh_flex8922 just don’t become one of the academic experts like forest says. You can get a piece of paper and know every bone in an animals body. But even all the books in the world doesn’t teach what being in the field and seeing the actual animals can. He was talking about how they act all high and mighty for having a degree and talk down to a guy who lives with and watches animals 12 hours a day and has found a new behavior.
There's been several people that have reported sightings over the last 50 years. It's entirely possible there's been a breeding population hiding in the Sierras. The only proof we've found is a couple of photos. One from a trail cam and this latest one from a skier on a lift.
I absolutely can’t wait for the new podcast! I love listening to this while I fish and I the ones with BTG are some of my favorites! This one in particular was my favorite in a good while!
great episode boys, drinking makers mark and dr pepper, think uncle ben from urban rescue ranch would be a great guest he’s doing some great stuff down in texas!
I saw one in Pennsylvania. Escaped from a wildlife refuge, i guess. Squirrel hunting, red squirrel runs past me into a hole in a tree, then i looked up from my scope and saw it. I had no idea what it was. The game commission just released fishers, but this was as big as a small coyote.
Such a good episode. I had a feeling Araphima was getting picked for the BR. The size is hard to argue but if Retep took its ability to launch itself out of the water, instant winner.
Wolverine is like 3’2 long, 1.5’ at the shoulder and weigh 50 lbs. honey badgers are like 2’11”, 1’ at the shoulder and weigh 35 lbs. Wolverine in a fair fight SLAPS. The chase off fucking bears for Christ’s sake
Big jealousy on the lemon tree, dang that is nice. I always swore that if I lived in a hot climate I'd grow citrus but it's been 5 years and I'm still not getting my game together.
Why not get a nett for the lemon tree to protect it from "birds". We have them on fig trees here in Vancouver.. have nice tight links on it so that they can't slide the picker through it.. its also not normal for it to get cut, so you can also catch them on that
Growing up in Columbia, Ca I spent most summers on the mountain. Saw one in 2002 and was told by fish and game that they haven't been seen in 100yrs. Then was ignored!! Was told the same thing about the Ca Red Fox.
You guys are behind the curve. May 2015. I spotted a Wolverine on my logging job. No one on my crew believed me. But 2 years later. It was confirmed by an area biologist. Who asked me not to talk about it. But since the Department of wildlife has made the Wolverine near Yosemite public. Which came out a couple years ago. I think its safe to talk about my sighting. I won't disclose the exact location. For the same reason the biologist told me to keep it to myself. (Fear of people shooting it). But I'll go so far as telling. It was in the Lassen Park area.
The backwardness of this world we live in, it’s been sacred to my people of the kwastan tribe to ever hunt a buffalo.. it sucks when you hear the words “We” when “we” tried to warn you for years.. im not from the 1750s but the knowledge my grandparents passed down stuck with me made me view this world in a different light. I think it’s wild how we talk about protecting wildlife when that’s what majority of our ecosystem thrives off of. I love the sense of humor of these guys👏🏽❤️
I read that honeybees only die when they sting humans. The stinger is designed to kill other insects...pls correct me if I'm wrong. Also, according to a bird handler I met, "owls can turn their heads 360°, but only once." They max out around 270° in real life
I just found this podcast today and THIS IS AMAZING! and there are so many too watch, i watched qll the Forrest joes rogan podcasts and loved him and mever found this, gonna binge every ep over the next week or 2 😂😂😂
I wonder if it was the Oregon wanderer that was spotted several times around Portland, he swam across the huge Columbia river and kept being seen on camera headed South.
1:14:08 yeah but candiru naturally go for fish gills so Forrest’s penis fish can still effect Peter and Patrick’s creatures and as for BTG’s he better teach it bladder control
Both honey badgers and wolverines are crazy tough animals I honestly don’t know who would win. Forte made a good point but I wouldn’t underestimate the fight in a wolverine. Both are mustelids and mustelids are crazy lol 😂
I saw a wolverine from my fort in the woods when I was maybe 9. I live due north of Duluth MN, halfway to the border of Canada. It's a rare sighting even here.
I'm not going to lie, this bs always makes me HATE humanity for being so disgusting about destroying the world we live in all the while making me love it for people like these bastards who promote and acknowledge the bs
Awesome program! Really. I am i huge fan of wildlife and wildlife videos . So honeybadger(which are awesome) atleast is gonna have issues with the Wolverine. Ive seem footage of a single Wolverine taking on 3 wolves over a meal and forced all 3 to retreat, they are vicous wonderfull creatures. Anyways all you three great show keep it up. So educating and amusing at the same time! Skål
My sister was involved in a wolverine study while in college. They set up a hundred trail cameras. She said the most surprising thing they caught was a white tail deer eating baby birds out of their nest...shocking and absolutely real...lol.
So I live in Indiana Fort Wayne to be exact and my dad is a taxidermist and about 15 or so years ago a DNR officer had brought him a honey badger that he had trapped for him to mount. I remember this specifically and may be able to find a pic of it but it was definitely the most wicked mount I had ever seen my dad do. We used it a few times to scare a few family members. Any idea where that would have came from? If not in the USA?
For any of the true fans, that fact or fiction was simple and I'm surprised that you guys didn't get every one right. Every single one of those had been covered on a previous podcast 😉
What do you say to the hundreds if not thousands of credible eye witnesses from around the world that have had face to face encounters with Sasquatch, Yeti or Yowie.
I love sitting on my couch smoking a joint and eating bacon with my racoon. Listening to you gentleman's amazing podcast!!!! BEST way to end my day
You have a raccoon
You call your girlfriend Bacon?
@@RustCole01 no he calls his girlfriend raccoon
And they say money can’t buy happiness.
@@markusstewart9298pretty much anybody who doesn’t live in a war torn country can do all those things. Df does money have to do with anything.
This one was hilarious. BTG is hilarious addition for just a normal pod

I appreciate all of you!!!! But Peter I understand where you are and love your feedback in every video much love my dude
Agreed. Commenting for reassurance that we enjoy you on here Peter

Peters mini rant about the FP then being like "this is an animal & wildlife podcast" cracked me up LOL

Been watching y’all on and off for a while but I’m hooked now and bingeing old eps. Thank you for the content gentleman 💙
My gut says it’s a Grizzly Bear
Just got back from a fishing trip and get to sit back and listen to this?! Hell yeah
Those diving bell spiders are the supreme gentlemen, ‘you won’t copulate with me?! Fine I’ll get us both killed!’
That ad break on the ‘oops’ 9:05 was smooth
Not sure whether it was coincidence or a stroke of genius
Producer Kyle introduction was golden
Nothing beats these 4 always the best pods
The west coast wildfires have displaced so many animals that you wouldnt usually see. Bear sittings in the last 3 years have been crazy in california

That quiz section would be great as a game of Balderdash.
A wolverine isn't the top of the food chain. They are below grizzly bears and wolves and routinely outcomes both for food.

Last year a large Wolverine carrying a old goat head, was caught on video by local person in N. Utah
I may know that guy.. I had a buddy’s heart stop mid workout and some fella brought him back with paddles. Was this fella a skinny ginger?
More like a lean/muscular blonde fella but hey, it could still be the same guy. This event took place at 24 Hour Fitness in Glendale CA.
Wolverines encounter grizzlies and mountain lions and sabretooth my bromegos. No walk in the park
