But it seems like every other live version of One I’ve heard since the late 90s is him just talking the lyrics instead of singing them. (con't) part 2: staging....that enormous staging seems to detract, at times, from the actual music. Well, I was proven wrong, over and over throughout the single show I saw. I heard and saw a band that was so unbelievably good live. I was surrounded by love in the form of my sister, amazingly warm fans and, of course, fantastic music that either brought me great joy with a smile, or joy with tears. I've always liked U2, but had never seen them live. Honestly, after (horribly) not truly following the bands music very closely for the past decade or so...and just based on my own prejudices, I figured when I saw them on the 360 tour, that they would be past their prime and one of those bands that would have just be pretty "flat" live. So, I really was expecting very little. That, coupled with the fact that live shows have become so much of a spectacle, especially with the enormous (con't).....
