To fix the middle ground issue and to get your level back, you can upload the level as unlisted (you dont have to verify levels anymore to upload, so this makes it a lot easier) then make a copy of the level that you uploaded, quickly open the editor and take out the middle ground. If you are too slow you will have to repeat the process over again.

For the moving walls on the tower section I was thinking the wall on the left could be slightly shorter so at the end it goes down so you can go through and enter a portal off screen

No way, as soon as 2.2 came out I felt like making a layout level with a synthwave song, which I might eventually decorate in the future, and I found this exact song as well. I was also planning on using a little bit of pixel art, but I could not bring myself to sift through 132 pages of it (yes I counted).
I did a speed build with a mg for like 4 hrs and had no idea why I couldn’t go in and finish it until I watched this LMAO tride always teaching me sun new
I wish someone did a complete, ridiculously long video breaking down level building from the most basic features to all the blocks, then music picking, then crude layout, then all triggers and their most common & advanced usage, then simple decorating and "crafting" Customized deco, then testing, troubleshooting, final tips and finally verifying.
i feel like you should add some form of reverb/echo to the music when you're flying thru the cave at first, and then when the door closes it's like you're inside the source of the music so it's louder also you should call the level "External Escape"
I think it would be a cool transition if after you go through the last teleportal that takes you to the next section, the walls close in the whole section like the trash compactor in Star Wars.

I love how the level is so clean it is actually sight readable. A level that with my skill level I think it could do very soon in the future. Basically the level is pure perfection so far. Keep it up. Ps: when is the next gimic episode?
If you use arrow triggers instead of reverse triggers (but use them the same way) you'll be able to create channels, which means you can set triggers to each different channel rather than just making them touch triggered

Your level looks really good! I see something worrying though. You are using touch triggers when the gameplay direction is changed. This makes it hard to playtest and sync the level to music. I highly recommend learning about channels (no, not color channels). You can use / change them with the rotate gameplay trigger. This makes it so triggers get triggered in correct order. I haven't seen any tutorials about it yet, but the official editor guide does a good job at explaining it.
so for everyone who suffers from the problem with middleground: just upload your level as unlisted and then copy it from your uploaded levels tab. This way you can open the level in the editor and delete the middleground so everything will work fine. pls pin
I think in 2.2 things will develop so much in the long run we can't even imagine what's going to happen, compare early 2.1 to late 2.1, let's see if the same can apply in 2.2. That'd be wild
Its only ~25 secs long meaning its too short to be rated but if tride increases the length by like 30-40 secs, this can certainly be a rate, especially bc its only early 2.2 so standards are still low enough.
