It's a machine that's heavy and big yet it's capable of maneuvering like it's made out of paper it goes to show that engineering is an art in of itself
This is not an airplane it's a space ship. This design could leave orbit and dock with a space station or mothership; This is the future even if it's cgi. Good design!
Actually yeah it might be. In the film it has some bullshit "detonation ramjets" or whatever that allow it to hit mach 5 or something like that. Nowhere near close enough to hit orbit, but it's a good first step. Engines like that, together with copious amounts of rocket fuel, *would* allow a plane to reach ISS in a single stage. You can google Skylon, it uses a system similar to the engines used on this fighter. No room for rockets though I'm afraid.
Wonderful modeling video. ONE day! The movie 'Stealth' actually looked more real but still fun. Tin-man too in the movie, especially when landing in Alaska and the hanger scenes.
Daniel Lare it’s only an early version of a mod I was making for a flight simulator but thank you. I agree the film had some amazing scenes and the jets were beautiful (the reason I decided to start making this was because I loved them so much)
It's an old concept solves the problem of "do you want lift or speed" Mig 23: Yes Advancements like fly by wire have made this fall out of favor long ago. But who knows what the future holds.
Hope the United States decide for this, and go for it in full. It's looks advance agile, and powerful. But need some final touches if they decide to build it.
I worked building the B2....the military only lets you see what they want you to see.....test flights for the B2 were only done at night, in the desert....
Oh I still remember this jet from the movie "Stealth". This jet is WAY ahead of its time and this is what should be a 6th generation jet (we'll see if the Pentagon picks this tab).
It is you, American citizen that is picking the tab, do not fool yourself: Pentagon = armament industry = big money = money rules the world = predatory political economy with DNA of parasite = exporting of 'my way of life" with a drone....
@@tnix80 Actually moving parts aren't that expensive. Making primary surfaces within the design envelope are much harder to make since they are so large in comparison. Being made from composite materials they can't be "bumped" into contour like metals offer.
So they finally brought back the wing wing technology. I have no idea why the Air Force moth balled this technology in the first place. The value of Swing Wing technology is evident in this video.
Derek Van heumen thank you! It’s a jet from a 2005 movie called “stealth”. It didn’t really do well so the film isn’t that well known but I loved the jets from the film so decided to make a mod of them 😁
With the increased computer horsepower available now, it may be time to look into them again. NOT as a variable geometry like this CGI design, but something along the lines of a VASTLY updated Grumman X-29.
The only design issue I see is ground clearance on take off and landing it would have to rely on internal stores only no clearance for hard point mounted items. I am a 3D modeler as well. My models will soon be featured in sky glass flight tracking software. Nice job on this it is sexy
Poor Aerodynamics especially at high speeds around the wing root pivot point . Stealth is also compromised when the wings are extended. Cool looking design but impractical in the real world. That's why a similar experimental design seen flying over Amarillo Texas never made it into production. It was called the "switchblade bomber" a possible replacement for the FB-111 aardvark.
I am working on a flight model for this and i can tell you that the simulated wind tunnel is showing positive aero and the wings in provide stable flight starting at mach .7
No matter how cool looking the design, how radical or how much thrust vectoring an aircraft has, as long as there is a human at the stick, the biomechanical limitations of the pilot will always limit what the aircraft can do. I suspect much of what is being put forth as "NextGen Aircraft is diversionary.
It is a very good concept design in terms of engineering innovation, and I like the change in shape while flying, it looks light but fast beyond imagination, as well as its futuristic colors.

So this is not a frustrated Skunkworks engineer’s discarded project but a digital designers actual work of art. Right? It’s amazing either way. A Klingon “Bird of Prey”, seductive yet brutal. Curious if we’ll see it catapulting off the USS Stennis someday or flying out of Patrick AFB in 10 years.
Awesome plane! It reminds me of a Klingon 'BIRD of PREY' from the 'Star-Trek' franchise. I wonder if there is a pilot in the cockpit or if it is a super cool new drone? Hmm...
@Paul McCluney Now that would be truly awesome! (BTW, I get the potential link to the USS Enterprise especially being the realistic forerunner of all the future 'ships' bearing the same name.)
I have a spare 80mm EDF and this would be a good project for my next RC project sometime next year. But it won't be 15 feet long - more like 4 feet and maybe a meter wide. It's gotta fit in my Honda C-RV with wings attached. And it won't have folding wings or rudders. But it will look cool and something I've not seen anyone else build or fly. My big concern is how well the thrust will port out those rectangular exhaust feathers.
There's a you tube channel, where the guys build weird planes, and test the flight characteristics and abilities. Maybe they can make you one from foam with and electric motor and test it.
The talon will be the future six G fighters and still the composure is somewhat lacking of high achievements purposes And because of the six G will. Be the fighter for the next 30 years it would be wise to build a double seat pilot plane.
Great special effects video...they really wouldn't have any plane doing aerobatics over the top of B2's though...the shadows fail you at the 3 minute mark but other than that...well done!
It's a machine that's heavy and big yet it's capable of maneuvering like it's made out of paper it goes to show that engineering is an art in of itself
The background music was pretty much on point.
That is one badass looking aircraft. Especially with the swept-forward wings geometrically "tucked in."
Too bad it is not real

magnificently beautiful design, absolutely stunning work of art.
Instruments of war is"nt art and art is"nt destructive
In this case the aircraft is purely a fictional design for visual effect only. This machine would probably be totally militarily useless .
