Dhampus village is one of the trending Gurung villages near Pokhara. This place is mostly famous for its mountain view and contains wonderful picnic spots with 360 views of the places around. An hour's ride on a bike from Pokhara is sufficient to reach there. We can also get a taxi and a Public bus from Hari Chowk Pokhara to get there. Trekking is also a good option to reach Dhampus. The road route that I took is from Pokhara to Sarangkot, to Naudada, to Ghatte Khola, and then to Dhampus.
From Dhampus, Australian Camp is an hour Trek away. Australian Camp is not connected by roadway so we don't have the choice apart from trekking to reach there. The best thing about the Australian camp is, that it is not far from Pokhara and the mountain view is amazingly awe-inspiring. The blooming Rhododendron forest view made my journey from Pokhara to the Australian camp worth it. This is one of the must-visit places around Pokhara as we can visit two beautiful places, Dhampus and Sarangkot at once.
