Sousou no Frieren OP - Yuusha - Piano

Hi my nakamas,
Yuusha is my favorite song from Frieren, I'm really a fan of YOASOBI's song.
I tried to work on it as much as possible to get a good result. I also worked on the arrangement to make it as faithful as possible.
There are also accompaniments that could be heard at certain moments in the background that I tried to reproduce but the result wasn't very convincing, so I did'nt keep them for the final version. And for the chorus I didn't play octaves, I don't know why but it's just a feeling. Sometimes I do it, sometimes I think it's better without.

This is awesome! I love this song on piano. I have a suggestion: Snow Noir by Sangatsu no Phantasia. It’s the 2nd ed song of The Irregular at Magic High School Season 3. It’s a shame no one has covered it yet on RUclips because I think its chorus is catchy and I bet it would sound great on piano. P.S. I just recently started trying to teach myself piano with the hopes of also being able to play anime song covers like these one day. How did you learn piano? With a teacher, self-taught, or some combination of the two? Do you have any advice in terms of in what order to learn things, or are there any things that you did that slowed down your learning progress or things you think would have sped it up in hindsight?

Hi Gavin, I've been in the same situation as you. I started playing the piano two years ago because I really liked the anime covers I saw on RUclips and wanted to do the same and I'm self-taught. At first, I began by memorizing the Synthesia videos of song on RUclips, and little by little, I started modifying them, adding notes, and even sometimes figuring out the continuation on my own. I think the hardest part is really separating the right hand from the left hand. For me, what unlocked my ability to attack more complex versions was really playing things that seemed impossible at a slow pace. And little by little, it becomes more and more fluid. Currently, for the majority of songs, I can find the melody easily. But for the accompaniment, I still struggle a bit, so I get inspiration from what I can find on RUclips and I rework it in my own way. I hope my response can help you. As for Magic High School, I haven't watched it yet, but I can take a look at that ending.
