The best radio was the Golden Eagle from the 70,s and early 80,s. I talked all over the world with it, it was the only radio that you could talk on one channel and receive on another channel, but the two radios had to be Golden Eagles. I would. drive quite a few C.B ers crazy because they could only hear one side of the conversation..
@@thomasvittetoe1930 U get a radio to put out 30 watts from 4 and your going to destroy the final and blow the fuse. U can get a 25 watt linear for $75 and turn it on and off as you need it and keep the audio quality.
I own an older 29ltd classic but I absolutely love it!!!!!!

Can I use this radio as a base station?
If you get ones of those take it to a CB and have it peaked and turned to get the most out of it, depending on your antenna you might get 2-4 miles
That’s a plus if you want your conversation to stay local.
@@Thunderstruck951 you’re not going to get much farther on a stock radio
@@thomasvittetoe1930 Just get a linear, peaked and tuned is bullshit. It comes aligned from the factory.
@@RadioRich100 yeah but from the factory it can only be pushing 4 watts, you can get it pushed almost 30 watts turned up
