- With some musical accompaniment from Mr. Yuri Gohen. yurigohen.band... Great stuff. Yep, taking the old T100 around and around. One of these days i'll get some footage of going sideways in the rain on the road. T100 does it well.

When I saw the T100 the first time in your video about it I thought it looked like that one truck from terminator 2
haha, the shortbed S10 with the home made camper shell on the back? hahah, That is a compact little pickup, this guy is a full sized truck. Toyota's first full sized beast. haha, its like twice the size of the s10.

yuri´s voice is great. and i like how you drive like you´re on the field haha you know your truck. much safer than people who drive 30 in the middle of the road. those small curvy roads would be fun with my little opel! whish you a happy new year

That's a really nice sounding S10. T - he he. Always dig your vids, big time, the production originality I presume. Does it matter? Yup! Hi Tom, just enjoying some Sunday afternoon doddle time with a beverage.... Like the key off coast - do that here. Shut the d buggy off way down the street and pull in the shop. Been working/restoring the 87 250sx. Almost done. That one was the best deals so far on the addition purchases. Very low hours/miles evident on the disassemble where very little wear - the seals ride on the sleeves. Dang are them nice machines, all new things to me not to you. Finally being able to walk, really a good thing! Overdrive mode now getting many things done. Thanks again for the manual download option. Would of been guessing at many things on multiple machines, too cheap to buy a ... not good on certain priory things. Hope all good in your neighborhood, big time, lotsa respect for ya.... Cheers!
Hey Jeff! Glad to hear you're up an at it again. :) That's gotta be great after all that time sequestered to seats. Anytime you're messing around on the computer and want to send a picture or two to me of any of the trikes, feel free. :) Can't wait to see some videos of the 250SX. They are some cool efforts of engineering. I'd say they are about the best over all trail trike. The autoclutch lets you go through jungles where you have to duck a lot, and can't really be worrying about feathering a clutch all the time, and the whole torqury shaft drive thing is just great. And just so damn sturdy. Annnd, reverse. :) Can't beat reverse. Thank you sir. :) All the same good wishes back at ya. :) And tons of respect. You're well of knowledge and skill is something i'll never get anywhere close to.
This video proves, i think, the point that you can off road a two wheel drive t100. They are the best pickup trucks.

To a point you can off-road any 2wd.
My two bush trucks are 2wd (f150 / c1500) and they are so light that they float on the surface and don’t break down into the wet stuff.
My good truck a first Gen tundra 4x4 usually needs 4x4 in the areas where the 2x4 do find as a result of being much heavier.
+Hanknation agreed. If the truck is light enough, then you don’t always need 4 wheel drive. If you have a winch on a 2 wheel drive, you can go almost anywhere
For the first many years of the field, we never had a 2wd. Toyota's definitely have that light weight factor going for them, combined with the ability to handle really high Rpms with no issue. And the fact that when you punch it in 2ND gear, spinning the tires, they almost always pull posi. Out first Toyota the 81 2wd pickup, standard bed, was pretty amazing off road. Did have some cool old school 14" rim snow tires on the back. Not matching of course. :)
+tommartyn I got the cylinder heads off of the 1993 T100. I want to keep that truck soooo bad; long bed, single cab, 4 wheel drive and rebuilt engine and tranny. Hell, it’s got a topper AND a custom ladder rack! My folks don’t think it’s wise with 400,000 miles, but it’s the perfect work truck so argh! I got a replacement radiator, OEM Toyota head gaskets and cam seal, timing component and water pump kit, the works! I am not gonna replace the head bolts; that’s a wise idea! ;)
Nice! Did you have the heads checked by a machinist to make sure they aren't warped? The transmission being rebuild is good, but the engine, was the whole bottom end rebuilt? I had to do a new radiator when i got mine. It always makes me so happy when a radiator is about $65 with free shipping. :) Thats one of the really great things about living when we do. Some things like that are so easy and cheap.

It really is. It's such a huge version of a little Toyota pickup truck. And those things are like little sports cars. I'll have to get some good footage of going sideways with it some day. Need a little bit of rain.

People say things like that are so underpowered how can you have fun with them, i love driving slow stuff because you can still have so much more in slow cars
Nice. Yeah, slow things are really fun. I'm sure that challenger is pretty fun. That new microvan we got is only 780? CC, and i think it around 43hp. So fun. And i miss driving my 86 Diesel jetta on the road, 52hp. Sadly front wheel drive, but at least it was a manual.

Hey tom I just got a pullstart for my 1983 185s and was wondering if you knew what size the bolts are the ones that mount the pullstart onto the motor
Glad you got one! :) So they are 6mm by 1.0 pitch. 18mm long. No problem man. I really like it when I buy a trike, and its got the right bolts holding the pullstart on. :) I always try to make sure mine have those, basic shaped ones at least. Even if the ones i find in my bin are a little longer.
tommartyn for sure also I know your a 3 wheeler guy but what’s your opion on the old 80s quad runner 250 4x4 I know I saw one on the page a while back racing a 200x I’m picking up one tomorrow so was wondering what your opinion on theam is
Well... All i can say is, Mike bought a really dumpy LT2504wd one time, and it gave us nothing but carb problems, and a few u joints went bad. And i think the last time it worked, it didn't charge, and very strangely needed a charged battery to have spark. Which is really odd for an ATV or three wheeler. Usually they have their own specific ignition stators, that have nothing to do with the 12v system at all. The suzuki was comfortable though. With the really worn out fully independent suspension.

Yeah, they are pretty amazing machines. Was your setup similar to mine? regular cab 2.7 inline with the 5 speed, 2wd?

haha, well, there are a couple of things about that. First off, the idea of "cold start" videos is pretty mind boggling to me. I know youtube is filled with pointless things, but the cold start videos... I will never in my life understand. My guess is somewhere in the early years of youtube, a few people maybe in very very cold climates started their cars, and it was slightly interesting because of the intense, far below freezing temperature. But still, only SLIGHTLY interesting. And then young kids started getting computers, and joining youtube, and with their totally undeveloped understanding of mechanical things, and what is important or impressive, started this trend towards watching, and asking for, and eventually making their own, cold start videos. Which it self evolved into just people starting their cars... Not warmed up... Which... I mean seriously.... in the dictionary, they should definitely use the idea of a cold start video as an example for the definition of 'Pointless, or without meaning or value'. It really bothers me. haha. It just became a thing for no reason, and people just mindless went with it like, Oh yeah, its a cold start. What? seriously WHAT? Its just an engine starting up. Every car/truck has been fuel injected since at least the VERY early 90's, most vehicles from the late 80's. So everything, just starts up. They just crank, start, and run. Its dumb. If everything was still carbureted and had manual chokes and stuff, and SOMETHING was happening, if the person was putting in SOME effort, or difficulty in starting it, having to pump the gas a lot to make the accelerator pump squirt extra gas down the intake to help it start before they cranked it... SOMETHING. Just anything. Just anything other then the fact that it became part of online video society for people to make truly meaningless videos of just starting up vehicles that weren't warmed up yet. OR old diesel's! They are hard to start when its actually cold out, sometimes. Not all of them. haha, ok i'm done ranting. I just think there should be meaning behind something.
Oh, but also, my truck was probably already warmed up from driving it out to the field a little earlier, AND it was running before i decided to put the camera up and film it. The only reason i would have left the starting the engine part, would be to make a better story out of the video. Starting with it cranking, and ending with me taking the key out. Would have been some nice book ends for the video. But just to actually see it start? There isn't anything to see. It just starts. hahah, I really want to start a campaign to END cold start videos. Unless there is a real reason, like an old diesel truck in cold winter, or a regular vehicle in like negative 20 degrees, or a pretty old car, from the 60's or older, starting in the winter after sitting for a week or something. Because carburetors get difficult over time.
tommartyn hm. Ok. I also noticed that you didn’t lock your doors. Aren’t you afraid if someone were to steal some items or even the truck itself?
haha, no, of course i'm not afraid of that. I was in someones driveway. But either way, i never lock my doors. Keys always i the ignition, and usually the truck is running if i go into a place. I'm not a paranoid person. And a dented up 2wd 96 T100 with a wooden roll bar, isn't really a big catch for car thieves. :) I Don't even have a key that fits the drivers door lock cylinder come to think of it...

What the T100? Been cruising that awesome beast since 2015. :) pretty awesome driving a full sized truck with a 4 cyl and a 5 speed. 150HP, it's pretty damn great. A giant Toyota pickup basically.

@@Tony-ml5bs it's supposed to get around 19-21, I get about 17-19. Does ok for a full sized truck. Especially from the 90's.

Yeah! :) To be fair, an 80's Chevy pickup with a a 305 is about 180hp maybe? Maybe a little less. Haha, so pretty happy to have a 150hp 4cyl that can go 300K miles no problem. :) Kinda love it. Might drive her tonight.

Ahh, haha, gotcha. :) I just had enough footage this time to make it worthwhile as a stand alone video. Still daily driving this beast, and really loving it. Up to 233K miles now.
