I just have been to Varkala beach last november on holidays to India. My parents are from near Varkala town. I just stayed there on night at a resort on the cliff. Enjoyed the night there though I was solo traveler. Greetings from Belgium
I am from the state of Assam. Stayed in kerala for 2 years for University. And this was my favourite spot to relax. More specifically in Little Tibet. Your video just relaxed me.
Imo Varkala is the beach/beach town in mainland India/South Asia. Much better than Goa, which is way too commercialized. Varkala has a more mellow and Bohemian vibe.
Lakshadweep Islands have better beaches but it's not developed yet.
We have to agree we did enjoy it more than goa ☺️

My place is about 30kms from varkala, and usually I cycle to varkala on the weekends, enjoy the views and go back! Its so lively and peaceful there! Glad you guys enjoyed there!!!!

You should visit Ladakh, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Meghalaya, Sikkim, Lakshadweep Islands, Arunachal Pradesh, Parvati Valley, Spiti Valley, Sangla Valley, Lahaul Valley, Sonamarg, and Pahalgam next in India. These are the most beautiful parts of the country.

Kerala also has some hidden gems that tourists don't usually visit. Western Ghats have some of the most beautiful places on earth.
Let them decide where to visit. It isn't a problem as long they like the places and people. Especially the way they are treated in a civilized manner and the safety that's on offer. You ignored Kerala from your list. Shows your jealousy.

You should visit Kaapil beach, there is a logoon there, the lake meets the ocean there and on one side of the road is the lake and the other the ocean. And this coast is on the deeper end of the Indian Ocean and because of the lagoon nearby, the under currents are unimaginable, hence the lifeguard and local fishermen there are very alert specially during high tide and monsoon. Hope you enjoy your stay..

Thing with the clay pot is it keeps cold things cold and hot things hot.. like a natural thermostat.. and the clayey flavour which either you love it or hate it..

The reason for restricted beach access is when you have cross opposite waves and it’s difficult to come out of it, it can drag you into the sea.
There are south Indian food restaurants even in the US and Canada and its popular
Hello Chase and Shelbs. I saw your video cover with "Varkala" written on it. I went right away click on to watch your video. I have just been there couple of weeks ago. It was no idea traveling in Kerala for a vacation with my hubby. We had no clue to go when we reached Kerala. But thankfully I checked on RUclips and found this beach city called "Varkala". We had only 2-3 days to spend our last day of vacation and luckily we reached there by all means. Varkala is such a beautiful beach place and there are other beaches also. By the way we stayed just so close to Varkala beach. It is called Mother Tree Resort. Their host is a wonderful person and i really appreciate his help all through out just to give us a wonderful time in short period. You both have a lovely and healthy stay where ever you go. And yeah! One more thing to say is that the restuarant you guys thought owned by Tibetan which is not. Our Tibetan flags are very liked by all kinds of people and it attracts people to have peace and happiness which is true. I think the owner is a Nepalese or some other but not Tibetan that I know.Lastly, you did a good bargain there on shirt. Love from US Minnesota.

You should also visit some non touristy towns in India. Maybe central india where there are a lot of wildlife sanctuaries

Try some trekking / hiking there are so many eco- tourism destinations in kerala

Try to see if there is a Kalaripayattu (Kerala's martial arts) show somewhere there ... pretty interesting to watch. Any local travel agency should be able to guide you that. These martial arts schools may pass around a small donation box [perhaps 200-300 Rs if you liked the show ... this is not part of the ticket prices] for their show to fund their students who literally live in those schools for many years (sort of like what you see in 36 chambers of shaolin). As for the ayurvedic massages that you see all over Kerala ... some of them are outright scams (my experience at the low-end massage places), but apparently there are some real gems to be found (but at the higher end prices).

-Definitely try Kerala Porotta with beef as beef is consumed here and seafood too.
Also try the traditional meal served on banana leaf
-Aleppy backwaters houseboat experience and
-Munnar tea plantation (also habing the highest leak in South India) with spice gardens and homemade tasty chocolates are two MUST VISIT spots in Kerala....
-also the Lulu International mall, largest mall in South India
Sadhya( traditional meal)is the main of kerala. I suggest you all to try pathiri and pork curry. It is good to eat spicy pork but if u dont like spicy try duck curry and its made in different flavours❤❤❤😊
