Elvin Bishop sure can bring out some funky grooves. He does country, blues, funk, rock and soul so well. Great performance. I saw Elvin Bishop 3 times live and met him. Cheers! ✌️

That's a tight, rocking band, especially the twin harmony lead guitars, which was a popular sound in 1970s blues rock and Southern rock. It must have taken tons of practice to play those parts live. Impressive musicianship.

Mickey Thomas (Later of Jefferson Starship) actually sang "Fooled Around and Fell In Love". Many Radio DJ's were angered when they found out Elvin Bishop had fooled them & everyone into thinking that he(Bishop) was the actual singer. That song should have been released as Mickey Thomas backed by the Elvin Bishop Band. (Yes, I know and realize that Mickey was in the band).

“Johnny “V” Vernazza. Lions and Thieves. Johnny "V" has played guitar with many Blues greats like Chicago guitarist Luther Tucker, Sunnyland Slim, Rock& Roll Legend Chuck Berry, Steve "Guitar" Miller, Greg Allman , George Thorogood, Charlie Daniels , Commander Cody & the Lost Planet Airmen and Elvin Bishop to name a few ...”

@RichardBurr-Houston I used to work with Johnny at a day job in Vista, almost a decade ago. At the time, I never knew how famous he really was, because he was absolutely 100% down to earth. A kinder man would be very hard to find.

I saw Elvin Bishop at the Waterfront Blues Festival in Portland several years ago ... he put on a great show.
