They always remained close especially Mike and Don. He was only 21 originally in the Dan and even as a Doobie Mike kept going back recording on Gaucho in 1980 after he won Grammy's with the Doobie Brothers and later when the band split and Don was doing his solo live projects - Rock & Soul Review and Dukes of September... Mike was there.
Saw Fagan, McDonald and Boz Scaggs, "Boy's of Summer" : Santa Barbara County Bowl a few years back... like this, an incredible melding of voices, lyrics and instruments ! Thank you for the music !
