    Loving feedback Fridays🤍 I’m a neck to neck girlie! And I’ll rip a cluster or quad out in a quickness and if I can’t rip it out one cut will do the trick.

    @AB4UbyLeLe Год назад +3

    I’ve tried all these techniques. I mostly use fishing line or 260’s. I do neck ties sometimes when I need to move the quads around to shape my garlands. I think 260 is my fav.

    I prefer to use the 260’s as well. I find that I use A LOT of fishing line. Typing the necks together actually shrink my clusters especially when I’m making a full garland or covering an entire backdrop stand. I usually have to make more clusters. The 260’s allow me to manipulate/adjust the balloons as I need to.

    • @YesEventDecor
      @YesEventDecor  Год назад

      Thank you for that feedback. I can definitely see how you need more clusters when you tie the necks together.

    I started out using the tape, and tried the fishing line, but now I use the 260's and neck to neck. It's easier to use the neck to neck when you are using the good quality balloons - the cheaper stuff are not as flexible and they're harder to tie

    • @YesEventDecor

      That’s a very good point!

    I like your explanation, you are so transparent. It is true thefirst time I tried I really found it so hard . Yes you can’t undo them . Others artists will tell you it is easy to undo .

    I also started with fishing line , then switched to 260 . Just started with neck to neck, it was a little bit difficult at the beginning. I see less gap with the neck to neck

  • @islandangel

    I’ve tried them all. I prefer 260s as well. Tying necks saves money on 260s but fingers get really sore if doing a really large garland. Also, neck tying creates calluses on the first knuckle joints of my fingers ☹️ , which I don’t care for.

    • @YesEventDecor
      @YesEventDecor  Год назад +1

    IF you have enough neck length, it looks more together (less gaps) to tie by the necks (BAD for my arthritic hands). The fishing line is fine, but it can tangle up within balloons, which causes popping of balloons. I prefer 260s, which allows for easier attachment and rearranging of the balloons.

    • @YesEventDecor

      That is very true! There’s less gaps when you tie the necks together. But even with that, I still prefer 260s.

    Hi! I've mainly been like you and using 260's! I do like the idea of neck tying and that it keeps from having to use additional materials. I've only tried it on portions of garlands here and there just to see if i could do it and so that if they ripped apart the whole garland would not be ruined but they were fine 😂. Fearing that the garland will rip apart at an event from neck tying is a huge fear even though i haven't seen anyone complain that it has happened. Also, your online course is awesome! Thank you. I definitely recommend it. God bless!

    I learned that quality balloons allow for easier neck-tying. Its still a challenge.
    260s are forgiving, but I have to practice not doing them so tightly that the garlands curl up (Am I the only one?)
    I haven tried fishing line, but I did try curling ribbon.
    Too much tug and *snap* there goes your garland... broken string.😩

  • @ms.b.967
    @ms.b.967 Год назад

    I definitely prefer tying neck to neck, I get fewer gaps in my garlands but as I get older, I'm needing my fingers to stop being so sore for days after an install 😂 so 260's it is whenever possible. If I need to really move a section, all I have to do is snip 1 neck at most, using the necks, instead of trying to unravel the 260's. But all methods work well (except fishing lines, they still pop my balloons if I'm not extra careful)

  • @ashleysampson02

    I don’t really think you’re more advance using neck to neck. Neck to neck causes gaps and give you more work by having to add more balloons. I started neck to neck. And I’m slowly transitioning to 260’s. It’s way too much work to have to add to fill gaps after tying necks. When I have to add more balloons to my base that’s when I use neck to neck

    • @YesEventDecor
      @YesEventDecor  Год назад

      Very interesting. I guess it’s not advanced for you since that’s what you started with. How do you like using 260’s?
