I SEE MY SCHOOL OVER ON THE LEFT
K train hasn't been around since 1988. Interesting to see it right after A.
Orange S was for the 6th Avenue/63rd Street Shuttle which ran from 21st Street Queensbridge to 2nd Avenue
and for Piggy Pike....what is now the S Rockaway Pk Shuttle.....used to be the H Rockaway shuttle.....and to go back even further.......before the TA eliminated the double letter designations....it was the HH Rockaway line....operating from Euclid Ave to Lefferts Blvd....or from Broad Channel to the Rockaways......and to go back even further....the ORIGINAL HH line....ran from Court/Schermerhorn Sts (site of the NYC Transit Museum) to Hoyt/Schermerhorn Sts....from 1936 to 1946 (today the Hoyt/Schermerhorn tracks are occasionally used for Movie/Tv filming)
R train outside holy shit... lol
This one's for Mr.Garcia.......shortly after delivery....the R68s were on the F line...albeit briefly....back in the days when the Manhattan Bridge tracks were closed by DOT..... and the car washes at Coney Island and Concourse Yards were down....R68s from the D line were swapped to the F line for a day or 2 at a time.....the cars were then washed in Jamaica Yard....and returned to the D line
0:55 the V train is back!!!!!!! Lol, nice video, nice to see some roll signs on the R68
0:55
0:53
As simple as this video is - I enjoyed every moment during the scroll. Esp seeing the K
Listen another terminating sound effect. It's damn loud. 6:00
Yellow S was for the Broadway/63rd Street shuttle that ran from 21st Street Queensbridge to 57th Street/7th Avenue
The 63rd street shuttle was an orange (S). Not yellow.
@@Thunderbolt_7026 there were two 63rd Street shuttles. One for 6th Avenue, another for Broadway. Reread, I said Broadway/63rd Street, not 6th Avenue/63rd Street. Broadway is yellow.
How do they change the rollsign?
o jesus! @ 0:15, K line!!
ThePandaTrain7 0:15
(K) line
What happens when it was old?
i just spotted the R160 N Train from the reflection spotted at the r68a not in server train
0:55
Dah V it’s dah V!
There’s no JFK Express on there. JFK Express was “Take the train to the plane”.
how many S prints train do they have
SaulRod11345758 they have yellow, orange, blue, and grey. They also used to have a red and green S train in the 70's
SaulRod11345758 so six S prints.....
..........that I know of
I will love the F train to have r68 before they retired
I don't think so. R68 doesn't run on the F line. It only has most R160s.
Impossible now with the QBL having CBTC.
When the R68s first arrived a few actually did run in F service....but only because the car wash at CI yard was down...individual trains were removed from CI yard....put in F service....and washed at Jamaica Yard....then sent back to CI yard.....this was back in the days when there were different B and D routes due to repair work on roadways above Manhattan Bridge tracks
Why is not in service?
I have one of these roll signs and they are very tedious to scroll through. 5 million turns barely makes it budge. 😅
cool it changes in cony liland
Miss spell at the end.
Scrolling...
Complete!
1:04 Sounded like a snare from the other MTA Train!
LOL
Please do the C train please
Cool low-tech signs ftw!
01:29 The W TRAIN!!!!!!!lol
R68As usually have W Trains.
1:29
1:04 Listen
Wow they have all those letters?
They have a lot of lines. Most of the letters are used. Some were used in the past and some are there for future possible use.
WAIT THEY STILL HAVE THE V ROLLSIGN!? THE V WAS DISCOTNINUED!!!!!!!!!!
V is returning!? :o dun dun dun
no they have the rollsign for any train that used an R46
Daniel Smith R46 scrolls horizontally. It’s just really difficult to remove anything from the signs.
and in case you're wondering.....I'm a buff....AND a retired motorman
U do?
How do you change the front rollsign?
@@RapidTransitFan open sash panel in front cab...crank sign to desired route....I used to have fun....whenever I'd do a shop drag...I'd put a JFK Express sign in front....did the same in IRT....would put a #8, #11,#12. ....if I did a shop drag with R32 or R38 cars...would put any number in front
I thought the letter was stickers
no letters j, l, m and z?
There is no need for those letters on this train. The train model shown in the video, the R68, is 75-feet long and is not allowed on these lines. The curves that J, L, M, and Z lines navigate are sharp, and so 75-feet cars are prohibited from running there.
Back in the '70s, when the MTA was ready to order the R44 and R46 (the first 75-foot trains), the MTA rebuilt an old train as a test 75-foot train. On a curve, it hit a building. Then in 1976, on America's Bicentennial, a special R46 train ran on the M line. Trains were held up at the Williamsburg Bridge curves, to prevent the special train from hitting another train.
@@GojiMet86 That's right.
SaulRod11345758 4 bullets (blue for Rockaway, orange for 63rd Street/6th Avenue, yellow for 63rd Street/Broadway, and gray as the regular)
I'm the only one who thought he was running at the end???
"H" train? No such thing ever? I know there was a K a V and a W at one time. an H? cant find any info on it.
H is an old designation for the Rockaway Shuttle.
When heacane sandy came they had the (H) train
HH was used back in the 60s as the Rockaway Shuttle. It ran between the Rockaway terminals round-robin style to Euclid Avenue. The single letter H was used in the 80s briefly before becoming the Rockaway (S).
They put that H and K, in case they ever came back. The H came back in 2012, but that H used R32 and R46 trains, not the R68 like in this video.
I think r68 N train turn into r68 B train
Major foam here
68s on the apple? I cant think of a more terrible nightmare at least for train crews anyway.
Never seen a K or H train O:
Menchitah those are old trains
daytona500iscool, K Train isn’t used anymore. The H Train was still in used back in 2014.
R68 V Train
No wonder why the NYC subway is so f'ed up, they can't even use the alphabet in order.
what does that have to do with anything
tryithere Who cares?
tryithere They organized it by route color. It's not unorganized.
Listen the terminating sound in 1:05.
Antonio Monetti Yes.
@Team Epiphany Tyler No, I'm talking about entering the station, and make the last stop.
@Team Epiphany Tyler Its not an emergency brake. It's really the terminating sound.
@@arielgonzalez5296 it is the emergency brakes
@@the_cortelyou_boi sure. It was indeed so louder.
It looks cool
1:54 is that a RED Q TRAIN OR ORANGE
Orange. The Q was orange (6th Avenue) from 1988 to 2001.
That’s right! It was the orange Q local train, but there’s the yellow Q train.
R188 5 train is today
And sorta funny
What Not In Service Train This Is The Worst Train Driver Ever
R142 5 train is put of service
Running on the D line
open the fucking door please
That subway car needs it’s meds.
Multiple personality issues.
There is no K H yellow S and blue S and red V F B D Q S why is there that there is none of those trains and the H train retired so why did it say that
Kevin Cavey it has those routes because the MTA does not care to remove old train lines
Kevin Cavey the yellow s used to be used for the Franklin avenue shuttle.
Kevin Cavey blue used to run on the far rockaway shuttle. But then they changed all shuttle trains the grey S
Kevin Cavey the Yellow s train also was used as a "Special" train
There sill Q trains,there were V K H trains before
Shit look how fast that siemens pulled out of Coney Island
