The struggle is real. Thanks for showing things how they really are.
Most lawn mower clutch PTO won't work if a battery dead.
Even if you jump them
I've never even heard of these electric clutches on a tractor till about 2 weeks ago when my buddy asked me to find him one for his cub . then I see your video about it ,which make me happy I have a 43 year old case 222 which is simple tech.
I always look forward to your new videos. Eric I love how you have a stock old school wrecker with minor off road upgrades. Keep up the great work
Eric, a master cylinder from an 88 to I think 92 Cadillac that has four wheel disc brakes is just the master cylinder you need as they have large cavities for enough fluid to keep you from getting air in the system.
You should order a 2nd set of belts for the wrecker since they don't stock them. You can't be down waiting on parts.
Dont take the truck oeners comments personally, sounds like he is having a bad day and was mad at life. You did right by telling him. ❤❤❤❤
Get a matched set and put that single hydro belt behind the seat for emergency if you ever loose both. But matched sets work a lot better because they are matched together at the same size. Not all belts are the exact same length unless it’s a matched set.
Seat over is becoming quite the mechanic.
Next time you do belts, order what's called a banded belt it's two belts joined as one, I had a knuckle boom on a super duty with a hydro pump under the hood and it worked the best to keep from spitting the belt off
Thumbs up, great video, your hair is back to the normal look, looking forard to the adventures on mermorial day weekend
I had to put a new clutch on my old JD 316 once. It fought me all the way. Especially the air gap.
How you like that 420. I bought a 316 last year. Tractor was made in 86 but engine came up as a 79 but it ended up being a check the gas fill the oil engine so i did a small engine warehouse repower kit so i have a 23hp briggs instead of 16hp onan. Getting all the kinks worked out. I bought a 30 hydraulic tiller that im fixing up and have 50" deck and single stage blower ( wont use the blower since got blade on big tractors) ive 80% rewired it my way as no pto or dash lights. Still gotta finish that up. But im too busy right now for my 4 days a month since a trk driver. Glad wrecker just needed minor maintenance
Sometimes mechanical things can be very frustrating. But I guess, being a mechanic, you already know this. LOL!!! Hang in there and keep making these videos!!😃
You should use a little lube on your doors and hood hinges. Hell use it on every moving part Eric. 😊
Let's see group on a farm a general motors technician of many years I would never question your ability with anything 😎 nothing but love and respect my friends!!
Great video as always.
Thanks for making
When I commented on the last video with lawnmower I was just trying to be helpful. I was not trying to upset you. Also thought any comment pays extra... Please accept my apology ...
Interesting , Thank You . Pms is good .
Thought you got a lift after Matts off road games, Been a while, I must have missed what happened.
The lawn always screws ya,many other jobs to do but that is always the Lex Luther!!!
I hope you can afford and take time to get a doubler for the wrecker. it could really need one. I would have priorities that over blondie since you are always using the wrecker
keep the clips coming
Thanks Eric.
Just use a battery Charger (Old Style) to test the Electric clutch It'll click when energized and you will not be able to move either Half. it is Configured the same as an AC compressor Clutch.
P.s. Did You clean the Windshield ? HAHAHAHAHA
LOLI love watching your else contact.I think I know where you've got the name of this video
There’s a lot of rude and obnoxious people out there that are in their own little minds anybody that curses you out because you try to help him out you can’t fix him you did the right thing by letting him know but don’t let it bother you because he’s ignorant he didn’t do his walk around did he
He’s just an ornery cuss
You can lead a horse to water but you can’t make him drink
Always always let people know when something bad can happen cause it could hurt the innocent 💯👍👏✊🇺🇸
Sorry to say it was the happiest day of my life to get rid of my John Deere I bought a Ferris and it’s a limousine compared to the John Deere
Zero turn baby zero turn
Have you put the power steering idler pulley pushing on the back of the V belt? If so this may be why they are not lasting long. Belts are not made to flex that direction and can prematurely wear from that.. Apparently you can get twin sided V belts though that are designed for this. Also where idler is (pull side of belt vs push side of belt) can make a difference too. (least from what have read). Been reading on that to know what to take into account how Im going ot redo some belt routing on my big truck
Are you sure? That's exactly how older lawnmower clutches work, pressure on the back side of the belt. Also the green belts are industrial not automotive segmented v belts.
That's what I was gonna say.
@@madmodifieroh, and I believe those belts run the pump for the wrecker
@@chrisbetter9806 Yep they do.
@@madmodifier yep Im sure ... based on engineer stuff I read.... lawn mower belts are looser than automotive.... stiffer the belt... (like industrial type) iMHO the greater the problem. What was on there was also not segmented.... wonder if the segmented in this case would actually be better so the belt could better flex from idler's push in that direction??? Time will tell.
If one belt came off of the hydraulic pump pulley, something isn't quite lined up 100%, which @13:39 you seem to notice. Good luck on that ^%@# John Deere!
The idler pulley looks very crooked. That is why he had to shim it.
What happened to the left front fender on the wrecker. The headlight got pushed in.
12:11 this comment is to help you beat that darned algorithm.
Great video
Need some/ more better lights up front , Eric...👀💡
G'day guys
Where Eric said I give up on this?Who go back to working on the record
Add a little lube to your door hinges.
belts it is the miles
My neighbor claimed he blew up his mower, it was the electric clutch bearing seized . Another friend claimed her mower had quit mowing and then it wouldn't start. I asked how old the battery was, six years old. She was shocked when I said the battery was shot. We all learn a lot from different people and at 70, almost, I'm not afraid of learning.
Poor old mower lol
Don't you change the oils on the wrecker when you are looking it over?
I change oil when it is dirty and doing general maintenance. I look a truck over to inspect for worn or broken parts; prevents failure on the trail. Two different purposes and jobs.
Lube ,oil,fuel 😢
Don't forget to clean the windshield......
You need to get a camera fitted to doggo for a different point of view!
Where is the other dog?
🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 are for the great video.13:05
