- Dear Viewer
Following the launch of the first of the Road Train series of trucking documentaries, there was a demand for a follow up. The first road train video achieved significant success with distribution and sales in Australia, New Zealand and Europe. I was approached by a European production house and sold Nederland's rights of the video and it was remade in Dutch.
This video, Road Train II, was filmed during the mid 1990s and was launched in 1997. As with others in the 'Classic' series, this program was re-released on DVD in 2012. Contents and time codes:
3:10: UTO six trailer road train pulls ore from McArthur River Mine to Bing Bong Port near Borroloola;
9:40: Chasing the Seasons: We travel with Wyoming Transport's Clarrie Hayden and his 610 hp Mack pulling six decks of cattle near Hughenden in NW Queensland;
18:30: Naming the Buntine Highway after the late father of the modern road train operation, the late Noel Buntine;
24:40: The Big Lift - a multiple prime mover 450 tonne heavy lift through Central Australia;
27:00: His Own Way - travelling with the late Eddie Holland and wife Julie down the Stuart Highways. This is one of the few profiles of this real character of Outback Australia;
36:40: Desert Fuel Hauler - Mitchell Fuels in Western Australia was at the cutting edge of the introduction of quad road trains with tri-axle drive prime movers in this desert fuel run.
Please enjoy, with regards, Bruce (Honeywill)

Really awesome video thank you for sharing this with us 🙋♂️🇬🇧
Seen it many times, always fascinating again ... very impressive and beautiful, all the Road Trains. I think the other brands are also very good robust vehicles, but when I see the many Mack's, their reputation as tough workhorses is no coincidence. Especially the older ones with the V8. My respect to the drivers, there is something involved. Greetings from a southern German Bulldog fan
Thanks Bruce, brings back some fond memories.
Thanks a lot for uploading these! Very much appreciated
Eddie got me with the “water spray” bulldog on the front of his Mack. Never thought I’d fall for a trick like that haha. We miss him.
Here I thought I was a real trucker wtf been driving for 35 years and I still don't think I'm as good as these guys. They are the real truckers..
I just bought a 02 Mack Vision 475 in it
I was the first ever to drive the first ever Mack Titan that had the 575 in it
Biggest guttless fucking heap of shit ever
I would like to see this on a non Big Tech platform.
