Great Video!!! We have been looking to make our own grinder But I couldn't find the right Video !!!! This Video has Exactly what we wanted To see for our Operation!!! God Bless
i feel like i just struck gold, i cant believe you dont have a bazillion subscribers!! i posted this video to my facebook ... i used to work at a cotton mill, this reminds me of when we used to do frame changes, those pulley wheels were heavy suckers
Thanks! We figure less than 3.75 for soybean meal per 50# batch using our corn verses 13.99 per 50# bag of meat bird feed at Rural King. A huge savings.
Thanks! I think most farms back in the day had hand shellers, grinders similar to this and fan mills for cleaning seed. I'm still looking for a fan mill. Thanks for watching and commenting. I watch all of your videos but mostly on Roku and don't usually have time to fire up the computer and comment. Keep up the good work!
Hi Red Dutchess Farm, Great video. Really enjoyed it. So much I have liked it and subscribed to your channel. I particually like at 1:00 were we saw you motorise the feed grinder. The hand sheller at 5:00 was great also to see. The livestock sure eat alot of feed. I thought you put the point across well. I was as I was growing up raised on a mixed farm of arable, pigs and beef. Like yourself I like sharing skills and knowledge. I have had apprentices and young people work with me passing on my knowledge. To share some of my knowledge I have set up my own you tube channel. You should check out. Well many thanks for a great video. Keep the good work up. Look forward to future videos.
what all can be ground with that particular grinder, Im looking to start making my own chicken feed but with more than just corn, I want to be able to feed chucksm and layers alike
We grind everything- corn, oats, sunflower seed, wheat, etc. Corn seems to be the hardest of all the things we have ground with it. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Should not have to do anything for many years. When it eventually wears down it looks like it can be resurfaced with a welder using a hard surface rod. Thanks for watching and commenting! Have a great day!
Yes! welding in Crocs! i love it , sweet grinder too

And..... it works great! Not fast. It takes about 25 minutes to grind 50# of oats. Thanks for watching and commenting!
