  • We're First Aid Kit and we're a sisters-duo from Sweden. In the summer of 2008 we did this cover of "Tiger Mountain Peasant Song" by Fleet Foxes.
    We went out in the forest this morning and recorded this cover of the wonderful song "Tiger Mountain Peasant Song" by Fleet Foxes, our favourite band right now. We saw them live this weekend in Sweden and it was absolutely amazing. If you get a chance to see them live don't hesitate for a second!

      Most young artists 'mature' and change.
      These girls already had it from the start.

    I found this song when I was a teenager. Now I’m 32, I have children, and every once and awhile I find myself back here listening to this track. I showed it to someone I loved who passed away, I’ve lost best friends, I’ve lost family, and this song remains here. A monument. It hold such an immense weight over me, and I’ll be honest, I’d never heard the original before finding this, and can’t find the same poignance in that track in comparison to this recording. This is a song I hope is played at my own funeral. It’s seen me through so much loss, so much growth, shit, so much life in general.

      Came here for a similar reason. Gen Z on TikTok is obsessed with this era of music and style and fashion at the moment….. and it feels so weird to be seeing it all over the internet again. The books I read at that age, the music…. So much is “cool” again and it’s honestly been hard to see and is making me step off the internet. Like damn….. where did the time go?
      A friend I used to listen to this with hasn’t talked to me in ten years despite me reaching out and asking what went wrong. A time before so many people I love died, and when I had so much hope for the future and all the adventures I’d have. It’s bittersweet to look back.

    They are Swedish but sing fantastic in English. Now I wonder if they do any songs in Swedish. Loved these two the first time I heard them. They join Lorde and London Grammar as my new groups to like over the past several years.

      They've inspired a Swedish monster that's catching up to them in leaps and bounds. Students do eventually overshadow masters.

      @TheVThakur 10 лет назад +1

      Yeah...lets hope so...because if they do, then we'll be listening to some outstanding music from both of them. Both will try to outdo each other, which would inspire them to make better music.

      Vikrant Thakur Haha, and to think they were almost held down by one of the members of Fleet Foxes. He told them not to drop out of school to pursue music because they'd "always have other chances" I'm fucking glad they didn't listen.

      I'v found alot of cool bands just by listening to you tube recommendations aswell.
      I love Fleet Foxes so much though, I stumbled upon them a few years ago and ever since i have listened to them everyday.

    My sister and I were 13 and 18, respectively, when we first discovered this song. We both had completely different music tastes but we both shared this video with each other, saying “I think you’d like this”. We’ve seen them live, met them (on accident), and bonded together over their music. I love you Miranda. Thanks for being the Klara to my Johanna. Lord knows I can’t hit Klara’s notes.

    FAK has come a long way, Klara and Johanna have been a major part of my life for almost a decade now. It is good to hear this again. The perfect 2 part harmony in the woods recorded by a tiny go-pro or iphone or something. But I especially like Johanna's little eye roll at the end, As if she thought it wasn't that good. It was so good. A gift, indeed.

    My college roommate shared this video with me all the way back in 2008 when we returned for fall semester. We sang duets all the time and this video reminds me of harmonizing with her; how easy it was, how much fun we had, and the beauty of life I had forgotten that she helped me see.
    Diehls if you see this somehow you’re still the absolute best and always will be. You saved my life that year and you were the best friend I had in all my time up north. It’s been ages but I’d trust you with my life today just like I did then. I still have the BDB playlist you made me- bangers and classics, every single track 🔥💯🥲
