I just ordered this watch as a birthday present to myself, and this video makes me think that mine will also have a leather strap... looks great! Also... thanks for including your wrist size. I'm also 6 1/2" so it was useful to me.
Great watch for family gatherings, picnics at the park, and an afternoon of appointments, but be sure to arrive early by your watch., or you'll be late.
Nice review! I also like this watch. I think it looks so much better and cleaner than the 017. However, there are a few things I dislike: 1. The case is a tad too thick, at least 1 or 2 mm in my opinion 2. The unsigned crown looks cheap. I really don't understand why they woudn't do better 3. The clasp has too few micoadjustments and there are no halflinks. That drives me crazy. Leather is actually a good idea - but I really like how it looks on the beacelet. But still I like wearing this watch. I guess I'll keep it.
I was under the impression that the extra thickness lies in the domed crystal. Worst of all three is the bracelet, which is no surprise being Seiko. At least it should be possible to opt-out the bracelet, choose some integrated rubber or leather, and go for an Uncle Seiko bracelet. They keep cutting corners because they can, not because they have to. Just enough to keep competitors on their toes.
@@psbretonesIt's mostly the caseback that adds to the thickness. The bracelet is quite good in my opinion (at least compared to those of cheaper Seikos). If it wasn't for the missing adjustment options... But having other options would still be great.
I used to be a big fan of Seiko, but they have lost the plot. Just "inventing" a "luxury line" doesn't make them that. They're just mass produced and more often than not poorly finished off the shelf cheap watches (don't get me started on my Prospex Samurai 'Save the Oceans' with the poorly aligning bezel). The original SARB017 was awesome. Now you have to pay twice the price for half the quality for the rebranded cows they're trying to milk over and over again. They can eff right off with with their Prospex and Presage lines. For the price of these pieces of horological junk, I'd rather get a Hamilton or yeah, why not, two or three Orients. I'm getting rid of most of my Seikos, because I'm just not feeling it anymore with them. They've way overplayed their hand.
Sorry you feel that way. I do know exactly what you are talking about. Many Seiko are not great and the price has definitely got up to much like everything else. However, I found this watch to pull me back in to the Seiko world. It really does remind me of the old Sarb033 that I used to have. You should really go try one on. Thanks for the input and watching my Video. 👍🏻
I enjoy looking at your watch.
It’s a great watch. Thanks for watching

Thank you. From an Aussie.
Thanks for watching
Thank you. Love the thorough and passionate review. The music is pointlessly unnerving.
Thanks. Sorry for the music. Still working on the new programs. I’ll get it perfect one day. Thanks again for watching. 👍🏻
I love it 😍 amazing watch
Me too. Great watch
Better with the brown strap 👌🏻👌🏻
Indeed
Thank you for the review! Can you tell me, which Uncle Seiko bracelet it is exactly? I don't find the SPB155 on their website.
Executive Bracelet (Seiko SARB017)
This one will fit this watch. This is the one I have in the video.
Get Vario leather italy strap for this piece
They are great as well but this Artisan strap is better
It's a very fine watch but Seiko really should stop with these excessively polished cases. IMO of course 🤷♂️
The feel of the watch is wonderful with a polished cash, but I know what you are talking about. Variety would be nice
I have this and the sarb033 and the bracelets are quite dissimilar.
Agreed. The gap in the clasp drives me nuts
HEY #nkuwan I have been watching you for years and im so proud of where you have made it! I love you so much! Also thanks for making my day
Thanks for the Awesome comment. I am glad I can bring light to your day.
👍👍👏
