I love this movie! Bradley Cooper did a good job in this. I was impressed and I'm not used to him in a serious role. I'm always used to his comedy like the Hangover trilogy and he was funny when he played the doosh bag in Wedding Crashers.
I've watched this film a few times now, after listening to you I feel like the killer on the train is actually a bit of an anti hero I never looked at it like that before!
Could anyone give me a full list of the horror movie clips he uses in his video's opening? Most of them I don't recognize and they look bloody awesome! Thanks!
I really like this movie, it has a good premise. Vinnie Jones is great in it. Hes always been a mad bastard, even when he was a footballer. Ive seen him winding the crowd up tons of times just for shits & giggles. I reckon this couldve been a Slasher Sunday or possibly even a Monster Monday ha.
It has slasher elements but elements of the movie place it outside this reductive category...as the end will attest. Clive Barker would definitely beg to differ.
Lol I remember watching this on Netflix about year ago, I really enjoyed it. I thought It was good up until the end when things went..... well I'll just leave it at that.
I've watched the movie several times and really liked it Vinnie Jones is awesome and the kills are fantastic! However, I will always always have a problem with the ending- that Vinnie is doing all this to feed monsters or aliens or something. What a weird letdown of an ending. I haven't read Clive Barkers book so maybe that was the ending he wrote, and the filmmakers were trying to stay faithful to that. And, if it wasn't monsters/aliens I really don't know how they would have ended it, or what motivation they would have given Vinnie Jones. So I do understand those potential ending issues. However, that ending almost ruined this movie for me, and I always turn it off before they get to the monster/alien part. But a solid great movie overall.
I actually do not think of this film is a slasher, if it was a slasher I wouldn't have liked it because I don't like slashers. But I can see why you would put it in the category. I ignored this film for years because from the title I assumed it was just a gorefest and I'm not a huge gore fan. I noticed it listed on a webpage referencing the best lovecraftian movies and that got my attention. I watched it and was surprised that I actually really liked it. I'm glad you like to too even if you thought of it differently. and I also thought The flying eyeball out of Sam raimi's head was pretty cheesy.
I’ve been watching your reviews for over a year now and even I know why you don’t loooove Clive Barker projects. I can tell You’re not really into fantasy horror. Even when you do supernatural horror reviews there’s no Speak in your eye lol I personally love fantasy horror and Night Breed is definitely on top 10
One of the best slashers period.
This is definitely a slasher a got damn bloody one at that.
Loved this movie!
Yeah, I like Clive Barker’s books better than his movies. I enjoyed Midnight Meat Train but the CGI does kill the horror boner a bit.

The entire story is an allegory for the rich and powerful "feeding" on lesser social classes
He's not remotely an anti hero, he's the ultimate villain

I have seen Vinny Jones aka "Bullet tooth Tony" in alot of movies, this was on my list to see but I never got around to it.
Not sure why they showed the growths on Mahogany. They never explain that or the killer coughing up blood.
Maybe it's explained in the book?
Maybe
Love your videos! Have a great night.
Theo Schommer thank you
Tried watching this a while back...I don’t remember making it through.

Rape and Release lol just saw this movie, besides early CGI (was this in 3D?) I really liked it!

Quote from the guy whose job is to make clever porn titles from mainstream movies when he heard about this being released: “well...fuck.” 😜

And yes hostile franchise is great I agree. Maybe I just have shit taste in movies now that I think about it.

The entire plot is an allegory, the lizard creatures in the tunnel represent the upper class or the rich
That's how horror works, if you expect realism, watch something else
