- A DNR cop tried to stop my buddy on his Honda 250R while he was riding out on the lake. He didn't wait around to see what he was gonna say. This fatty almost rolled his snowmobile right after he took off lol

I did this for years on a tri-z 250 as a teenager. They finally figured out who i was and just waited for me at my house. A lot of fun cat and mouse times!

I used to run down railway tracks. Cops would race to the other end but I would stop and drag my bike off the tracks and bolt down a trail. I would hide my bike and walk home because they also knew where I lived. Give them a nice wave. Best part was my mom taught school with the cops wife. Hah! Too much fun.

Why does it matter? He’s on a lake. No rules on a lake. You don’t need insurance. A license. So why would he run ? Just tell him to fuck off. Unless the atv was stolen. It’s not like he was in a boat. You need a license and have a boat registered. But not a atv or snowmobile in winter ???

There is heat exchangers in the tunnel of the snowmobile. the track throws snow up against them so on the road it MIGHT overheat but probably not depending on the outside temperature. I do have an old Mercury sno-twister that would make that quad look like a fuckin snail. It has no heat exchangers. It has a radiator just like the four wheeler in the video. There is no snowmobile that I know of that relies on snow getting thrown on the engine to keep cool.

Yea when your out for a cruise on the frozen lake minding your own business not bothering anyone and the cops fuck with you. You could be out robbing a bank or mugging an old lady and the police want to fuck with you for ridding your atv When you ride though farmers fields are their livelihood that is there bread and butter. When you tear through a field it rips up their hay soybeans wheat be respectful to outher peoples property. Ride down the sides of the fields and paths. That farmers working hard to make a living Ive ran from the cops many times on my dirt bike is a rush love it.

When I was a kid in Fort McMurray Alberta, I rode from the Snye all the way down to the Clearwater River, then further almost to the Athebasca River on a John Deere 300 Jr size snowmobile. It is a very remote area way out on the ice. I stopped to say hi to a couple of atv riders I've recognized from time to time and as soon as I did I knew something was wrong with them. I was sitting with both legs on one side and I knew I had one chance to pull start with my right hand and reach over with my left to throttle. I did it all in one motion as one of the guys lunged at me and grabbed my jacket shoulder, I held on enough so that he lost his grip. I went straight home and to this day I regret not going to the police and pointing him out.
He was keeping right up, but what's he supposed to do? Side swipe the wheeler and possibly hurt the guy and himself over a registration?

One year my buddy was out ice fishing with one of his buddies. DNR was just sitting in his truck away from everybody watching with binoculars. He got pissed off and left when my buddy's buddy walked over and asked "Catchin' anything?"

You can't ride ATVs on snowmobile trails.
No bikes allowed on lakes. And forest rangers technically have more power than cops. They don’t need a warrant to search you, your vehicle or property in situations that they believe you have illegal game or species or are breaking state land rules.

Years ago a Connecticut State Trooper stopped some guys riding their snowmobiles down the side of the highway in a blizzard.. There were miles of stuck cars and he had them drive him up to the accident that was blocking the road.

Got pulled over coming off the ice on my dirt bike once. I was going to my buddies house literally two blocks off the lake. Didn't matter, the cop was a dick and wrote me a ticket for being on the road. That's why I don't stop anymore.

The first year I moved to the U.P. by Keneewah Bay, it had a hard hard freeze. I was sitting on the back patio one night watching a "Safety" check point, on US 41. I seen a pick up truck get on the ice, followed by 2 snowmobiles, that truck ran those clowns all over the ice, for about 5 minutes, before powering off and up a boat ramp and took off. They did catch him at home, license plates! rofl

Sled (cop? Still unsure) had you on open lske, sled was much faster. Soon as you hit the trees you had the advantage. Finding the bare road was brilliant. He could not follow you then. Bailing off on a random trail was smart.
Ending it before they could call in reinforcements or air was smart.
I hope he didn't know you or your ATV or get some kind of license number.

I once had a cop trying to stop me when I was on my friend's snowmobile.It was scary fast.This was about 12 years ago and all I remember is that it was a Yamaha and he used to race with it.Anyway the cop tried to stop me.I hit the throttle and when I hit 100mph the belt snapped.The cop screamed at me for a couple minutes and my friend pulled up and the cop gave him the ticket because it was his snowmobile.We were riding it behind a school and the janitor called the police lol

I'm from florida and I know that most snowmobiles will outrun any quad there are no quads that will do 120-130 mph unless you have streetbike engines in them and you have snowmobiles running 8-10 second quarter miles.

Definitely not a real DNR or anything, no lights/no enforcement indication on either the sled or himself. Indication meaning by logo on sled or anything in jacket.

Here in N. Idaho we have thousands of miles of trails and roads, some are open to ATV's, some are motorcycle and some are open to everything including trucks. We try to respect nature and other riders and often self police, it's not uncommon for an experienced rider to stop someone and try to educate them on the rules and what is expected of them. There are a million places where you could ride off a mountain and not be found for months.

This is great, I run serious iron and have walked away from fish cops and rcmp more then once. Just keep that sort of fun for the bush and lakes cause it really is part of the thrill of riding but on a public street it's a whole other level and you'd best pull over and play nice.
