I have a super oily t-zone (better than it used to be after following skincare tips from you!) and such big pores and haven’t wore foundation in probably like a year because it always just looks awful on my skin. Watched this and went out and bought it - the best foundation I have ever worn. Ever. I’ve always found matte foundations just make your skin look like you have foundation on and just not natural at all, I’d get creasing in smile lines and it would just look awful. This foundation, beautiful. Can barely see it on my skin, I’ve worn it a whole day at work and only have a tiny bit of oil showing on my forehead and that’s it. No creasing, nothing. I am in complete shock and am SO happy. Thank you thank you thank you!!!! I’d completely lost my makeup mojo from trying and failing so many foundations

I have been using this serum for a year and I LOVE it. I also mix it with other foundations to improve their properties. It is a dream come true. I have an oily T-zone, some redness and it covers beautifully! Hugs from Poland.
@@nikkiajoy I mix it with Polish brands mostly, but have also tried with L'Oreal infaillible to get a bit more coverage and Catrice true skin to get a lighter color (I love it by itself, so it is just about the color this time). Works beautifully!
I am 56, with normal skin. I was FLOORED the first couple of days of wearing this foundation. I loved it. THEN the drying effect kicked in. My skin started getting red blotches, it was the foundation. I had to return it. The coverage WAS beautiful in the beginning though.
I Love this foundation, I’ve had it for some time now and it works beautifully on dry mature skin, it’s definitely one of my holy grail foundations, I’m surprised that you haven’t reviewed this one before Nikkia as it’s been available here in Australia 🇦🇺 for some time. There isn’t a shade that matches me perfectly but! This foundation is life saving when I tell you. I sweat like crazy! Occasions when it’s sooooo hot, I sweat a bucket full of sweat and when I get home it looks like when I applied it 🤷🏻♀️ I’m not as oily as I used to be but I sweat like crazy. If you’re like me and need a sweat proof foundation don’t sleep on this

Yes the sponge side looks better. I,m wearing it today, the Clinique serum foundation feels good on my sensitive skin, wanted to try it out because i loved the balanced skin foundation. I,m used to wearing my trusty old La Roche BB creme which had a glow and i miss that. I,m not a primer girl but i think the Charlotte wonder glow or hollywood filter would make a difference. Or could you put a drop of liquid highlighter into it? Any suggestions to make the look less matt are welkom 👍love the sponge

This foundation is formulated to work for Oily or Combination skin. Clinique designs their foundations to work for specific skin types. I used to work for them and at training the first thing you learn about foundations is they are all made for different skin types and/or concerns.

Picked this up when recently holidaying in Singapore which did look good. But unfortunately first time in years my skin reacted with breakouts. Thought perhaps humid weather away was culprit but no did the same again.
I just got this foundation to try and I really like it. I have combo skin and I use shade alabaster. I have a neutral skin colour . I found it goes best on my skin after using a serum and moisturiser together. It wears well for about 6 hours on me without touch ups. It’s def my new fav purely for the coverage and the way it applies. I am 42 in Peri menopause and get breakouts

I remember liking a Clinique foundation years ago, but it permanently stained my clothes if I got it on them, despite laundering. My favourite foundation was Too Faced Peach Perfect Foundation, but now that it has been discontinued, I am left using up what I still have of it (half a tube), or using my Landome Teint Idole Foundation. Neither is full coverage, right? I have nerve damage from a deteriorating jaw joint, so I have to wear a foundation that, at least, covers the redness on half of my face that it causes. I will likely put this foundation on my To Try list. Despite having oily skin, and acne for many years, I now have clear, normal skin; it is just sixty-one years old, however! This serum foundation certainly looks beautiful on you, Nikkia! Hope you are staying warm, and toasty! If you were over here this weekend, you would likely be ducking the outside, because it is supposed to be 43C (109.4F) with the humidex Saturday, and Sunday! Yay for A/C! I am 48. I ve used tones of different foundations ... cheap ones ... expensive ones....(Sisley's phyto teint éclat is probably the most expensive I had used and I only mention it in terms of showing that I was always searching for my holy grail....)for my oily skin. I am being in menopause and I am less oily than I used to but still I consider myself on the oily side but with some dry areas at the same time at this time of my life. I ve been using this foundation for two weeks and I have to admit that it is the best foundation I ve ever used!!!! And I am wearing it for at least ten hours every day in a warm and humid climate where I live. I am sooooo happy that I gave it a chance!!!

I wondered when you were gonna get up ur hands on this one 😊 I have oily skin too and absolutely love this foundation! I found out about it at the beginning of 2022 and so far it is the only one I have been using!! This foundation coupled with your primer and your setting powder along with Patrick Starr one/size mattifying waterproof setting spray, kept my face/makeup beautiful after 10+ hours, with only having to blot a few times! I did have to exchange it after purchasing it online tho cuz the color was a bit off. This is definitely #1 on my list now and I’m so happy you like it too 💕 BTW, correct me if I’m wrong, but I don’t believe you had lashes on in this review or did you? If no, what mascara did you use? Your lashes look amazing !!! 🤩

I have dry sensitive skin and use Clinique skin care as my holy grail, HOWEVER this foundation destroyed my skin after a week. I think it’s the salicylic acid, started getting red extremely dry patches and irritation. Had to return it.
I just returned this for the wrong shade but really want something comparable to Dior Backstage that is fragrance free. I’m not sure if that’s what is breaking me out but so much acne. I sometimes think it’s actually from shaving the vellous hair too though.
Hi babe!! You could also give Mac face and body a try, very similar to Dior! Make sure when you are blading your face, that your face is very clean and also the tool you are using! I would use disposable where possible and also wouldn’t blade when there is an active breakout as you will just transfer bacteria around your face! I hope this info helps babe ♥️♥️♥️♥️

Hi Nikkia! I was hoping you could help with something that happened. Last time I used this foundation. After applying I discovered that It had settled in creases and wrinkles I didn't even knew I had. I mean they didn't show if I relaxed my face. But if I frowned forexample my forehead just abrupted in small lines all over. It also looked super dry.. Like I said as long as I relaxed I was fine.. 🤷🏻♀️ I was testing out a new gel primer that's supposed to be gripping for your makeup so I'm thinking it might be the problem?

Or I just use the remainder of what is on the mitt on my face. I do wet my blender and then squeeze out all the excess and I am so happy to hear your rosacea is under control. I totally understand the journey you would of been on with that so im really happy to hear for you that it is under control. I would give the new L’Oréal tinted serum a go or you would most likely be best with something like the bb from bareminerals being mineral base nice and gentle on the skin 🥰😘 I hope the information I have given is helpful and please always leave a comment if you have any further! Hello Nikia, what is the best foundation that is mask-proof? As a nurse I wear mask at work and hate to see when my foundation transfer over the mask, I also have oily skin so its extra challenging to find a foundation that will stick to your skin all day long...

I know how brutal your job can be pre pandemic so hats off to you babe ♥️ makeup forever hd had a claim it was mask proof, I haven’t personally trialled a foundation with a mask or n95 for that purpose! I have been wearing surgical and some n95 for travel and all will transfer a bit. Fuller coverage like too faced born this way matte and double wear are less prone to but I think all will 🥰 If your skin is acting up with your mask and makeup, I would lean toward very light or a mineral so there’s not too much on your skin! I hope this helps babe ♥️♥️♥️
I’m a CNA so I understand your struggle! Tbh I’ve just given up on wearing makeup to work until we don’t have to wear masks anymore 😅 it just seems like it’s impossible to keep makeup on for 12-14 hours under a mask!
I really liked this foundation: the coverage, lightness on the skin and staying power. But the shade I had was way too cool for me so I gave it away to a friend. I think I'll need to get a new one with a better shade for me but somehow the shade range that's available here in Finland seems to be a bit strange, it's hard to find a match.. I'm light with a true neutral undertone. I'm 36 and I have textured combo/oily skin with some redness.

Hi babe!! I’m so glad you trust my judgement on foundations for yourself 🥰 I would make sure you are using a great eye cream, lines under eyes are usually exaggerated by dehydration, I would also use a thin layer of anything you are applying and also set it down too 🥰 I hope this helps angel xx

@@nikkiajoy im a combo-dry skin type and it held up really really well as sometimes I notice oxidation,desperation & texture with alot of foundation, but i think it's because they were too matte for my skin! I've always had great results with nars foundations in the past and ysl,but I was pleasantly surprised by this clinique serum foundation because as we know,most serum foundations are mostly light coverage but i really was happy with this (aswell as the concealer)!!!❤❤❤
Ohhh I do find them very similar lovely 🥰 The coverage was a little more with less product with this than the L’Oréal and I think it held up a little better, regarding oil. Neither of them I needed to touch up after a stupid amount of time 😂 both are fab!

All their skincare gives me breakouts, I have sensitive skin and cannot use any of their skin care.

Picked this up when recently holidaying in Singapore which did look good. But unfortunately first time in years my skin reacted with breakouts. Thought perhaps humid weather away was culprit but no did the same again.
I had an allergic reaction or something when I tried it 😢 it broke my skin out and felt very irritated.

I just got this foundation to try and I really like it. I have combo skin and I use shade alabaster. I have a neutral skin colour . I found it goes best on my skin after using a serum and moisturiser together. It wears well for about 6 hours on me without touch ups. It’s def my new fav purely for the coverage and the way it applies. I am 42 in Peri menopause and get breakouts

I remember liking a Clinique foundation years ago, but it permanently stained my clothes if I got it on them, despite laundering. My favourite foundation was Too Faced Peach Perfect Foundation, but now that it has been discontinued, I am left using up what I still have of it (half a tube), or using my Landome Teint Idole Foundation. Neither is full coverage, right? I have nerve damage from a deteriorating jaw joint, so I have to wear a foundation that, at least, covers the redness on half of my face that it causes. I will likely put this foundation on my To Try list. Despite having oily skin, and acne for many years, I now have clear, normal skin; it is just sixty-one years old, however! This serum foundation certainly looks beautiful on you, Nikkia! Hope you are staying warm, and toasty! If you were over here this weekend, you would likely be ducking the outside, because it is supposed to be 43C (109.4F) with the humidex Saturday, and Sunday! Yay for A/C! As you can see lovely, it held up so well on my very oily skin but I haven’t tried in humid weather as it’s about 10 degrees here every day 😂🥶 it is very very similar to double wear!

I ve used tones of different foundations ... cheap ones ... expensive ones....(Sisley's phyto teint éclat is probably the most expensive I had used and I only mention it in terms of showing that I was always searching for my holy grail....)for my oily skin.
I am being in menopause and I am less oily than I used to but still I consider myself on the oily side but with some dry areas at the same time at this time of my life.
I ve been using this foundation for two weeks and I have to admit that it is the best foundation I ve ever used!!!! And I am wearing it for at least ten hours every day in a warm and humid climate where I live.
I am sooooo happy that I gave it a chance!!!

I wondered when you were gonna get up ur hands on this one 😊 I have oily skin too and absolutely love this foundation! I found out about it at the beginning of 2022 and so far it is the only one I have been using!! This foundation coupled with your primer and your setting powder along with Patrick Starr one/size mattifying waterproof setting spray, kept my face/makeup beautiful after 10+ hours, with only having to blot a few times! I did have to exchange it after purchasing it online tho cuz the color was a bit off. This is definitely #1 on my list now and I’m so happy you like it too 💕 BTW, correct me if I’m wrong, but I don’t believe you had lashes on in this review or did you? If no, what mascara did you use? Your lashes look amazing !!! 🤩

I have dry sensitive skin and use Clinique skin care as my holy grail, HOWEVER this foundation destroyed my skin after a week. I think it’s the salicylic acid, started getting red extremely dry patches and irritation. Had to return it.

I just returned this for the wrong shade but really want something comparable to Dior Backstage that is fragrance free. I’m not sure if that’s what is breaking me out but so much acne. I sometimes think it’s actually from shaving the vellous hair too though.
Hi babe!! You could also give Mac face and body a try, very similar to Dior! Make sure when you are blading your face, that your face is very clean and also the tool you are using! I would use disposable where possible and also wouldn’t blade when there is an active breakout as you will just transfer bacteria around your face! I hope this info helps babe ♥️♥️♥️♥️

Hi Nikkia! I was hoping you could help with something that happened. Last time I used this foundation. After applying I discovered that It had settled in creases and wrinkles I didn't even knew I had. I mean they didn't show if I relaxed my face. But if I frowned forexample my forehead just abrupted in small lines all over. It also looked super dry.. Like I said as long as I relaxed I was fine.. 🤷🏻♀️

Or I just use the remainder of what is on the mitt on my face. I do wet my blender and then squeeze out all the excess and I am so happy to hear your rosacea is under control. I totally understand the journey you would of been on with that so im really happy to hear for you that it is under control. I would give the new L’Oréal tinted serum a go or you would most likely be best with something like the bb from bareminerals being mineral base nice and gentle on the skin 🥰😘 I hope the information I have given is helpful and please always leave a comment if you have any further! Hello Nikia, what is the best foundation that is mask-proof? As a nurse I wear mask at work and hate to see when my foundation transfer over the mask, I also have oily skin so its extra challenging to find a foundation that will stick to your skin all day long...
Hi babe!!! I hope you are looking after yourself in the climate we are in! I know how brutal your job can be pre pandemic so hats off to you babe ♥️ makeup forever hd had a claim it was mask proof, I haven’t personally trialled a foundation with a mask or n95 for that purpose! I have been wearing surgical and some n95 for travel and all will transfer a bit. Fuller coverage like too faced born this way matte and double wear are less prone to but I think all will 🥰 If your skin is acting up with your mask and makeup, I would lean toward very light or a mineral so there’s not too much on your skin! I hope this helps babe ♥️♥️♥️
I’m a CNA so I understand your struggle! Tbh I’ve just given up on wearing makeup to work until we don’t have to wear masks anymore 😅 it just seems like it’s impossible to keep makeup on for 12-14 hours under a mask!
I really liked this foundation: the coverage, lightness on the skin and staying power. But the shade I had was way too cool for me so I gave it away to a friend. I think I'll need to get a new one with a better shade for me but somehow the shade range that's available here in Finland seems to be a bit strange, it's hard to find a match.. I'm light with a true neutral undertone. I'm 36 and I have textured combo/oily skin with some redness.

Hi babe!! I’m so glad you trust my judgement on foundations for yourself 🥰 I would make sure you are using a great eye cream, lines under eyes are usually exaggerated by dehydration, I would also use a thin layer of anything you are applying and also set it down too 🥰 I hope this helps angel xx

@@nikkiajoy im a combo-dry skin type and it held up really really well as sometimes I notice oxidation,desperation & texture with alot of foundation, but i think it's because they were too matte for my skin! I've always had great results with nars foundations in the past and ysl,but I was pleasantly surprised by this clinique serum foundation because as we know,most serum foundations are mostly light coverage but i really was happy with this (aswell as the concealer)!!!❤❤❤

How do you think it compares to the L'Oreal True Match Nude Plumping Serum?
Ohhh I do find them very similar lovely 🥰 The coverage was a little more with less product with this than the L’Oréal and I think it held up a little better, regarding oil. Neither of them I needed to touch up after a stupid amount of time 😂 both are fab!
