One of my favorite cars. They were built on the Lincoln production line to the same standards, and were one of the finest cars of the period. To this day you still see them around once in a while, built with heavy steel and really good quality materials, they weren't known for falling apart. Just the doors weight a ton each, i've done a little restoration work with a friend on his and became very impressed with how well made it was. This roadster is simply elegant and stunning, what a car!

AWESOME VEHICLE.The owner sounds like a great caretaker of the car.

I owned a white 62 hardtop, tilt away steering, auto transmission, air conditioning, power windows, powered seats with blue baby pearl leather seats. Fully powered as you would say. I was the second owner and I purchased it 1968. I was in the air force in southern California at the time. She was gorgeous and drove like a dream.

In Texas, we call those the “oh, shit! handle”. When you need it, that’s probably what you are saying. What a beauty! I love the red interior east. Hard to pick just one color. I also love the turquoise, too.

    We called it the Batmobile

Very nice; I used to own a '62 hardtop with tri-power installed after the original purchase. It had manual windows, too.

If I could have only one Thunderbird. It would be this year's this model in a pearl ivory and yes white walls.

Those wide whitewalls aren't period correct! If it had been a '61 T-bird they would have been.

Shouldn't the side view mirror be round instead of square ?

This is probably one of the few with manual windows.

Striking car ... But WHY do these people insist putting non-period-correct, wide white sidewall, pimpmobile, tires on 1960's cars?? Remember.... Just because you can do it, doesn't necessarily mean that you SHOULD do it.

Unleaded ethanol blend. I'm surprised it ran well at all.

Absolutely gorgeous but the wide whites are incorrect...

Those white walls don't do the car any favors.
