I have to agree. I recently purchased an MRAD in .338 and made a cold bore hit out to 1000 yards on the very first round fired through it after 100 yard zero. If you have the money, it is an incredible rifle.
@ in my opinion AI is overpriced. For the AXSR in .338 you are looking at nearly $12,000 but you can pick up an MRAD for about $6000. Both have comparable accuracy so what am I getting for double the price.
Mark 22 by any other name is an MRAD.. Thank you BARRETT. A few excellent features of the Mark 22: *easily removable trigger group for cleaning and replacement. *one piece Pic. rail * easy AR style break open action for easy cleaning snf bolt removal for cartridge size changes and finally it is frikkin'accurate! Would I rather own an MRAD than a British Accuracy International AW? HELL YES! (But the AW is still excellent.)
yes, the Barrett MRAD uses 3 calibers in its kit. it took years and a lot of research and development from actual Special Forces operators and the rifle had actual combat experience.
Barret vs AI vs Cadex defense which is best in terms of Accuracy and reliability personally I feel like Cadex Appearance is best also it chechis and AI Has built quality but mind goes to Barret because US SF liket it
So what I understood of this was that the DoD purchased a rifle, got bent over and rogered. They then went out to tender and purchased the second best rifle, because the better one isn’t built in the US.
Hi, I like the channel and content very much, but could you please drop the background music that's played during the video? IMO it adds nothing whilst being really irritating. Other similar channels don't have any that I'm aware of. Thanks.
Let’s be clear. This entire procurement was because the US manufacturer and winner of the previous competition, intentionally supplied inferior materials and reneged on its contract. Tell the solution is to say that we must have another US manufacturer. And while we’re at it, let’s pick the one that had previous accuracy problems. It’s hard to imagine that AI couldn’t supply enough. British made rifles while it was setting up an assembly line in the US.
Now I know you are full of crap. No One calls a 338 Lapua Mag a three hundred thirty eight. And when you picture a 300 win mag and call it a 300 norma mag you prove how truly uninformed you are
If you are going to use AI, then right your script so the AI doesn't sound like AI. The way certain words are pronounced is not only a dead give away, but rather annoying.
For those who dont know, the 12.7 mentioned during the canadian record set is a .50 caliber bullet.

How is AI And Cadex compared to barret

Couldnt imagine carrying the full kit of the Mrad. The rifle, 3 barrels, suppressor, tools, ammo , mags, etc.
No one would ever do that.

300 Norm Mag is the future.
thought they was getting rid of snipers
Is .338 Norma Magnum the same as .338 Lapua Magnum?
No, those are two different rounds.
@rdsii64 OK, thanks for the reply.
In testing they found the Norma could squeeze a bit more distance from the Lapua
@rossg4788 I'll assume that's with the same grain bullet. Can either cartridge be fired from the same rifle?
@@XrayMike17plus1 No, 338 Norma and 338 Lapua are different and cannot be fired from the same barrel.

Wrong
@ ok, please explain it then.

The background music is not neccessary.
