In 1990, Iraq ignored international warnings and invaded Kuwait. By 1991, the US and its allies, with the support of the United Nations, intervened and decisively defeated the Iraqi military in just 42 days. Today, despite Russia waging a similar war of aggression against Ukraine, the US and its allies have not taken comparable action. Instead, they have provided weaponry and implemented escala...

It’s Gripen, not Grifen. It’s Rafal, not Rafaely. Jeeeeeeeez 😉😜😂
That's the result of continuous cuts to the British defence budget. Not quite as bad as the two malfunctioning trident 2 nuclear missiles that plopped into the ocean half a mile away from the submarine that launched it which was supposed to highlight the British navys capability to defend the country from potential Russian aggression. It really is staggering just how fast the British armed forces have gone from being the world's most powerful military which commanded respect from hostile countries into the embarrassing incompetent laughing stock that it's recently become. Since the end of the cold war government after government have reduced military spending resulting in our armed forces falling further and further down the world rankings in favour of chasing such idiotic government policies such as net zero and providing Islamic migrants from such countries as Syria Iraq Afghanistan and various North African Islamic countries all of which hate the west and everything it stands for. This ridiculous excuse for a government has just recently announced a further reduction of half a billion pounds in defence cuts and considering the world is quite literally a heartbeat away from a global conflict the likes of which the world has never seen is quite frankly outrageous.
Yes..f 14 should have gone a long way with new lightvweighted more powerfull engine. With the concept of 3 single automated f 14 jet with 2 seated 1 f 14 as command and control mechanism...still would have given a different concept😊
They are fourth generation fighters, not third generation get your fat chicks in the water Ukraine are getting all the latest mirage 2000 F5 variance
So what’s the use of a naval gun in modern warfare. What would it be used for,
The advantage of French weapons are that they are specifically designed to take into account the shortcomings of other similar systems. For instance, the F-16 was originally designed to be a light fighter, so the airframe was not designed for the equipment it actually carries in real life. The Mirage 2000 was designed to take this into consideration from the outset. So the Mirage 2000 performs better in real world conditions. Which would be expected, being specifically designed for those conditions and not modified after the fact.
Nice video, I like how you give zero fucks about pronunciation of the plane manufacturers' names (basically you only got MiG right). ❤
Great to hear that Ukraine will be getting these planes! It's a pity that the Harrier jump-jet isn't made any more - I think they were awesome aircraft and surprisingly capable. Speed isn't everything - the Harrier showed that in the Falklands War when it shot down much faster aircraft. Indeed, being able to slow down or stop means the enemy will go past you and go right into your sights. Few if any aircraft are as maneuverable as the Harrier either. I think one of the F-35 variants is STOL/VTOL but it's usually used off a carrier. Another aircraft that'd be useful in Ukraine is the A-10. Excellent for strafing dug-in Russian positions along the front line.
Most of our MiG21 were bought from Russia not Ukraine.

We should have a few nuclear powered subs for patrolling remote areas where refueling, conventional subs would be problematic.
Intro Title has a pretty bad spelling error....
0:55 no. One was converted from a civilian ship by the US.. The USS Langley. The next two in the US fleet, Lexington and Saratoga, were converted from fast battleships prior to completion, all subsequent US carriers were purpose built. The British converted a couple of cruisers with half-decks, but no civilian ships. The Japanese converted battlecruisers to carriers, in small numbers. Later in the war the British made a few cargo ships into carriers to help protect Atlantic convoys.
Stop wasting money on a Proxy war in Ukraine. This war could have been over in months, yet here we are three years on.
😂😂😂 Russia's air defense is frothing at the mouth upon these getting here. They shot down an American F16. What is this piece of shit gonna do?
The heck is "Rafaeli" and "Graypen"?! It's pronounced as Rafal /ra' fa: l/, and Gripen /gri 'pen/. Dumb ass.
Isn't this plane 4th generation.
Not really, the ones Ukraine is getting are early models.
12 subs. Wow! I wonder how long until the budget runs out and we only use 2 and use the others for parts?
Cunards are gay
Farewell old birds! Thank you for everything and for giving us our country, without them in the 90's homeland war there would be no Croatia! May you rust gracefully in peace and all the mighty glory.
Ukraine could still use Griffin Jets my belief is they would give the most versatility to the Ukrainian Air Force they do not have to be at Major are fields, they could be based in other areas away from Ukraine's main airport fields, that would make them harder to find and destroy by Russia.
Before Biden gets out if you could give Ukraine one or two of the older United States Navy awacs carrier-based aircraft that would help Ukraine a lot.
근데 빨갱이 들은 이런 배 싫어 하쟎아? 우리 북한 돼지 힘들다고!
These guys are scared of this vessel, so they call it a paper tiger. When Zircon is fired against a US destroyer, we'll see how they'll defend against it... The Admiral Nakhimov is a game changer, and the West is scared to their bone.
the Sea Sparrow Missile is in service from 1976-present no were near for the last century or 100 years. this video is propagating disinformation just for content.
Game changer? People overuse that word to the point that it has become meaningless. Like he says, these things don't have the A2A capability of the F-16MLUs Ukraine got but the Mirage is an excellent bomb and cruise missile truck and there's plenty of spares. Laser guidance will be pretty useless given the capabilities Russian SAM defences still have but the Mirage will be able to make much better use of more advanced guided bombs than the Su-24. One of their biggest problems is probably going to be integrating NATO IFF systems on the Mirage and F-16 with the old Soviet air defence equipment.
So what A2A capabilities does the MLU have that the Dash 5 doesn't?
@@marcg1686 He kinda spelled it out in the video.
1:48 - what about the many countries who drive on the left?
Not all carriers have had their islands on the starboard side. The Hiryu and Akagi had their islands on the starboard side. Of course in those days - all carriers were straight deck. The HMS Triumph was the first angled deck carrier in 1952 followed by the USS Antietam in 1953. The Brits also come up with the optical landing system.
One thing on the Soviet carriers. Their designs were also restricted by diplomatic concerns. Turkey controls the Bosporous Strait and explicitly prohibits capital ships (anything larger than a cruiser) from passing through it. So in order to get around that restriction, the Russians built "aviation cruisers" which were half-cruiser, half-carrier, allowing them to pass through it.
I think you just said Russians are mentally inferior

Why are we not building our own navy. Stop buying other countries junk.
Why did congress refuse the F16 sale?
Too many Israeli parts need to be removed almost everything and replaced with original US NATO electronics and gadgets approved by US and since the sale of the plane was schedules "as it was in current state" meaning with Israeli parts congress cant grant the sale. They try second time by US rules but Croatians were drop the bid. What movie doesn't say there was also Greek offer, but it was refused because it only has one two seat plane and bid ask for two.
@@stefanraspudic2199nope, General Dynamics was in the offer for new factory F-16’s, Israel tried to sell surplus (re: old A models) that were part of U.S. military aid pushing higher price U.S. new build out of the tender. Israel wanted to sell F-16’s that were provided free to Israel. You can’t sell U.S. provided aid without getting an exemption of “end user” certification. Similar to Israel selling Lavi fighter technologies to China for the J-10 project that were paid for in U.S. development funding, essentially theft of U.S. funds to China for payment to Israel. Phalcon aew radar systems paid for with U.S. funding was sold by Israel to China.
@@markyuresko1346 It was Lockheed Martin the right owner of General Dynamics and it was get Third party transfer for shell on a plane not any other part in who need to be replaced with original LM parts but the problem was still over 2000 kg overweight plane instead block 30 original but to back on the theme US embassy in Zagreb warn the government with non paper to tell them that sale was big NO NO to US but government thought that Israel would fix this that was of course a great fantasy for everyone who thought that get can under a radar and in that conditions. Us ambassador even cheer for Greek offer but it was bunk because of the one two seat plane short. That new offer was same us Bulgaria offer 8 new plane instead 12 and that was also bunk because it was not what Croatia want in that time by her tender and that was 10 single seat planes and two 2seat planes that is why were no Gripen E and F 35 in offer.
Corporate bosses and Lockheed Martin's legal department were concerned about the same deal between Israel and Romania, as well as Israel and Bulgaria, which would result in the sale of more than 100 planes under similar conditions without providing them any benefit. This is why they went to complain to the State Department and the President.
One correction Mig-21 was not serviced in Romania but Ukraine. Mig-21 is no longer in service for Air Policing services it is still or at least was stated they are on standby until Rafale pilots get ready for combat by end of 2025 in the last ceremony.
Lancer self-made Romanian fighters which use mig-21 platform was state of the art, equivalent with F-16, use same cockpit and similar avionics, only radar and missiles we’re different with with same characteristics in war, Croatian was Ukrainians low modernized platform. Romanian had in the past the most modernized version of a Soviet fighter.
Make love not fucking war boys ❤ no stess, better life 🎉

Found some numbers, dont know the accuracy tho EF2000; 13 000€-20 000€. This is for Italy Rafale; 10 000€-12 000€. This is for France. Abt who is better. Who knows. Rafale does have RAM coating and has limited low observability design to it. Rafale tho still is the one who won against F22 in dogfight.( some say Raptor had external fuel tanks, but french DOD posted the video of said dogfight, where you cant see these external fuel tanks. i.e Raptor did not carry them during this dogfight. Obv this simple comparison between two fighters is very limited. It doesnt include pilot skill, tactics and other external factors.
Hey, I am someone who works in the OSRH (Croatias army) and I have few friends that are part of the HRZ (croatian af), two of them pilots. According to them, eurofigthers were never an option because they were all around too expesnive. Grippens that they offerd to us were "sranje" to put it shortly. They woud have been build from spare parts on bases of C and D model which will have problems with future modernisations and upgrades, plus ironicly they would be the cheepest for inital purchase but most expensive to maintain and use in the long run. Barak as the video said was a failed deal, tho the pentagon said they can sell us the barak but they must strip it of all israeli tech and make it a base us C/D blick 50 f16. That leaves the F16 and the C3R rafael. Bothe were amazing deals, the f16 block 70 new, tho old but proven platform, or newer but slightly used F3R (the oldest of our rafales is around 9/10 yrs old I think its a 2 seater I mighty ask my friend if he knows about that). It all came down to politics do we want to go with the USA or France/Europe. Our president and minster chose the option you see today. Sorry for the grammar and spelling mistakes I was writing this in by bed around 1 am, živio mi 😁
@@nt_7734 Does your friend have info about flight hour cost for Rafale? Also, does F3R really come equipt with RBE2 AESA? There has been some talk in the comments abt it being older, PESA, radar system. Finaly, what abt Meteor and SCALP-EG? Are they stuck with MICA-EM/IR? Which would have been such a disapointment. Having such a powerful radar with increased range but stuck with medium range Fox-3 would be terrible.
@@Kumyar for the top part of your comment I will ask my friends when we meet for coffe or sum else. Well about the missles I might have an answer. You see our military has sometimes a problem of not buying everything. For example they are buying HIMARS but will only buy rockets that have 80km range and not the 300km ones. Why you ask? Well their answer is we dont need it yet and when the time comes we will buy it but for now they want to modernise our army, navy and af in the most efficient way possible that means buying the expencive systems but not buying the extra goods. So yeah we are trying to cover all aspetcs that need to be upgraded (there are a lot of parts of our military we need to modernise and retire the yugo stuff-for example we do not have long/medium range SAMs or we need to buy 3 modern corvets). So If you take this all in to the count our rafales are for now enough to protect the skys(I mean we coverd our skys with Mig21s with R37 just fine all these years), plus put in to the count that we are a small country, and meteors might be an overkill (But personally I thing we should get the meteor, scalp).

Ultimately Taiwan could use m48 Patton tanks and be fine if they were invaded most likely they would encounter amphibious vehicles and armored cars they doing a land invasion is very difficult it’s one of the reasons I think china hasn’t invaded
They were absolutely priceless in 1990es. In Summer 1995 during final liberation sorties, together with purchased attack helicopters Mi-24 and surveillance drones developed by Croatian engineers, their contribution was precious. Because of precision of attack on Serbian command - and communication centers, Serbs thought it was NATO hitting them. Beautiful plane, almost romantic today, but beautiful were F-106, Mirage III, B-47, F-105, Mirage F1, Saab Draken... and many, many other planes.

Its because you can turn a plane harder to the left when using a one hand control with right hand
Not many countries left flying the MiG-21 now. India will be retiring the MiG-21 in 2025, and several other nominal operators have very few or none left in serviceable condition. North Korea is now the main operator.
