  • First video back for 2022 - I spray some PGR on my Kikuyu to try and slow it down after the La-Nina summer we're having. Give it a fresh cut, and check out some creeping (sprinting) Oxalis.

I must admit, I might be getting a bit carried away! Haha. But, you're right. For use around the house they are absolutely perfect.

Hi mate, are you finding that the Liberty "floats" a bit going different directions on the kikuyu? I am too...tried just manually pushing it for a few passes rather than engaging the self propelled roller. It helped...but a fair workout if you were to do your entire lawn like that 🥵

Yeah mate, that is exactly my experience too. The self drive actually wheel-spins when it's pointed up the hill so I have to give it a bit of a shove to get it going. Then going across the yard, it slips and slides around, even without the self drive. Not sure if it's weight related or potentially would be fixed with a grooved roller?

@@thelionlawn could be weight related mate as they aren't that heavy...grooved roller would be interesting to see if that helped.

Hi mate, glad you're enjoying the videos! I have about 350m2 of lawn. The Allet is the Liberty 43 (43cm/17inch).

@@thelionlawn how do you like it being electric ? Does it have plenty of power and run time for your size lawn ? I would be interested in watching you review it at the end of the season when you have had a fair bit of use out of it

@@theoutbacklawnie1433 I like the mower. I need 2 batteries to do my lawn properly though. If I double- cut front, back and side lawns it takes a bit of juice. The other major issue is that it's much lighter than a petrol engined mower, so it slips and slides around on top of the grass some times. I plan to do a full review at the end of the season, so hopefully I'll have my thoughts together by then! 🤙🏻
