Man I have been following y’all since the beginning. Janetteiks I will wait poem was the poem that brought me to 3 years of celibacy. I’m married with 3 kids now and love that y’all continue to flow and be front runners for the LORD.

I relate with Matt so much! I'm EXTREMELY SAPPY, I'm such a sucker for love and romance, and it can be quite detrimental!! In my last relationship I practically forgot God existed (being a bit dramatic, as it wasn't literally, but pretty close), it felt like "All I need in this life is me and my boyfriend", and I'm still healing from placing my relationship with someone else over my relationship with God!
Honesty is a Good place to start with healing.God bless YOU sis

I love this! But honestly if future hubby proposed in public, I'd say no in the moment. I just think there is a discussion to be had prior to saying a firm YES.

ZimboCapetonian from what I've heard from the Perry's story, they had a strong friendship before marriage (best friends I believe). As disciples of Christ and people who were being mentored, Im guessing they had lengthyyyy conversations about marriage before he actually proposed. That is the joy of courting/being yoked to people who are in Christ. If they're truly in Christ and the Holy Spirit is in them, they'll do it properly. Be it a proposal in public or private.
