Specter has potential and played well last year , he’s just never healthy, They can survive the Milano injury but I’d like to see Dorian rotating a bit. Not sure he’s ready for a full time gig yet. We need all hands on deck so bring on Morrow, Specter, and Joe. I’d like to see the rookie too. Also been hurt… lb room has been brutalized even for an undersized group by the injury bug.
@@davidmccullough3762 Dorian Williams was drafted in the 3rd round yet plays like a UDFA. He didn’t make any splash plays last year, I don’t see his value. A 3rd round pick should bring high level skill & be a starter in the NFL.
That second tackle was beautiful, as you noted. The kid looked fantastic, and I hope he continues this type of play (obviously). It would be a great thing and story if he makes this team.
Great breakdown Erik, as usual. Andreesen showed some good instincts and hussle, great to see him make plays near or behind the L.O.S. Feeling a little better about the LB depth now.
Your expert analysis of his play was needed to fully understand what he was doing out there besides having a "nose for the ball". Thanks to you , I can honestly say he was REMARKABLE.
I really like how patient he is in the open field. He squares up and lets the runner show their hand and then fires on them to make a high percentage tackle. Really good stuff.
I'm extremely happy for him and I think if keep playing in a ascending way in the pre season he should make the team. I believe a ton of people is rooting for him. Let's freaking go Buffalo
With Spector clearly being made of glass and Morrow being on the shelf, i could see him sneaking onto the bottom of the roster if he's also good on ST.
I was super stoked to see him ball out because he went to the same HS as me. Might potentially buy a jersey if he can make the roster 2 years in a row.
Best part of the game was watching Andreessen, hopefully he can develope coverage skills to complement his ability to diagnose things at the LoS. If he can I think the bills have a player. If he can play ST, Do you think he warrants a roster spot?
Awesome film breakdown!!! Andreesen just played so well, the league knows him. Maybe they should have kept him a secret. He was after all not even a UDFA, he was a tryout player. There’s still 7 LBs that can play with Matt hurt. Someone’s getting claimed. Too much depth to keep everyone.
0:46 always been confused when ppl say 6 foot and 230-240 is small and surprising ppl can compete at that weight when majority of the best LBs in the nfl are that
It's wild that size shit is still a thing. Last year the vikings got a steal with Ivan Pace Jr undrafted. He didn't get drafted simply cause he's 5'10". But he still had 102 tackles an INT and a couple sacks. And was wearing a green dot in some games. Size don't matter in the nfl if you can ball out and have good football IQ.
@@alexkaufman1958 ppl in our community only talk about the size of a Lb cause certain big time content bros think it matters when it doesn’t . Some of the best LBs in the league are “undersized”
That kids football instincts is great I saw it a little bit in week 1. But the kid shined last night. And remember they made a movie about a special teams walk on (Vince pepale). This kids feet and mind bring him to the ball. He might’ve solidified 44 this year. If not Tomlin is prolly the first one calling him
I mean the dude is a high RAS guy, so if he's got it between the ears, his combo of size and natural fluidity is perfect for the modern day off ball WLB. I'm surprised he didn't get a little more juice in the draft process.
Fair judgement , I think if he shows up against Carolina, He makes it impossible to be cut. He had sweet quiet Bobby B in his ear, kudos to him He also was a wrestler and we all know Sean loves that and he plays special teams. I believe he will not be driving his grandma's car much longer. GO BILLS
Everyone saying hes a Milano replacement and while I'm a huge Andresen fan, I just dont see it. Hes an on the ball LB. Of course he could learn to play off the ball. But Williams will be first in line. I hope Joe did enough to earn the backup job behind TB though.
Crédit to our coaching staff for seeing the instinct and ground vision this young man has. I suspect hé will forme a vert signifacant part of our Défense in his rookie year. What an inspiring story.
He reminds me of Malcolm Rodriguez (Detroit Lions LB). I watched MRod play at Oklahoma State and knew he was a STEAL for the Lions a few years ago when he went late in the draft. Andreessen even wears the same # as Rodriguez.
Just shows how incomplete scouting is. There are too many Divison I players and -- unless an outlier is straight up awesome -- the scouts only tunnel in on the major schools.
If he goes to the practice squad, we lose him. No way he doesn't make the final roster and I think there's a reason why McDermott started him and played him the entire game. McDermott was intrigued and wanted as much film on him as possible. He delivered. Deion Jones gets cut, Spector gets moved to PS and Andreesen makes the final roster. Put Milano on IR, and Andreesen, Bernard, Dorian, Ulofoshio makes the final roster. Spector is too injury prone and not dependable. Same goes for Davidson. If we put him on the PS, then we're re gonna lose him.
If Joe doesn’t play then the last game of the season Josh Allen will give his jersey to Coach McDemott. And after the game the Bills will carry Joe off the field.
1:52 shedding blocks and not letting the block come to you is a basic line backer skill good to see him do it but it’s not a surprising skill set from a LB
Great analysis Eric, I hope he makes it, showed a lot of potential. On another topic, I know we haven’t seen a ton of WR in action. Any in game WR route running analysis that we can do given the first 2 games?
The video was about Andreesen, but at 3:30 I liked Dorian Williams. Last week they through that sit route for a 1st down on almost the exact same situation because Williams buzzed to the flat too quickly. This week he stayed under the hitch and then rallied towards the check down (missed the tackle, but I sill call it progress)
Milanos hurt and Bernard is the obvious lb1 on the depth chart rn. Every spot is up for grabs. As of now I see Dorian and andreessen fighting for the other starting spot and maybe Deion jones taking the 4th string spot in the depth chart. I think those 3 have proven to be the clear cut best linebackers this preseason/training camp obviously excluding Milano and Bernard.
Buffalo Joe. A legend is born.
Erik, I can't believe you analyzed this already. What a wonderful thing to watch while sipping my morning coffee. Great job as always!
I gotchu!
I’m having coffee today and watching
He plays fast & instinctive.
Sheds blocks. Shoots gaps.
Kid plays like a mini Milano.
Almost like a LB-Safety hybrid
To me what made Milano an all pro was his ability in zone/coverage. Not many LBs can shoot gaps AND be elite in coverage
@@TalkingFootball2023 This Andressen kid has already shown more promise than Dorian Williams & Baylen Spector. 12 tackles in your 2nd game EVER!? 🤯

He’s bigger if not as big as Milano
That second tackle was beautiful, as you noted. The kid looked fantastic, and I hope he continues this type of play (obviously). It would be a great thing and story if he makes this team.
Couldn't agree more!
I merely felt like he had a great game, but now I know he did. Great video.
Glad you enjoyed
Gotta give this young man a shot on the team!
Love it erik thanks for doing this one. He’s a great story and I hope a full time member of this bills.
Super solid backup. He'll be a big star someday soon.
The Defense was stellar today!
Love this channel. I've learned so much about football. Thx, Erik!
Super impressed by this guy. Hope he makes the team and continues this outstanding play.
A possible patch for the Milano hole in the D??
Great breakdown Erik, as usual.
Andreesen showed some good instincts and hussle, great to see him make plays near or behind the L.O.S.
Feeling a little better about the LB depth now.
I not saying he will be starter but he looks a bit like Milano when he came into the league.
@MasonSkylinecalm it down
@MasonSkyline he was by .02 lol his 40 time was that close to Milano. I think Joe
has an football IQ that makes him faster.
Your expert analysis of his play was needed to fully understand what he was doing out there besides having a "nose for the ball".

We gotchu covered!

Color me shocked. Bean + McDermott find and develop LB talent. 😂
Dude is a natural.

Proud to be a native Buffalonian 🦬

Was hoping you guys would make a video on this. good stuff

I’ve learned so much again and again. Thanks guys.
Our pleasure! That means so much
Love smart and instinctive football players. Joe's got a bright future.
Kind of upset they released Frank Gore Jr 😢 he did an amazing job at his position in preseason
Sean Mcdermott and his staff are fantastic scouts and excellamt player developers
Great breakdown Erik.
Great Video as usual!
Thank you
LET'S GO BUFFALO JOE!!! GO BILLS!!!
Great addition to the Bills!
Great job.
Great stuff
Thanks!
He’s a keeper.
If the Bills put Joe on the practice squad, the Steelers will pick him up.
He has to make the 53 roster
Best part of the game was watching Andreessen, hopefully he can develope coverage skills to complement his ability to diagnose things at the LoS. If he can I think the bills have a player. If he can play ST, Do you think he warrants a roster spot?
I thinks he’s a fringe player given the injuries. But lots of room to develop.
Awesome film breakdown!!!

I gotta admit, i'm impreesed with Andreeson, i hope he makes the roster

im guessing that it was because he was from UB, which is a very bad MAC team
i really hope he makes the team
This will get a ton of views
ESP with this comment for the algorithm lol
lol, maybe!
Who knows, Joe may have a bright future with the Bills.
He has another good game next week he’s made this team and in line to start with Bernard I feel.
I wouldn’t go that far. But if he puts up antler good game he’s going to push to crack the 53

How do you watch tape like this?
Like get the gods eye view?
Is there a different platform then just watching the televised game?
NFL+
He moves like Milano, he’s been soaking in everything that Milano is teaching him.I HOPE HE MAKES THE TEAM. Bills Mafia!!!!!!!!!!
hey, i'm here to support a hometown boy. but a lot of this early stuff he's cleaning up.
im changing the narrative.. if Drees gets injured, we're screwed!!
Bills might have found a Luke kueckley type player if so that would be huge for them
44: The greatest player of all time.
-signed, Steelers analyst lol
Love you bro 😆
Kid looks strong pushing back o line being squared up that’s hard being square makes u unbalanced

Dorian is fast and that saves his mistakes. He needs to play smarter

Erik is the best. Says more in less words, and explains why. Thanks.
All these questions about if he's going to make the team. Of coarse he is. He's good enough and we're down linebackers
what is "do his one eleven"?
1/11th. He did his job and put others in position to make plays.
Yes, I see a young Matt Milano all day!!!

Quick launch for being 240 and good football IQ. Could do well next to Bernard.
Go Bills! It’s like LB Kiko Alonso 2014 🦬🏈❄️
Fantastic video. 👍 Go Bills!
Thank you!
He regularly ruined Steelers' attempts to block him.
Yes! The boys are back.
It’s me!
We need so slow the roll on calling it a breakout performance in the preseason but still it was nice to see him step up given the opportunity
He might just make the team ?
Dorian misses easy tackles. Convert Buffalo Joe to outside LB
He’s like kiko but actually good
Baby Milano
They got a good one. Hopefully he starts.
Nice game young man!
Beane do not practice squad this kid
You can just feel the NY Giants and the chicago bears Licking theiR CHOPS
No way this guy doesn’t make the roster now
Especially after losing Milano
Yung Dreezy can balll... Needs a little more muscle. But you guys know I say that about everybody😅
seriously need some lb depth so if he can play good for the bills.
The BILLS better not let this guy go a and do. what they normally do. the "BILLS Y" way and put this guy on the practice squad and end up losing him
