- First Drill of 2019!!
At 12:51pm, the alarms sounded once again as we practiced our monthly evacuation drill. There wasn't a drill for January considering there were some days that available and the school didn't practice. I'm not sure if we will have another drill later this month (don't ask me why). This was probably the longest walk to the 'spot'. This was my first February drill and it most likely will be my last.
Alarms heard:
- Simplex 4903-9219
- Simplex 4903- 9236
- Simplex 4903-9238
Timing:
12:51-1:07

oh man i really wantes to see you next year
I'm taking cooking classes in the Cafe next year. So you might have a rare opportunity of seeing me.
yaaaaaaaa i love your channel btw
Beginning of the video I love the fire alarm sound at the beginning of the video I wish my school had those type of fire alarms
Thanks!
This is when u need a walkie talkie system :)
What do you mean?
@@jaredthompson3011 like to communicate with the other person so u know when to go back into the building my school when we had a mechanical fire alarm fire drill we did it at 1:20pm every one in the building had walkie talkies and we would tell them when the hall way and when the front of the building was all clear then we would say over the walkie talking shutting of the fire alarm real quick and then reset it and then everyone could go back into the building I went to west branch elementary junior senior high school district and oh boy Both of the fire alarms in both buildings went off at the same time usally sometimes we would do it first in the elementary that I helped out with simplex strobe alarms I usally would pull the fire alarm in the elementary building when they told me / sometimes the high schools est fire alarms went off after the elementary school simplex mechanical fire alarms because they weren’t hooked up right I was if I was still working there they were gonna make both buildings have simplex fire alarms strobe horns and I was gonna get the old simplex fire alarm horn strobes but unfortunately because crap that was going on there I left there and was not able to get the old fire alarms so yea :) have a Gn Jared
I have the electronic horn strobes on code 3 at my school
Cool.
EHS Means Emmaus High School
I would appreciate if you use the abbreviations.
We are having a fire drill Friday October 14th or October 13th or the week after I'm not Rec it my 1st one was on September 16th at 9:37am to 9:45am
Cool. What alarms does the school have?
It has like the same but different
Ok then...
This 4903-9219 sounds like a 9838
Sounds nothing like a 9838.
@@jaredthompson3011 Yeah you're right
This a Old video, but his cafe looks like a Jail Housing Complex
Thats.... a first. Never thought about something like that.
EHS, Evergreen High school?
No.
8th February 10000 (recorded)
Huh?
What EHS stands for?
It's the abbreviations of the name of the school.
Why are they walking like turtles. If theres a fire at my school we out in 5 seconds
I don't know what you mean by them walking slowly. They're somewhat walking to the beat of the horns.
Cool simplex 4903s in March time!
More on the way!
And true alerts doing code 3
I like the horn the mechanical horns on march time
I know you do. So do I.
I have that fire drill sound 0:00 at my school, but code 3
I like how you liked your own comment. Lol
Awwwww man I love your school’s fire alarm system, My high school needed these alarms instead
Thanks and I enjoy this system too! Sadly, this is my last year here.
Jared Thompson we have an est 3 system merged with a wheelock system that replaced simplex 4040’s that were taken down around 1990
This system consists of many models of the 4903 series. However, there are TrueAlerts that are in the newer section of the building.
Jared Thompson new sections at my school get est genesis or est integrity, they also replace dying est pre integrities
Cool. Not much of an EST fan.
I miss that est fire alarm video
Same.
@@jaredthompson3011 hey I hope u don’t mind me asking this let me introduce my self my name is renin reitz I love Walkie talkies and Any type of fire alarms I been a subscriber to you for about three months and I was wondering if there’s a way you could send me that EST fire alarm video that you said he had died with that teacher that just died in that fire alarm video is there a way that u could send that video to me or my email just wondering because I miss it and I have full sympathy for the teacher that had died also is there a way we could ever hang out and test fire alarms I live in the us where do u live in the us or somewhere else if u don’t mind me asking I been in the fire alarm hobbiest for about ever since I was probably 12-or13 years old how long was it when u got into fire alarms and collecting them?!:)
Reninreitz9@gmail.com is my RUclips channel email it would highly appreciate it.:)
As I said before.. I don't have any plans to make that video public. I probably will never make that video public again. As for how long I've been into alarms and stuff. It started way back in high school. I was originally interested in outdoor warning sirens but lost interest due to getting hated on and for how toxic the siren community was. The idea of filming fire alarms came after filming the EHS system for the first time in August of 2017 but it wasn't really until January of 2018 when I first filmed the system. Afterwards, I kept filming the EHS system throughout my senior year. I bought my first alarm (Simplex 4903-9219) just roughly a month from graduation.
Since then, I've been maintaining my very small system. I bought another device a few months later (Simplex 4903-9303). I would love to eventually save my high school system when the time comes to replacing it. The EHS system as well as my fellow friends in the fire alarm community is what kept my interest going. As of right now, I'm building yet another system but I'm not in no hurry to get it done. I have 2 homemade fire panels coming and plenty more to come. My goal in these two systems is to mimic the EHS system. Speaking of which I have a whole playlist of that particular system. Just look it up. You'll like this better than EST.
My school fire alarms sound the exact same
Cool.
Simplex 4903-9238's and Simplex 4903-9401 Sync horn/strobes, all connected into a Simplex 4020 series panel. And i believe a 4100+ panel. Signal code is March Time at 120bpm rate
Don't forget the TrueAlerts. They're set to Code 3.
@@jaredthompson3011 ahh. Thx for reminding me. Forgot that there are Truealerts in the system. 4906 i believe
Either 4903-9245 or a 4906.
the 9238 and 9236 are basically the same, just with different model numbers.
What I heard from, they have different candela settings.
@@jaredthompson3011 there's also another identical electric 4903 called the 4903-9237.
Heard of it.
So I doubt it's a 4903-9403 or 9405.
It's a 9219. There's no 9403 or 9405 on this system.
March time
Don't forget Code 3.

Elementary: Spectralert advance in and out. Middle school: Siemens U-MHU-MCS, Siemens ZH-MC-R, Siemens U-HN-MCS (outside). High school: Wheelock E70/90’s. All of my schools had new crappie alarms, (except for the U-HN-MCS, but that was just outside.) I really wish I could have gone to a school with old simplex mechanical horns. The new alarms are crap.
Every single school I went to had 4903s. All of them set to March Time. Since I graduated, I go to a trade school with EST Genesis horn strobes.
Jared Thompson I never see mechanical horns in person, every time I go to a public facility, there are always electro-mech horns. I rarely see mechanical horns. Maybe it is because I am down south 😆
@@cg7240 They very common up north. Sadly as time goes on, they're being replaced and phased out. The last time I visited the High School a few of the older 4903s had been replaced with TrueAlerts.
Jared Thompson Do you think the truealerts are coded to march time by the panel? It would kind of weird to be in one room with code 3 and March time happening.
Unfortunately no. They being re-use to replace older alarms. I would love to get one if I could.
Dude I seriously miss that est fire alarm vid
I'll have to re-upload it and re-edit it.
@@jaredthompson3011 thank u and when your done reloading it and re-edit it thank u if u send it to my RUclips channel thank u sir :) :(
I'll probably re upload it.
@@jaredthompson3011 oh thanks man I owe u one:)
@@jaredthompson3011 ok dude hey I have to give my phone back to my mom so whenever u get that video reloaded back up I will try to watch it in the morning thanks buddy :)
One min before I go to lunch
Had that happen to me already. I was in elementary school and I was getting lunch. At that same time, I was standing directly underneath a TrueAlert set to high mode. It was loud and scared the heck out of me.
Jared Thompson I had one go of during 4th grade lunch. I was finishing a math test, then the alarms sound I was thinking about fire alarms. Janitor sprayed spider spray
Edit: It was at 11:35 AM we had a drill on that Monday, in December.
Fire drill monthly 120 bpm
Can you please stop spamming that on my channel?
LOL TODAY I HAD A FIRE DRILL TOO
Not trying to be nasty, but can you please stop using caps.
Same here! Wow! Those simplex alarms were going in "March Time".
Yup my favorite coding option.
@@joshuawilliams5006 Are you a firefighter?
@@jaredthompson3011 Yes I will be one soon. I have to wait till I'm 18 though. That's the state law here in Kentucky.
I have the Simplex 4903-9236’s at my school, although they’re on continuous.
Cool.
@@jaredthompson3011 yo I just found out they also have the mechanical version too, It seems as if we have the same alarms except mine are on continuous
Cool. Love the mechanical horn versions.
@@jaredthompson3011 same here, although my favorites are still the electronic
We all love the 4903s no matter what models they are.
Hi I’m going to be going to the school next year and I was wandering if you could post a video of the full school. Sorry if that sounds weird to you.
Hmm.. i would love to but I just don't want to get caught filming. Which school do you currently go to?
berks christian school in Exeter
@@user-id8lw9wn3r I will try but I don't want to get in trouble. Sorry for the late reply.
are there any updates on the Truealerts?
They're working.
@@jaredthompson3011 my high school also has truealerts and they do the same coding as the ones in your school. however, my school also has bells and Simplex 2901-9838's in grilles guarded by some old faraday lights set on march time.
I always liked the 2903 and 4903 light plates. Speaking of TrueAlerts, if you were to go back to evacuation drill that I filmed back in November you can hear them going off faintly.
Two questions. 1. At your school, were the electronic 4903 horn strobe a replacement for dead 4903 9219s or what? 2. How can you tell the difference between the 4903 9238 and 4903 9236? To me they sound the same. Is it because you don’t know which model of the two or what?
I think the 9236 and the 9238 were the replacements for the older ones. I honestly can't tell which model is which.
The difference between the two is the strobe candela. One's 110cd and the other I believe is 15cd
Do you happened to know which one goes to which if you know what I mean?
@@jaredthompson3011 Btw, are the strobes doing code 3 synchronized or is it just the camera that makes it seem like that?
@@jaredthompson3011 The 38 is 110cd and the 36 is 15 or 30cd
I’m moving
Why?
well i live in boyertown and me and my parents decided to move and the house that we got is in emmaus.
also my parents dont ike boyertown
Yeah, that school is a mess.
Also Jared Thompson, I was wondering if you’re a senior cause you said this would be your first and last February drill? I’m a 6th grader and am stuck at a school with EXTREMELY abnoxious alarms!
This is my last full year here, but im staying for half days because I want to become a chef.
@Dale Nuss I also have alarms that are SOOO ANNOYING.. it goes like HONNNNNNKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK and it doesnt stop but in the hals its like HONKK
Annoying is meant to get your attention.
@@jaredthompson3011 yes you are right Jared. My schools alarms are very annoying mostly because the alarms are not located in the classrooms. We were supposed to have a fire drill last week but the panel has broken down. The panel was put in last year so I don’t know how it happened. We have had two drills via a sound on the intercom and building fire wardens flashing their phone lights in the hall 🤣
What is the new panel?
Did you ask yet?
I asked and they said no.
You have a fire drill at school
Yup. Sadly, I'm no longer this school.
It is February to have no fire drill
Well, every month there's supposed to be a drill.
It is winter time
Yes... its winter season.
